Not only did she wrap the pita up seperately to keep it fresh, she put the olive oil and spice in a little container seperately to keep everything as fresh as possible. Great medeteranian spot in west mobile at the corner oof Schillinger and cottage Hill behind Foosaklys. I love the redneck hero. It has lamb and Conecuah sausage and cheese with a creamy spicy sauce. My wife love the Moroccan lamb wrap. It has an island slaw on it. Their hummus is very different from other spots, but very good. We get extra feta cheese on it and extra pita. It boasts Rotisserie Chicken, Conecuh Sausage, African Spiced BBQ Sauce, Jalapeno Confit, Red Onion, Cheddar and Gouda Cheese, and Béarnaise Aioli Sauce. It is the bomb. Not bad. I ordered a plain gyro, everything tasted fresh and crispy. The lamb was juicy and the sauce was bursting with flavor. Had a bite of the Cheesy K-Bob, which was also quite surprising. Both dishes were amazingly really good, and the price was right. My only disappointment was that they didn't have a side of falafel balls to enjoy with my gyro. It was Monday evening and some of my favorite spots were closed (gotta love Monday's in Mobile ) so I was looking for a new place to try that had pretty good reviews. I also had half of a Greek salad on the side, that was pretty standard to taste but a half serving was like a full salad, I can only imagine what a normal size would be like! The dressing for the salad was delicious, I'd order the salad again just for that. The pita bread on the side was very tasty as well. My fiancé had the redneck gyro and seemed to enjoy it. I had a couple bites of it and I must say, the meat was very flavorful! We got a baklava on the side as a dessert, I had to save it for later because I was too full from dinner, but it was good! After a friend recommended this establishment a few weeks ago, I was finally able to drop by and try it out. You place your order at the register and pay, then find a table and they bring your order out to you. I had the hummus and the basic gyro. The hummus was excellent! Maybe the best I have had in Mobile. Lots of flavor, and the pita was very good also. I'm not sure, but they may make their own pita from the looks of it. The gyro was also very good. I'll likely be back at some point but I'm going to be sure to double-check my sides since they did not include one of my items, which was fairly frustrating. This local place is amazing! All the local people who live here told me I had to eat here. The guy who served us who I think is the owner or manager gave the best customer service ever. He was talking with me about where I was from and offered me several free samples when I let him know I had never tried canecca (not sure if I spelled that right). After eating and gabbing for a while he even brought us a baclava to try on the house. I learned that this place makes everything in house even their jalapeños, which they pickle in sugar - they are to die for! I highly recommend this spot.
