Like most here I suspect I really don't like leaving bad reviews but in this case I must because the service was so lackluster. I called a few hours ahead and asked for a manicure appt., scheduled for noon that day. Never in my life have I had such a rushed and impersonal job. If it took 15 minutes I'd be surprised. Granted I wasn't getting acrylic or gel but I get regular manicures and I expect a level of service I did not get at Windy's. Sadly Windy's used to be my regular place for mani/pedis but after this experience I won't return. read more

My husband dropped me off here randomly while the kids went with him to the park. I had some Mama time. I called before I came to make sure that there was room for my pedicure. The mail tech got ready right away. I picked out a natural polish and I was told it would be an additional $5. Ok ?,I thought. However, the Essie Gel / OPI extreme gel was the only polish posted as the extra $5. I was cool about it though. The pedicure experience was pleasant and the ship was clean. . They had polished my up real quick and was almost done in like 20 minutes. I could've used a callous treatment and it was never offered and I saw a woman sitting a few chairs down from me receiving one. I have to admit, I didn't like that. Made me wonder what the rush was about. All in all, the basic pedicure was $27 which is kinda pricey for a no frills pedicure. read more

This nail spot is pretty nice but the acrylic set I got was not their best work. All I can say is that make sure you show them a picture of what shape you want because the nail tech who did my set didn't know what "stilettos" were at first and cut the tips of my set to a coffin shape and I had to correct her. She had said "you wanted square right?" And I said "no, stilettos. The pointy ones." And she then asked me for a picture and said "ooooooh okay." So long story short, she had to apply the acrylic on and then shape the nail Bc she had cut the shape wrong and couldn't shape it before. She had tried to shape it with just the tip but the tip fell off as it was too much pressure on my nail and the tip to go from coffin to stiletto. So she literally filed the hell out of my nails with the acrylic on, that it burned my skin on a few nails and left all my fingers really sore. None the less my set looked decent except for my thumbs and my middle finger because they were filed down so much they had become so crooked and uneven that I had to ask for her to apply some extra acrylic to make it even again. I am writing this review 1 week and 3 days (8/17/18 -8/18/18 4:28am, time provided so the time line of my nails breaking makes sense) after I got my nails done. And let me say, I already have 3 broken nails!!! My left thumb broke on Saturday(8/11/18), my right thumb broke yesterday (Thursday 8/16/18) and my right index broke today (Friday 8/17/18) and the thing is I wasn't even doing anything that would put pressure on my nails when the tips cracked!!! My left thumb broke off and I didn't even notice, that's how painless and like easily it came off and I was out with my friends! My right thumb, it cracked off as I was grabbing my blanket on my bed, and my right index cracked off as I was itching my arm. I really don't understand how 3 nails had cracked in under 1.5 weeks! Like don't get me wrong their work is nice, and I provide a picture of my set right after I got them done. And here's 3 more pictures of my 2 thumbs and my index finger literally right after it cracked tonight. I had paid $46 for this set, and I don't think I got my money's worth for it be cracking and breaking this early on. read more

My nails were in the worse shape ever. They were chipping ,thin and just awful. I had gotten acrylic nails for many years and that was damaging my nails even more. But Cindy recommended the dipping gel and in three weeks I had nails again!! I couldn't be happier that I now have healthy long nails of my own! She is the best!! This place gets two stars ONLY because it's clean. I've been here many times and let me start by saying as a new customer they are so nice to you and they seat you right away, and they do great work! after the 3rd time or so... that's it! With an appointment they will still sit a walk in right before your app or at the same time and work on both (leaving you to file the other and then come back to you). They will take their time on you only if you are the only customer (they only have 3 technicians). I've always said I'd give them another chance, but yesterday was it! First: I had to wait 15 minutes to be seated with an appointment and with only 2 other customers. Second: the entire time they were whispering to each other in their language. Now I'm not much for chit chatter but if I can't relax and I have to hear you talk for the 1 1/2 I'm there, at least include me or speak English or don't talk. I even tried talking to them but nope! Third: I had to tell them over and over to clean the skin around my toes (I'm never picky but this time I said maybe if I speak up I'll have a better experience), nope! Fourth: I was charged 10 extra for choosing a nail polish that lasts longer but they file your nail to the thread so you have no choice but to be back in 10 days. (I spent 63 on a pedicure and fill) Lastly: the owner is the one who did my nails this time and she's usually the best... but between all the things they were whispering (probably about me) and rushing to get rid of me, id say I could have done a better job myself. Darling small nail salon. I was able to walk in for an appointment however I noticed others stopped in and scheduled appointments. The women that work here are extremely nice. They are carrying a new line of nail polish that promises to last ten days - it is not gel. Apparently you don't have to soak off the polish unlike gel. I'm extremely hard on my hands so decided to try it even though it cost a bit more. So far so good. The color selection was good as well in regular nail polish and this new line of long lasting polishes. My feet felt baby soft after my pedicure. My husband will be happy! Ha! My intention was to only get a pedicure however they convinced me to get a manicure as well. I bite my nails and they looked awful. I was shocked at how nice they looked in the end!! I My favorite part was the hand, arm and shoulder massage with the manicure. Glad I did the full gamut! The salon was very pretty. I look forward to going back and trying some new colors. I've gone twice now. I love how clean the place is. Most other nail shops are ridiculously crowded and keep you waiting forever because they want to try to cash in as many people as possible. They don't have too many employees here so I would suggest always making an appointment. They will let you know straight out if they don't have time for you. I love the honesty. I can't tell you how many times I've been to other salons that tell you "15 minutes" and then you're still waiting an hour later. It was one of the older 100s that the bank gave me and Windy kept shaking her head at me as if I was trying to commit fraud. I happened to be in La Canada for the weekend and decided to get a pedicure with my friend. I called ahead of time and made an appointment. When I got to the salon the ladies were no where near friendly. I wanted to get the spa pedicure which was only $19(sounds like a good price) my friend wanted just the regular that was $14. So I got the spa chair, and my friend got to sit in a regular office chair with a tub to put her feet in. They started me off first putting the cuticle oil on my toes and all the nice stuff then used the pumice rock with some soap for my heels ringed it off gulped some lotion on my calves rubbed it a little and then painted my toes. ALL DONE! As she was painting my toes another lady started on my friend. I'm watching her get hers done and she got all the same things I did and even a better leg massage that even included a FOOT rub that I didn't get. I would think that that since I asked for the spa pedicure I would get a scrub, or a mask even. But NO! I got less then she did and I payed more. DO NOT COME HERE. Unless you're looking for something super simple and cheap. This is NOT the place for a spa pedicure!!!! read more

The nail tech, Nancy, who worked on me gave a great regular mani/pedi with cute flower designs. I will definitely be a repeat customer! It's clean, quiet, well-ventilated, and competitively priced.
