This was our first time to Aicha Moroccan Cuisine in San Francisco. The food, service, and ambiance were very nice. We had the lamb tagine with prunes and almonds, and the mixed kebab platter couscous. The meats were so tender and flavorful! We also ordered chicken bastilla, a sweet-savory dish, to go. The bread and mint tea were delicious and complimented the meal well. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience.

I love finding a good, low key, family run Hole In The Wall restaurant. Inside has nicely done murals painted on the walls, some worn out seating, some lighting that could use improvement...but you're here for the tasty food that won't break the bank. The staff, a single gentleman, was friendly and energetic at the end of Sunday night. $20 Lamb Tagine with Prunes & Almonds...a nice thick, meaty, tender, fall of the bone hunk of lamb. The flat bread was light, fluffy, and thicker than a typical pita...a perfect vessel for dipping in the tagine sauces. So delicious! $22 Mix Kebab Platter Couscous...DEI at its finest? A lovely mix of grilled Chicken, Beef, Lamb, and sausage all living in harmony, on top of generous pile of cous cous and garbanzo beans. Quite good! But the lamb is better.

We were in town to visit. My family was in the mood for Moroccan cuisine. Specifically looking for bastilla. We walked in and were seated. We ordered a chicken bastilla and a veggie bastilla to start. For the meal we got a chicken tagine,a lamb kebab, and a veggie couscous. The bastilla was nicely seasoned ,I really liked the sweet and savory taste. It has a dusting of powder sugar and cinnamon on top. The chicken tagine was fall off the bone tender. The couscous portion was big enough for 2 people. The kabob was ok. It could have used more salt. My only negative was the bastilla, I'm pretty sure that they microwaved it to heat it up and finished it up in the broiler.(I understand as I worked in a restaurant. Sometimes to save time you pre make items. I just wanted it to be warmed longer and kept under the broiler longer. Mine was a little cold in spots)

Came here on a Friday night with a friend. It wasn't super busy, which meant service was fairly quick. Salad trio: I liked this as a tasting! And the bread that went with it was quite good too. Lamb tagine with almond and prunes: the lamb literally fell off the bone as started to cut with a fork. This was unbelievably good. Beef kebab maghdour: this is a new dish. Full of flavor and so good. The beef was definitely tougher than the lamb tagine, but still very good. Cinnamon couscous: yuuum. And fits well with the flavors of the meat dishes Prices were very reasonable and I left very full. Will definitely be back.

Outstanding, authentic food at a very reasonable price. We loved the chicken, lamb, and appetizers.

Unassuming treasure with outstanding food and service. Everything we tried was delicious, the service was great, and we will return to explore the other menu offerings!

One of my best finds this year! The lamb is slow cooked, falls off the bone, has a lovely hint of sweetness, and comes with delicious house-made bread

Best experience I had in all of the Restaurants I been in SF! Staff are so friendly and the food is soooo goood!! I ordered through doordash one time late at night and forgot to add soda in my order. I told the staff, since I'm omw to pick it up my order I will just pay soda in person, but they decided to give the soda for Free instead!!!!! They also added a home made bread as welll!!! It was sooo goood too!!! Hands down the BEST Moroccan Cuisine in town coupled with the BEST and friendliest Staffs I've ever seen!! 2 thumbs up!!! Well deserved 5 star!!

    Seating

Seafood Bastille is average. Way too much oil in the fry. Very little seafood. Chicken Tagine is excellent as is the bread with it. Slightly higher salt. Mint tea came with sugar but was replaced without when requested. tasted good without the sugar. Nice little spot. Good decor. Friendly and efficient service.

