If you're looking for really good pizza then Mellow Mushroom is the place. 1st time here and there was 5 of us so we got 2 Medium pizzas (4 of us shared the 2 pizzas). We got the Philosophy Pie and the Loaded Potato Pizza. For the appetizers, we got the Pretzel bites w/ the PBR beer cheese and the Cloud9 wings. The Pretzel bites were very fresh and the beer sauce was just the right consistency. As for the wings, they were very delicious. Just the slight hint of spiciness and it was good by itself. We forgot it was supposed to come w/ Ranch. The Philosper's Pie had pitted olives which was unexpected but all slices were eaten. The Loaded Potato pizzas just like a baked potato. It had slices of baked potatoes and all that was left were 2 slices because we were all so full. Service was good as well, we were checked on by the staff several times. Overall, this is a great pizza joint to visit if you're ever in Fort Worth by TCU.

Half Mighty Meaty and House Special

After conquering our steps at the Forth Worth Zoo we back in the best pie in town. Of course we started with a fresh House Salad before diving in to some delicious slices. Our server Samantha was top notch. The ambiance was all pizza and good vibes. The pies on point as always.

Mellow Mushroom Fort Worth is Mellow Mushroom #7 on my quest to rate all the Mellows, and the final Mellow of 4 I've been to in DFW. The vibes of this Mellow were my favorite of DFW's 4 Mellows (McKinney, Denton, Arlington, and Fort Worth). Although none of the 4 lean strongly into the eclectic decor (The "best decor" title in my experience belongs to the Athens, GA Mellow and Denton wins for DFW), this one had a small-town kinda feel that the others didn't. Probably because it's right next to TCU. Of all 4 DFW Mellows, Fort Worth also wins the "Fastest time to put out 1 large specialty pizza" award, clocking in at a clean 17 minutes and 44 seconds. Yes, I timed it, and yes, that'll be a criterion going forward as I rate the remaining 120 Mellow Mushrooms. We tried out the new Merry Prankster specialty pizza and loved it. I'm traditionally a "Mighty Meaty," "Funky Q," or "Pacific Rim" guy myself so didn't think I could fall in love with a new specialty. Will definitely swing by my favorite Mellow Mushroom in DFW again!

Trippy Pizza Box

I had this amazing place once in Memphis and googled to see if I had one in my area and to my surprise it is one 7 minutes from me. I was worried that it couldn't be the same one from Memphis but when I tasted that "Holy Shiitake" pizza I knew it was the same brand!! I love their pizza, even though I've only tried the "Holy Shiitake" mushroom pizza I love the style and the incorporation of mushrooms. I love the trippy boxes! I look forward to trying more flavors and items. I came in to order my pizza to go, had a drink at the bar that wasn't bad and seen other families dining in.

Looking for a great place to enjoy pizza as a family or with friends... Mellow mushroom is the place to be! Cool vibes, great atmosphere, and wonderful service! The pizza is absolutely spectacular, the pretzels are marvelous, and the sauces and seasonings were all on point! We couldn't settle on toppings so we ordered a couple half & half pies: Kosmic Karma & Great White and a Buffalo Chicken & Funky Q Chicken. Not sure what's in the dough, but wow, it's delicious!!! Kids who don't like to eat crust will gobble it up. I love a good mushroom soup, and the Magic Mushroom Soup is a tasty good mushroom soup! PRO TIP... Parking can be rough on a busy night so drop off the family at the front door and park in the roundabout just outside the restaurant. They will get a table while you will find a place to park.

Sammy was amazing, It was my family's first time there and she explained in detail the menu and drinks The food was fantastic I'm been tell everyone about it , was even thinking of ordering it again today Thank you Sammy for the wonderful food and service , see you next Saturday

Walked into this location were seated with menus after some time. Literally were passed by 3 different servers without a word within a 10-15 minute period. Another couple walked in and were seated immediately, their behinds had barely touched their seats and their server was already bringing plates and silverware. Not sure if this is racially motivated or just poor service however I will never return to this location. Spoke to the manager and no one took accountability for how things went. I hope this isn't something racially motivated but it certainly felt that way, something to think about when considering where you get your pizza.

I took my family to eat here because I had a pleasant experience last time I went, which was about 10 years ago. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and the hostess took my name. I told her we preferred a booth (I have many reasons why we prefer booths, one of which is I have an anxiety disorder and find it difficult to eat when strangers can watch me). She said "no problem". When we sat down to wait, there were 3 booths open, nobody sitting in them. A few other parties came in after us, 2 of which were immediately seated (one of those just sidestepped the hostess & seated themselves) and one which were seated in the waiting area with us to wait. When the hostess said we could be seated, she said "sorry but there are no booths available" even though there were 2 open & empty, so we were seated at a table in an open area next to the bar. (There were no signs at the booths saying "reserved" or "private", either.) Immediately after we were seated, the OTHER party that came in after we did were seated in one of the open booths. The server tried to say they had a reservation, but I don't believe that, because if they actually had a reservation, why did they have to wait in the waiting area? I think they were friends of the hostess or somebody, and so they got preferential treatment. Neither I nor my family will ever bother trying this place again, and I am going to notify people on my social media to avoid this place as well. It's a shame because if we were treated well, we could've spent a lot of money in there as well as brought in more business. Oh well.

