See my "tip" for the beginning of this from July15... Okay, I dug into the sandwich... :( First of all it was supposed to come (as per the menu) on a "crunchy rye hoagie roll". It came on a cold white roll. Then when I asked for the rye, I was brought the same filling (now cold and not much compared to the bread!) on a cold wheat roll. When I questioned about the rye, I was told "that is our rye." I know rye and that wasn't. :( I still love the pizza, pretzels (same dough as the pizza) and the red sangria, but I probably won't venture to try another hoagie. read more

Love this place. For a chain restaurant, the pizza is great. Always great service here too. I have had one issue using them for Uber eats but it wasn't their fault. They fixed my order no problem at all. The reason they have 4 stars is the waste table space with this weird ass alien vs predator table that takes up SO much room and no one sits there. It doesn't match any themes in the restaurant and it just looks dumb. Plus when it's a 40' wait, the table space could be very valuable. read more

They have outdoor seating but don't want family's with dogs business. Our 15 pound pup in a covered stroller is better behaved than most kids and for some reason this mellow mushroom location is bias against dog families. We have not had mellow mushroom for years and I honestly cannot remember why we stopped going. Anyway, we knew we wanted a specific specialty pizza (Meatball Ricotta) that we had enjoyed previously at another MM location. Unbeknownst to us the specials are location specific. I had my heart set on this pizza, so I called the other location and found out they no longer have it, but the guy on the phone found an older menu and shared it with me! Brandon location was able to make it and my heart was so happy!! It was amazing. We also ordered the cheese garlic toast which was good. It is no muffalata bread, but since they discontinued that it worked for us. We got our pie ToGo and service was great. We will be returning to enjoy more pizza soon! As usual the food was great ! Would've given 5 stars but a little upset about the service we received tonight. Ordered an appetizer and a large half and half pie. With a beer. After being checked on a few times I was never asked if i wanted a second beer, when I finally asked for one, I believe my server must have forgotten about me and was too busy chatting with the other young woman working. Mind you I would completely understand if the place was packed and she forgot but, for it to be as slow as it was and to be too caught up in her own conversation was a little aggravating. By the time I got my beer we were already ready for our boxes and check so I sent the beer back. Great food andServer just needs to be a little more attentive. Update ! We arrived at 6 pm on a Friday, expecting a wait, we were told 15 minutes, there were 3 parties before us and empty tables. After 45 minutes someone came up to help the 3 people "sitting people" and seated us at a table that had been empty since we arrived. Our server came up right away she was great and had our drinks immediately. We thought our evening turned around. We had ordered an appetizer.... After watching tables be seated order and served after us at now 730pm we decided enough was enough. I stood up and the waitress had our appetizer. She asked if i needed anything i told her i was trying to find her to cancel our order. We decided to give it another try. After our appetizer we waited another 30 minutes for our pizza. We could hear hangry tables next to us complain about not even getting drinks after 15-20 minutes, food after an hour upon arrival. Well we waited for our dinner for 2 hours. Our waitress was bussing tables, helping in the to go area and every where she could while multiple people stood up front just taking names. We enjoy the food we have always ordered pick up. We will not be dining in again and after our dining experience and things we saw, we hesitate to eat here at all. I should add the waitress did talk to her manager and had given us our appetizer and a drink for free which was not asked for and appreciated. It is a shame an obviously well liked restaurant is not better prepared for customers. Proper employee utilization should be a priority. read more

I knew they had at least one lunch special, but turns out there are several options to choose from with choice of pizza by the slice(s) and salads, and also comes with a drink (beer or soda). I was pleasantly surprised by the selection so set forth with a two pizza slice option and added toppings (though they do charge a small amount per slice for extra toppings, its worth it). Pizza was very good, whatever they do to that dough is just amazing. Lunch time was not as crowded as some places get, so I was able to get in and out in a timely fashion. Out the door for lunch this good around $10 so it won't be my last... And as others noted, if you check in on Yelp, you'll get a free appetizer to use with the purchase of a full pizza; I'm saving that for next time. read more

Mellow Mushroom is my favorite pizza place. I usually just get a simple pepperoni pizza, I have tried multiple specialties they have there that are also really good. I also really like the pretzels they have, and they make a really good spicy ranch. I end up spending way to much alone on a pizza but I'll splurge for the quality I'm getting. Found mellow mushroom by chance while exploring around, and I'm glad my wife and I stopped in! Caitlin was amazing, super friendly and quick to offer up food suggestions. I went with her suggestion if the Buffalo chicken Pizza and it was delicious. We are thinking about moving to florida and Caitlin gave us some much needed information on the area all while ensuring we stayed satisfied with our food and drink. After arriving in Tampa from Miami with two hungry kids and two adults who desperately needed an adult beverage, I knew we needed to make a beeline for MM. You can get awesome food, delicious beer and the kids can be loud and not worry about disturbing others. We ordered the small greek salad, half order of soft pretzels, holy shiitake pizza, two craft beers, and two kids meals. We happened to be visiting during happy hour so all beers were $2 off. The kids meals are a steal at $5.50. The portions are gigantic for kids and include a veggie or fruit, and a drink. Our server, Catelyn was fantastic. Mellow mushroom has some great options for a different selection of pizzas. Most recently I ordered the Mighty Meaty - Mellow red sauce with mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, ham and applewood smoked bacon. I crave for this Pizza anytime I am eating some other knock off meat pizza from dominos or pizza hut. The ingrdedients, the crust, just everything together makes this my go to pizza. I will say the wait time does take a little longer than I would like But for what I'm getting, it's definitely worth it. The restaurant is a cute fever dream of large mushrooms and trippy colors. I definitely like to stay and eat so my pizza is fresh out the kitchen but taking it to go is fine as well, the pizza will hold. Went there for lunch with a friend. We ordered their bruschetta and portobello mushroom sandwich. Even though they've changed their menu and didn't have that sandwich anymore on their menu, they were still able to make it. The bruschetta was very good but they overheated both sandwiches. I love this place. The best part is the happy hour! $1 beers and 1/2 priced apps everyday from 3-5. But the best part is the bartenders. These two young ladies are amazing. They take care of the bar and the tables in the bar area. No matter how crowded it is they are always attentive and personable to every one. I will continue visiting thiS mellow instead of the one in Wesley Chapel/Lutz which is 5 minutes from my house because of the excellent service and the best happy hour I know of.
