It's a hospital cafeteria that can be a challenge to find. However, the food is actually pretty decent. There are usually a few specials at the grill. You fill out your order on a sheet of provided paper and they make it and call your name. The prices are reasonable, and a normal lunch should cost $6-7 here. They also have some fridges with pre-prepared salads and sandwiches. I got the double cheeseburger with fries. Quite good. You can self-serve condiments (tomatoes, pickles, lettuce).

The food here is over priced and lacking taste. The pastry they use for their pot pies and sweet pies is like eating card board. Don't get me started about their use of canned vegetables and what appears to be powdered potatoes, and if they are not, congratulations on recreating powdered potatoes while using real ones. I'm guessing there are a few nursing home residents who enjoy them. Finally for choosing their restaurant to spend your hard earned money in, they reward you with a 3% charge when you use a credit card, which restaurants have always absorbed as a courtesy to the customers who choose their restaurant to eat at. I've worked in the restaurant industry for over 50 years. When you start nickel and dimming your customers every time they eat at your restaurant, when you are already treating them to the cheapest food products, let's face it, are you actually still in business? Sorry, but we are done with this place!

The turkey and avocado wrap was okay 3/5 because it had barely any avocado but the fried chicken was pretty good. My daughter ordered the Mac and cheese with fries and no complaints there. This place is covered in tvs so it's perfect to watch all sports and have a drink. I'd definitely go back for drinks and try something different on the menu. 0/5 Take-out review:…read more Ordered for pick up at 4:25pm. Got in line more than 10mins early - and I literally saw my pickup order waiting on the side of the register area, of which they had ONE PERSON working the register on a holiday, causing the line to go out the door. Sweet . No way to just be like - hey, can I get my food? No - order ahead, and still wait in a line that is out the door because the Dodgers played an hour ago, and now the World Cup is on - ON FATHER'S DAY- and we don't want to pay more than one cashier during this craaaazy time. ‍‍‍ Received my food at 4:30pm (after being there at 4:15 and ALREADY SEEING IT SAT THERE), and I even told the person at the register "it feels cold," and she said "So sorry!" I believe her, because it's not her fault (it's management/ownership)- but she just looked at me so I left. Ordered a chili cheese burger: Asked for chili on the side so the bun wouldn't be extra gross and soggy during the 11 minute drive home. Got a regular double burger, with no cheese. Also, no chili on the side. Or on the burger. It was just a mediocre double hamburger.....yay? My fish, which admittedly I dipped into on the drive home...? Not cooked. It was literally so gross I spit it out. The outside wasn't flaky/crispy - it was cold, moist, and uncooked. Because it touched the "wedges", all of it was thrown out. We ordered pizza. Clearman's is officially, and forever going forward, a no-go. I'm sure it's meh for dine-in, because we've dined in before. But to-go? Absolutely no.

I really appreciated that and was excited to eat my meal. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by how I was treated by one of the staff members. I had ordered online ahead of time since I only have a short lunch break and planned to dine in. There were plenty of open tables, but I was told I couldn't sit because online orders weren't considered "dine-in" and that seating was reserved so staff could make tips. That explanation didn't make sense and honestly made me feel unwelcomed as a paying customer. I was really looking forward to my meal, and the interaction completely killed the vibe. If you plan on eating here, I would recommend ordering in person to avoid any confusion. I'd also suggest the café clarify this policy, because the inconsistency took away from what would have otherwise been a great experience.

We also have an Urban Plates in Long Beach, and I have to say they're very consistent with their restaurant layouts and overall experience. This Pasadena location was especially beautiful. I loved the décor throughout the restaurant. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and quick to serve us. We dined in, and our food came out surprisingly fast. I ordered a kids' steak plate, and I appreciated that the staff didn't question or refuse my order. I know some restaurants don't allow adults to order from the kids' menu, but it's the perfect portion size for me. The steak was cooked medium as I requested, very tender, and the potatoes were nicely seasoned. They don't offer steak sauce, but I asked for the chimichurri instead, and it worked out. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely return to this Urban Plates location.

I got the Tomato Basil Soup. I also paid +$1.00 for Chimichurri. The 1/2 sandwich looked pretty small but it was stuffed with very generous portions of steak! It was an incredible medium rare and it was grilled very nicely. It was slightly dry and wished it had a bit more flavor but not a big deal! The Chimichurri was a bit disappointing. It seemed more like olive oil with bits of parsley than a sauce made with olive oil and blended herbs and parsley. The tomato basil soup was good. It seemed more like tomato sauce than a soup since the consistency was very thick. I liked that they used fresh tomatoes and it was packed with flavor. Also, really enjoyed the complimentary toast and croutons! Overall, I thought it was a good deal with the promo but a bit overpriced if I were to pay full price. I enjoyed the steak but thought the Chimichurri and tomato basil soup was just ok.

We usually get it from the Pasadena location though. - aqua fresca and vitacane juice bars are also very refreshing! - Filipino owned bake shop is also delicious, usually buy to take home as a sweet treat later. - Beignets: cooked hot to order...oh the powdery goodness!! - Georgies Mediterranean: Fastest service as I have never been to a fast Mediterranean spot. When i got the chicken shawarma i was skeptical from the looks of it. Didn't too too appetizing but when i took a bite, oh the flavors were there. Different regions have their own twist. This had loads of flavors and spice and more curry to it. If you like curry, you will enjoy this. Seats: Place is huge and plenty of spaces. Outdoor is relaxing where the kids can roam Cost/Variety: A bit more costly then a typical restaurant but most food halls do cost more. However, compared to other food halls i had been to, this is a bit on lower end of cost then a few others plus do have more options on food choices which i like. Ambience: Generally good but compared to others I have been to, i would like a small kid play area. Like arcade games or even bag toss, a climbing mall gym like corner or giant connect four etc. that would make it complete.