I love Moroccan cuisine and this neighborhood spot in San Francisco is the perfect casual spot to open the doors to Moroccan food. I have been going to Aicha for the past few years and some of the other Moroccan restaurants in San Francisco offer belly dancing and music and a more pricier menu. Aicha is a good introduction to Moroccan cuisine. My friends and I ordered the chicken kebabs, the lamb tagine, kefta tagine and the fabulous chicken bastilla. The lambs were tender and came with a really good sauce as well as the kefta tagine which is beef and lamb meatballs. The kefta sauce goes very well with the riceband bread. The chicken bastilla is one of my favorite appetizers and it's a meat pie with combination of sweet and savory flavors that is topped with powdered sugar and cinnamon. The letdown though was the chicken kebabs which were pretty hard and dry. I've had it before in the past and it's normally tender but last night, it was pretty dry. Service is normal and they are very short staffed, so it's just one guy pretty much doing all of the work, so be prepared to be patient, but be prepared to enjoy amazing food as well. Love it!

La Vaca Birria is counter service- you order at the counter, you pick up your food at the counter. The menu is fairly simple, and who needs overly extensive when what you're ordering is hitting a 10 out of 10 in taste and flavor ?!? Working backwards, the Horchata is delicious! I often find that when I order Horchata at different restaurants, it's either been watered down, or somethings going on with it where it's locking the fullness in flavor. Chips- house made. Perfectly crunchy, definitely tasty, could have used salt or some seasoning. I still enjoyed them. I ordered three birria tacos with consommé. ( combo #4) with the plan being that I would enjoy one and have the other two later on. These were so good, that I finished all three. The meat is tender, flavorful, and the overall flavor profile super tasty. The consommé did exactly what it was supposed to do and added a layer of flavor to the tacos. I found that that's not always the case, but this was definitely the exception. The tacos were fairly light on the filling, which is why I was able to finish all three. The added bonus is the house made churro that comes in the combo. Who doesn't like a tasty churro? Services nonexistence since it's a counter situation. Are you getting the biggest bang for your buck here? No, not really. It's pretty pricey for the offerings. The meal cost pretty close to $30. Definitely not cheap eats. Go for the deliciousness!

Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We shared one breakfast platter, and it was more than enough for us. The restaurant itself is also beautiful, with a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy your meal. The biggest disappointment was the Turkish coffee. I had been telling my husband how amazing authentic Turkish coffee can be because I had previously visited a Turkish café in San Mateo where the coffee was served in a traditional pot alongside Turkish delights, allowing you to refill your small cup. I expected something similar here. Instead, we each received only a tiny cup for around $5, which felt more like ordering a small espresso. It wasn't bad, but it definitely didn't live up to our expectations. The service was another area that could be improved. We arrived early and were ready to order, but we waited quite a while before anyone came to our table. During that time, I noticed another table that had arrived after us was greeted, had their order taken, and thus received their food before we were served. That was a little frustrating. One small inconvenience is that there is only one restroom for the restaurant. Despite those issues, the food was excellent, and that's what matters most. We would absolutely come back for the Turkish breakfast because it was truly delicious. Overall, I'd give this place 4 out of 5 stars. With a little improvement in service and a more memorable Turkish coffee experience, it would easily be a 5-star restaurant.

Parking for this location was very difficult, especially when you visit on a busy day. The atmosphere is moody and dark which is perfect for a date night. I ordered - Burma Chicken Mint - Nan Pia Dok - Tea leaf salad We started off with the tea salad since it was highly suggested by our waiter. I love the amount of toppings they add onto the salad and having it served table side is even better. For the salad, it was more savory and the flavor was light which helped bring out the salad more; which is a positive. The Nan Pia Dok noodles were also served table side and honestly, this was good but not quite extraordinary. Eventually halfway, the noodles lost its flavor and just felt like stir fried noodles with toppings. This was also more of a savory dish. The Burma Chicken Mint dish was also somewhat delicious but fell short towards the end as it tasted exactly what it looks like. It's not bad but does get boring fast. If you love spicy food then I highly recommend getting this; otherwise it's not really for me. The service is honestly top notch, can't really complain when the person serving you the salad is extremely friendly which breaks the awkward silence every now and then. Overall, I would definitely come back to try some of the other dishes as I'm venturing into newer territory, and honestly that's okay. The service and food was decent enough for me to give it another chance. The salad was honestly the best thing to get here.
