Wear a mask; sign a release at the entrance (even the pens and clipboards are sanitized between customers); get your temperature checked before coming inside; tell your aesthetician what color polish you want, and they'll retrieve it for you, so only they touch it; physical protective barriers at every manicure and pedicure station; every station gets sanitized from top to bottom between customers; all tools are sanitized then packed into individual kits; nobody is allowed to sit around and wait; limited number of customers at any given time, to maintain physical distancing. Excellent. Called for an appt. Wait was less than 5 minutes. My husband & I had manicure & pedicures. We were both very pleased!

I am so sad to do this but I feel like I must. The staff are so sweet, everyone's got that right. It made the experience-albeit long and painful- a tad bit better just because everyone was so welcoming. To start off, I didn't have an appt. I was a walk-in. I asked if they had time to do a gel mani/pedi and they said they did. But then I was placed in a massage chair and waited for an hour before they got started on me. The manicurist then scratched up my cuticles pretty badly that it started bleeding. I had to correct her a couple times on the shape of my nails because they were crooked. Then when it came down to the color, I had chosen an orangey red originally. She told me that that particular gel brand wasn't that great so I chose a red that looked like the other one, but it turned out to be a more blue toned red. I walked out of there and the sun was setting. I was there for 3.5 hours which is preposterous. I have gotten acrylics that took less time than that. Needless to say, I won't be coming here again. Oh, and one week later, my gel has completely split off. read more

I haven't been to this salon in a long time because I was living in San Gabriel. I was looking for a safe Covid-19 safe in door salon. This salon was safe and extremely clean. I got my temperature checked before entering then sanitizer on my hands and on my property as BB I enter with(wallet and keys). Then inside very clean and sanitize. The chairs were very clean and so was service. I came home with the most wonderful nail job and very relaxed. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis and I got the most wonderful foot and leg message with no extra cost. This facility aims to please. You can sit inside (you must call to be sure a inside spot. I was not a fan of this place and i feel so bad saying that because the staff was very nice but the quality of my manicure and gel polish was really not up to par. My manicurist also cut me in four different areas around my cuticle which was extremely painful the next day. Worst of all my gel manicure only lasted about 4 days before chipping and before that there was cracking in the polish! I won't be coming back as it was such a waste of money. read more

Although I am on the young side, I have been going to Melody Nails since I was a child and they have always treated me so kindly and with respect. I requested a more detailed design, and Pauline did the best job I have EVER seen on my nails. More recently I have been trying out different nail salons to see how each of them do I comparison to each other - but out of the many different places I have gone, Melody Nails stays supreme. They are all the same length and extremely light and at sturdy. The design is EXACTLY what I wanted it to be. Just absolutely amazing. And for a student who has to stay on a tight budget, the price point is very reasonable and affordable. Found my new go to salon! All the girls here were so sweet, and they were so much fun! I am so picky with my nail shape and color, especially while I prepare for my engagement party!! I honestly cannot be more happy I've found this place. The filing is SPOT on to my desired shape. And the color.. omg!! I got my nails done here and I choose to do a gel manicure, a couple days later my nails were chipping so I went back to see if they could fix them and the whole time they were talking nasty about me in their language. Wow! I just left Melody Nails feeling amazing. Pauline gave me an amazing!!!!!!facial. The facial is only $60, it lasts over an hour. It includes extractions, scrubs, masks, and the most amazing, the massage!!! She does a foot and leg massage, neck, shoulder, hand , and head massage. I felt so relaxed and my skin looked amazing. If you go on Tuesday or Wednesday for this combo facial you'll get it for $50 instead of $60, as a courtesy special. While I was there I had the gel polish done with a new gel process.
