Wanted some dessert after dinner so decided to get some grass jelly here since I haven't came here in years. The parking in this plaza isn't the easiest but they do have underground parking. There is a large indoor seating area with comfortable seats. You can order at the counter or at the kiosks. We got the Signature Ice Grass Jelly ($10) and added red bean topping ($1), and also got the Signature Hot Red Bean Soup ($10) with additional grass jelly as topping ($1). The toppings are kinda expensive so didn't add more. The menu has a good variety of dessert options, hot and cold, plus drinks. Their shaved ice looked pretty good so I do want to come back someday. We did dine in so we took a seat while we waited. When the order is ready, they send a text to the number provided and you go to the pick up area. And they have small bowls and spoons to grab yourself if needed, which I liked. I liked the signature ice grass jelly. The portion is pretty big for the price and is good enough for two people to share. The taro and pumpkin balls are as good as I remember, and they tasted good with the grass jelly and shaved ice. I did do less ice but it was still a big portion for two. It tasted extra good after adding the half and half. For the hot red bean soup, it was pretty good too with the taro scoops inside. But I still prefer the iced desserts. Overall, this is a safe dessert spot option for Taiwanese grass jelly, shaved ice, and drinks. They have lots of Taiwanese options to choose from. I think it isn't as popular as it used to be with all the new spots opening up but it is a good Taiwanese dessert and boba spot. It is not amazing but the quality and portion are both good.
Enjoyed the shaved ice with various mochi, different jellies, peanut. Alll of it was covered in condensed milk. 3 people shared one after dinner and we did not finish it. They gave all sorts of drinks and can choose the level of sweetness, you order in the front, given a buzzer and pick up your own order. Parking can be a bit challenging
The dessert here definitely taste better fresh and especially at this location. Arcadia location is okay... its hit or miss for consistency. This location, the service is ehhhhh ... young teens who dont want to work or avoid interactions with customers . No smile or eye contact. I come here 1x a week . If u need the bathroom, they won't give u the code, u MUST purchase something first and then you'll get a code to use bathroom .. my daughter had to use bathroom so badly but we had to order first . We tried to ask employee if we can use it first. Strictly whisper 'no'. So I asked another person... he gave us the wrong code .... unbelievable employees here. Atmosphere is nice . Parking is hard to find, so go underground for parking. Its in a nice plaza with a variety of foods and places to hang out if u want to come here to meet with friends and family . Ill give this place after 3 star since employees here show no interest to work there and horrible attitudes. U can just take anyone's order... they don't even care . If u asked them where is my order, they whisper softly .. honestly they cant even put effort to vocalize but i can hesr them talking amongst each other normally with normal voices . Anyways... Someone took our order and they didn't even know or care. Just let them know and they'll remake it. You'll get a text message when your order is ready . I only come here for authentication dessert, disregard the employees. Hehe
I've been coming here since they've been opened. I remembered the days when the lines were out the door and there were no kiosk ordering. It's nice to see it's still busy on a Friday night with big groups gathering. Because of the big groups, it's quite loud. Good amount of seating but the attention to the tables is lacking. I understand it gets busy, but the tables were not wiped down. We had to do it ourselves. The servers are not very friendly considering the fact that we're not even ordering with them. They just have to call our names. They are soft spoken and we couldn't hear or tell who they are calling. I still enjoy the desserts especially the Icy Grass Jelly Signature. The drinks are also yummy and my daughter loves their egg waffle.
This is my first time here and I thought that it was a little pricey for a bowl of ice grass jelly, two sesame balls, sago and almond pudding. Each item was tasty enough but the grass jelly and almond pudding could've had more flavor and the textures were a little too soft. I enjoyed it as it brought me back to my childhood when my great grandma would make these desserts for Chinese new year. Service is fast but not super helpful. The place was busy and people seemed to be doing family style but it felt a a little chaotic and messy.
I got the winter melon tea half sweet with caramel pudding and the drink is sooo sweet! Thank goodness I got half sugar. But it's very good! Nice and velvety. Also I ordered the crystal mochi and mung bean mochi set and the crystal mochi is sooo good with red bean inside, very soft and delicate! I didn't really enjoy the mung bean cakes! That's okay though I'll still come back to get other things. My roommate got the tofu pudding set and really enjoyed that.
Ordered the ice signature grass jelly with q mochi as an additional topping. It was good, and a nice refreshing treat especially on a warm day but giving it a 4 instead of a 5 star because they only gave me two pieces of q mochi, and I paid additional for that extra topping. Service was good, I received my order at the counter within 5 minutes of ordering. There is plenty of seating inside and you drop your tray and bowls off at the drop off window. Parking can be difficult since it's in a busy plaza with other shared businesses. Meet fresh is a safe option for Asian dessert imo.
I will tell my story as how it happened. I was in Temple City. I needed to use the restroom like quick. I got lucky to have found a parking spot in the Camellia Square where Meet Fresh is located. I knew they were the biz that would have a restroom. I quickly walked in and headed to the restroom area. A code is required. I had to get the code from the staff at the front counter. I thought they were "All Gender" restrooms so I quickly punched in the code at the very first restroom closest to me. Well, they are not "All Gender" restrooms. I mistakenly went into the wrong restroom. Oh well, first time for everything. Funny thing is that two people came into the restroom I was in shortly after I entered. Luckily, they used the urinal. It's my fault I entered the wrong restroom, but seriously, they should have a different code for the women's and men's restrooms IMHO. This is one story that I will never forget! LOL In support of Meet Fresh, I ordered the Coco Sago Soup Signature to-go via their self-ordering kiosk. Staff was friendly. The wait time wasn't too bad. Unfortunately, for the last few Meet Fresh locations including this one that I have visited recently, their dining area is just a mess. Tables and chairs are not clean and organized. Floors are not swept. Atmosphere just looks dirty. Sorry, but I am a stickler when it comes to cleaniless and organization. They need to have dedicated staff to attend to the dining area throughout the day. THIS IS A MUST! Anyway, the Coco Sago Soup Signature had tons of great ingredients such as taro, miniature taro balls, soft and chewy boba, coconut flavored mochi, soft and bouncy sago, and freshly made coco sago soup which I love. It was good overall. However, I was surprised it did not taste sweet at all. I may have to ask them to sweeten it if I should get it again.
Meet Fresh is my go-to spot for Egg Waffles. I love ordering via their self-pay kiosk but not too crazy about the wait for the order - it can take up to 20 to 30 minutes. Price is average and portions & taste are equivalent to that. They share a parking lot along with 8 other dining establishments, a bakery, some retail shops, and a gym so finding a parking may be a bit rough if you come during dinner time or weekends. Overall, a nice place to grab dessert after dinner.
Great location right next to Bistro Na's in Teapot Plaza. Ordering is easy with the self-serve kiosks by the front door. Our go-tos are the grass jelly signature and their seasonal shaved ice. You really can't go wrong with the sweet potato and taro balls, super bouncy and so satisfying. Not to mention, it's a legit Taiwanese dessert spot, the flavors and textures feel authentic, making it a place we're always happy to come back to!
Once Upon a Time this place had more customer service and now everything is pretty much automated. You order from machines when you go in and then pick up your order at a counter with no pager or any notification of any sort. You just kind of have to figure it out. Not going to lie, there's stuff used to be considered pretty overpriced but now it's pretty much on par with how expensive everything's gotten. They didn't really raise their prices so I would consider it almost Fair now. I usually customize a grass jelly dessert and sometimes will get drinks. The one thing you can expect from them is definitely consistency. If you like their stuff you will, if you don't you won't. I won't post a picture of all the things other people take pictures of but I will definitely say absolutely do not get their egg waffle. I was really disappointed with my recent visit. I ordered the grape and strawberry shaved ice with a taro scoop and brown sugar boba, but my order didn't come out correctly. On top of that, the portion was surprisingly small for the price--I paid $18 for just the shaved ice (plus a $2 tip). For that cost, I expected something much more substantial and accurate. We came here after dinner and wanted to try something new, they had so much to choose from. The kiddo's got some boba and jam and chocolate milk drink that was a nice dessert combo and my hubs got a mango fruit type tea that was really refreshing, but they had a variety of goodies to eat and drink. I would totally come back and try out their food collections, it seems like you can't go wrong with whatever you pick. read more