We poke our heads in (accidentally going through the exit door. the front door is well camouflaged) and just found a wonderful very chilled out bar. Haven't been to a speakeasy in a long time. It was dark lighting with ambient black lights and string lights to keep it dim but you wont struggle to see through. Music was not super loud and the chairs were incredibly comfortable and the whole place was laid out to just have drinks and lounge while talking with friends. No food, which is fine. You have plenty of options on the same block for that. This place is just for drinks and conversation. The seasonal menu was awesome. It iss a bar so they of course can make anything you request if you don't want a specialty cocktail. I got my favorite, a moscow mule but they had a brazilian mule on the specialty menu. I never had that before and ordered it on the spot. It was grapefruit vodka with lime, lots of fine pellett nugget ice (the really good kind) with ginger beer and condensed milk. My god it was great, they told me how they made it because i never saw milk added to this before. It was a delicious limeade that almost was slushy like, creamy and with tangy vodka. Plus they actually served it in a proper copper mug. Best mixed drink ive had period and a cool twist on my favorite standard moscow mule. The place is now going to become a frequent haunt for us. Its very laid back, relaxed, with fantastic ambiance. It doesn't get jammed packed and is not meant to get wild in. We went there around 7pm on a friday night with about 8 or so others already there with their drinks. It did pick up later with 15-20 people in there but still spacious and comfortable. It genuinely was just a nice bar to have drinks and conversations with friends. Nice music that isn't too loud so you can talk with normal voice levels. The bartenders we had were super nice and charismatic. The drinks were not expensive, a respectable 13 bucks for my mule. If you have a bill over 40 dollars they automatically add 20% gratuity to it so keep that in mind when you are tipping. And after 8pm everything had 20% gratuity added to the bill. But the service is so damn good that you will probably still want to tip on top of that anyways. I loved it so much i actually made a yelp account just to post a review. TLDR super cool speakeasy type joint, cool aesthetics and laundry theme. Not loud, good for drinks and chit chat, cool well crafted specialty cocktails that don't break the bank. Good bartenders. Good times. Cozy seats that encourage you to hang out and talk even with folks you haven't met before and dim without being dark lighting. Clean bathroom too and quick charismatic service. Hit this place up for sure even just for the novelty of it. It was a wonderful surprise bar for a date night. Pro tip for this area in general. all paid parking, some place validates some do not, i am unsure if they do here but there is paid parking right out front and also a paid lot literally across the street. But i don't even bother. About a block and a half away northeast is a big shopping complex with a target. i just park there for free and walk. its a short nice walk and doesn't cost 20 bucks.

Highlights: Super fun speakeasy-style entrance Small interior, but the seating is arranged really well for different group sizes and feels surprisingly comfortable I don't recall them offering food during my visit, but the bartenders were friendly and were able to make a great mocktail Surrounded by different eateries, so it's easy to grab food nearby before or after drinks Easy parking, which is always a plus (street or parking garage nearby)

The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.

For most others, there's plenty of accessible parking and it's kinda tucked away in it's own lot. The burger offered was the "Our Taphouse" - a dry ranch seasoned beef patty with shredded cheese and topped with carmelized onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and bacon jam. The burger was definitely good. It's messy since there are some more toppings prone to falling out. I will say that in terms of taste, it was a bit too sweet for my preference. I think it was the combination of carmelized onions and bacon jam that made it too much for me that it overwhelmed the savoriness that I'd prefer to be the main flavor with the burger. This time I didn't dine in personally but I will say that the place looks like it has a nice vibe to it, especially outside. It looks like there's plenty of seating with an area for musicians to perform. I'm looking forward to coming back one day and maybe watching a game and getting a drink.

We ordered nachos as an appetizer to split, along with two beers and a kids meal. What arrived was Motley Crue waking from a drug binge, raiding the pantry and trash, then declaring "let's do it." What was supposed to be nachos was anything but. The only explanation is someone who had never seen nachos tried to recreate them after hearing a rumor from someone at a Lowe's parking lot. The "chips" were not tortilla chips. They were rectangular strips of pale, flimsy material that looked like scraps of drywall film pulled out of a new construction site. An albino drywall experiment that somehow escaped the kitchen and landed on a plate. The entire thing was covered in barbecue sauce, with some mystery white liquid poured over the top. We assume it was supposed to be queso, but it definitely was not queso. Calling it queso feels disrespectful to actual queso. We ate maybe a quarter of it and decided we needed to leave before things got worse. Six hours later, we received an unannounced encore performance in the bathroom.
