Great pizza and service. Came in for a late lunch and service was quick and professional. They do have indoor and outdoor seating, employees wear masks, tables and seats are clean. As for the food, we got 3 different medium pizzas. The Holy Shiitake Pie was the favorite of everyone at the table, the mushrooms add a vaguely sweet flavor without being overpowering. I'm generally not a fan of a lot of mushrooms but this combination they put together worked great to make an awesome pizza. We also got the Kosmic Karma and the Veg Out both were very similar in taste, both are very good, main differences is Veg Out has lots of olives and the Kosmic Karma has some pesto sauce on top that looks neat but I didn't notice it adding anything to the taste. read more

What toppings that were on them were pretty and the pepperoni was delicious. I asked for one regular crust and one thin crust. I didn't get any thin crust. The dough was ok but tough. I have had way better pizza crust elsewhere, I also ordered 5 hot wings and 5 Teriyaki. The doneness of the wings were good. There was no hot sauce on them that I could taste and the Teriyaki was weak.. I think all things considered it was just average and very expensive. I paid $103.00 for 2 pizzas and 5 wings. I like the strong anchovy flavor, but some might not. I had the California club, which was served on cold bread that bordered on stale (yuck). They were generous with the avocado, which helped the bread go down. I had tater tots on the side, and they were not quite crispy and not well seasoned. My husband had the steak and cheese hoagie, which he called "hard to screw up, but only okay." My kids got kids meals. I liked that they served apples as the only side, but no one was impressed by the pepperoni french toast pizza or the mac and cheese. Met a foodie friend and my oldest son at the Brandon location and we're seated immediately since we arrived at 11:30. Our waitress was very pleasant and patient with us as it took us a while to read the menu. My friend had the barbecue chicken pizza, my son had the white pizza and I had a veggie pizza - I paid extra to have pepperoni added. The only reason I'm giving this review 4 stars instead of five stars is because some of the vegetables were barely cook on top of my pizza and I took them off as raw veggies seemed a little unappealing. Not too sure what happened to this place. I went here for lunch to enjoy my favorite pizza. When the slices came out there was no mistaking that pur pizza was not made fresh. It clearly was premade cheese pizza with the topping we selected thrown on top and into a microwave or oven to melt the cheese on top of cheese. My ricotta and cheese pizza was disgusting. The ricotta was cold and the crust was warm. Then my husband ordered his slice with mushrooms and well it was so gross he could not finish it. The waitress was amazing. When I asked her why they threw raw mushroom onto a pizza and served it like that I was told that only the mushroom trio contains cooked mushrooms. All other mushrooms are served raw on a pizza. Is this correct? The texture was so funny. That cant be right. I know the owner holds what they serve to a higher standard than the garbage we were served. Advice...even if the pizza is premade cheese throw it in the oven so it is hot just as if we ordered a pie. And for god sake COOK the mushrooms please. Im so sad to see this place going down hill. Daughter and I travel to Florida for a girls trip. While there we called mellow mushroom that was closest to where we were staying to see if we can make a reservation on the patio. They told us reservations were not necessary and just show up. I explained to them that I'm traveling to out of town with my daughter and my three small dog. Will it be OK to sit on the patio? The person on the other end of the phone said it wouldn't be a problem once I arrive 10 minutes later I was denied access and we couldn't sit on the patio with our dogs, when I explained I was not what I was told 10 minutes prior I saw the person come to someone else and ask them about the conversation and I never said anything about dogs. Which was entirely because that was the whole purpose of my call to make sure that it was going to be OK and not waste my time. The woman comes back to me, and I immediately told her that was not true from that point she walked away and started to converse with several other employees and then never come back up to the front. This is not how you do Business, walking out because at that point, I don't even want to do business with someone who can't be professional. Visited Mellow's after a long day and about a 2 hour trip to Tampa. The wait was going to be longer but we were seated in about 15 mins on a Saturday night around 8 pm. It was very busy that night. I have been to other Mellow Mushrooms and everyone here did an excellent job. Our server was very helpful in keeping up with our drinks and even getting us kettle chips and our wings. We had finger food for lunch and was hungry. All meals were great. I was too busy eating to take pictures. Husband and I shared a meat pizza. Kids had their own kid pizza, one with a side of broccoli and the other with apples. Husband ordered a drink that I didn't know the name of. It was white with toasted coconut on the rim. I had a sip and it was good. They weren't watered down like other restaurants tend to make drinks. Lastly, we had two chocolate chip cookies and a brownie. The best thing ever to have heated up.