i got a shaved ice for my family of 6 to share and it was perfect. i feel like this could be for 8 people. We really like the brown sugar, boba, and the ice cream. i think there's also some type of milk tea in it, which we also enjoyed. My favorite topping is rice balls, which i always add. read more

Originated from Taiwan, Meat Fresh is known for its refreshing herbal grass jelly and sweet and chewy taro balls, both of which can be served hot or cold. The brand gained popularity in Asia for its healthy desserts made without preservatives. Stepping into the store, I'm embraced by the smell of warm taro steaming, sweet and starchy. Love the traditional decor with a modern twist. Plenty of seating that you can talk and chill for a bit with friends and family. Service was efficient and easy ordering from the Kiosk. The red bean signature was warm and hearty. The sweetness is subtle and not overwhelming. It's one of my favorites, thanks to the big chunks of taro and taro balls, but especially because of the tanyuan, sticky rice balls filled with black sesame, so delicious! Their drinks are also another form of dessert, great for on the go. We have been coming here for many years. It's a great dessert spot around the area. read more

We got takeout for a big group, but somehow they didn't press finalize on the first order, so the second smaller order was ready first and after waiting a while and asking, they realized the error and prepped the first one. I ordered the pudding and q mochi milk shaved ice which was big enough for 3 people but was greedily shared between 2. So delicious and would order it again. The shave ice held up surprisingly well for takeout too. read more

