My friends and I came for a book club meeting (8 of us) and I am very happy I came early to snag a table. I got here at 4:05 right after opening and the bar area was already full a long with a couple tables! The service was great, food came out quick and was delicious, and we had a great time. As for drinks, I opted for the Strawberry Rosé Slushee; it's refreshing and the perfect choice for brunch or happy hour. It tastes modestly sweet so I would caution downing more than a couple of these at the risk of a hangover. The Purple Haze (mainly ube foam on blanco tequila) is unfortunately nothing short of a flop. To be fair, I'm negatively biased toward anything tequila in the first place, but this drink tastes like straight tequila. The pork belly tacos came out COLD. We let the server know and was able to switch it out for the steak option. Every food item was incredibly bland and lackluster. Side note: when my friend grabbed her cocktail with her ticket, he asked if she wanted beer or wine. Luckily, she is assertive and asked for a cocktail. When I went to order my drink (with the ticket), he asked what drink I wanted so I got the same thing as my friend, but in a completely different size. HUH? Overall, I would not come back again for this event. The original menu looked promising, but again, we didn't get to try that. Cocktails were advertised but not given as an option unless otherwise specified, food was overly bland and cold, and pizza was advertised as an option but were nowhere to be found.

We started with the blistered shishitos, which were solid. They use larger shishito peppers than what I've typically seen at other restaurants, and they were nicely prepared. Next was the seasonal stone fruit salad, which tasted great, but it arrived without the burrata. When we asked about it, our waitress checked with the kitchen and came back to let us know they had run out of burrata and provided a substitution of a different cheese. I appreciated her honesty and effort, but I wish the kitchen had been upfront about the situation instead of serving the dish without mentioning it, hoping that I wouldn't notice and charge me full price for the salad. The lobster rolls were another letdown. They arrived without the chive aioli, and the rolls themselves were not that great. The butter was served on the side, which also felt a bit odd. The standout dish of the night was the Revival Burger. We ordered it medium-rare, but it came out closer to medium-well. Even so, it was still flavorful and probably the best thing we ordered. We also agreed to pay an extra $5 for the truffle fries, but regular fries arrived instead. By that point, I felt bad asking our waitress to make yet another trip back to the kitchen, so I just asked her to remove the truffle fry upcharge from the bill. The Midsummer Melon cocktail was generously sized, refreshing, and enjoyable, although we honestly wondered whether it contained much alcohol since neither of us felt much from it. To the restaurant's credit, our waitress handled every issue professionally and graciously. She apologized throughout the meal and ultimately removed the cost of one appetizer from our bill to make up for the repeated mistakes, which I appreciated. While the service at the table was great, the number of kitchen errors--from missing ingredients and incorrect substitutions to forgotten sauces, an overcooked burger, and the wrong fries--made the overall experience frustrating. Because of the lack of consistency and attention to detail from the kitchen, I don't think I'd return, despite the lovely atmosphere and excellent service from our waitress.