Parking: Meet Fresh is located in the Temple City plaza. It shares a parking lot with several other restaurants such as Bistro Na, Green Zone, Summer Rolls, and Bafang. Parking is often difficult to find during meal times. Interior: The cleanliness varies. Sometimes the tables are sticky and the trashcans are overfilling with trash. Other times, it is actually quite clean. Service: They are definitely not known for their service. It usually takes a while for them to complete the orders even when they are not busy. They also removed the prices from the menus. You can only view the prices by adding the items to the cart if you order on the kiosk. I know Meet Fresh is expensive especially in the US but come on... I would rather have the prices there for me to see. Food: I love Meet Fresh. The drinks are mediocre but their grass jelly, tang yuan, and taro yuan are all great. I used to come once in a while to treat myself but will be coming even less often now that their prices are hidden. read more

As a Taiwanese girly, I love my Taiwanese dessert! My go-to is the Icy Grass Jelly Signature ($8.75), which comes with Grass jelly on top of a bed of grass jelly flavored shaved ice. It's topped with soft and chewy taro and sweet potato balls. They also give you a little half-and-half coffee creamer to add on top. We also ordered a Black Sugar Boba Milky Shaved Ice ($11.75) which came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, caramel pudding, boba, red bean, a separate container of boba in brown sugar syrup. It was tasty and a big enough portion to share amongst 2-3 people. There are lots of tables inside to sit at, and although I love their desserts, they are on the pricier end. Additionally, the workers are definitely understaffed - they are always so busy they don't have time to answer questions, and the wait for the desserts took more than 20 minutes. Everything is self-serve (including the kiosk to order at) and you have to bus your finished dishes back yourself as well. There are lots of parking spots in the garage underground. Overall, still one of my favorite places to get dessert as long as you're willing to wait and pay their prices. read more

Poor management leads to poor results. This place is like a zoo. I really feel bad for the workers in the front. They are trying to work (making desserts, drinks, egg waffles etc) but they constantly called by customer to follow up on their orders. This problem can be easily fixed by have one person work on one thing and others on other tasks. Have one dedicated person calling the number and distributing the food. My order took 30 minutes but I can see it say in front of them for at least 10 minutes. When I questioned, the worker glanced over and said it'd take a while. I just saw another person ordered after me and number after me just got his food!! Ended up getting melted drinks, melted dessert. The portion is off too. It was a late night on a Saturday and after dinner we wanted something sweet and hang out longer. We chose Meet Fresh because we already know the drinks are good and it closes at 11pm. It was pretty crowded inside when we arrived around 9pm, but we were able to get a table for us 6 (plus a stroller). We ordered (one at a time) on the touchpad and it did take long since the four of us each ordered our own drinks. I ordered my usual fresh milk tea, less ice, half sweet, no toppings. My friends order different milk teas and a winter melon lemon tea (which is very good at Meet Fresh). The number on your receipt is called out but sometimes you might miss it given how loud it can get inside. But if you stare at the counter you can sort of tell if it's your or not and just check the label for your receipt number. What I learned from my friend was you get a text once your order is ready but I got a text 30min after it was ready and I had it. But it's cool if it worked! Seating on one side of the place were mainly stools and booths and on the other side is different. Plenty of space and the only thing I'd mention is parking, try to find them anywhere you can since parking is a bit tight! We also got to try the red bean shaved ice with ice cream, mochi, and other stuff. It was delicious! And the staff who handed it to us was very sweet and so welcoming! The process here is so slow. It gets crowded yes, but we had to wait 30-45 minutes to get our order after placing through the kiosk. Usually that wait for dessert is pretty bizarre. Multiple times people had to walk up to the pickup center to ask about their order because things were so backed up, not really the ideal experience. In terms of food here, its good, very refreshing. Got two desserts to share with 6 people. Icy Grass Jelly - Loved this, it was light and super refreshing. Ingredients were fresh. (4.5/5) Taro Mochi Shaved Ice - My favorite, adjusted sweetness to 50%, I think they just lower the amount of condense milk. Taro was warm and mochi was a nice chewy texture. Ice cream hit the spot forsure. (5/5) All in all, service / wait time here needs to be worked on. The food is good but it doesn't justify the long wait time. You're best bet is to order through their app and just pickup instead of waiting because it's a big waste of time. read more

We came here an hour before closing and it was suppppppppwr packed! This seems like the kick it spot in the summer. They had plenty of tables to accomodate large groups such as ours,(11 people). Their snow was delicious! We purchased a large and a regular that we shared with our group. I also got the grass jelly herbal tea with milk. It was exactly how it sounds, and delicious for my cravings being 6 months pregnant! I would definitely come here for my summer sweets for the rest of the summer! Parking is was difficult to find as it shares a plaza with many other popular restaurants! We also felt the tables were not wiped between customers, otherwise this place would be excellent. read more

Take a picture of the order/receipt and go to the store and tell them about it. If you're lucky, they just might give you a topping for free.
