Really good diner. They're not open late, only until 8pm but we went for brunch around noon on Sunday. It was slightly busy so we waited about 20 minutes. The hostess was not friendly at all and borderline rude when I asked for a menu to take a look. Our waitress though was very friendly and accommodating. We sat at a booth by the door and were able to watch the food being cooked with their open kitchen concept. I always enjoy that. I had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with a side Caesar salad and my husband had a breakfast bowl. Both really solid choices. The prices were fair and the place was really clean. I'd definitely go back!

Yesterday i went in and got the carrot cake griddle! it was absolutely amazing, the taste and the freshness of the butter, soft! i loved my server and the food! I had Nancy! she was absolutely wonderful and welcoming! it felt genuine and the environment was absolutely perfect, everyone there was so kind.

The service from our waiter was magnificent. He really was so personable, professional and mensch-y. My friend got the avocado bowl , it was colorful, flavorful and plentiful . I enjoyed my eggy bacon croissant. They were very sweet to replace fried potato to fresh fruit! Healthy We split a avocado toast. Everything was very yummy... and awesome.

Work lunch from this diner earlier this week and everyone thought the food was okay. Wasn't the best food ever, but good portions, great prices and got the job done. Nothing to rave about. After reading the reviews, I do wish I ordered breakfast for lunch though! I decided to do the half sandwich and half soup option. Veggie soup was not bad at all, but the turkey/cheese sandwich could've used a little more TLC.

Stopped by Metro Diner after church on a Sunday. It was almost noon and the place was bustling with business. All staff appeared to be present and attentive. I was with a party of 4 and we were told it would be a 15 min wait. We ended up being seated after 5 mins of waiting. The server was kind, mentioned the items of the day and gave us adequate time to order. I went with the croissant french toast , scrambled eggs with american cheese and turkey sausage links. The food came out hot and looked presentable. The croissant french toast sounds better than it tastes. It wasn't horrible I just think I was expecting a different flavor profile. I feel I've had better breakfast food before but it was good for what it was worth. The place was clean, I can't remember if they had music on and the seating was spacious enough for the layout of the restaurant. Parking is adequate.

How do I know when you have the Monte Cristo sandwich available? It was my favorite. I was told by a server that you have it from time to time. Is there a mailing list that goes out to customers for that week's specials? That would be great.

There is a Metro Diner E CLUB newsletter (online.) That's the best way to know。The link is https://metrodiner.com/newsletter-signup/

Five Four Bar & Grill has a large U shaped bar, stage for live bands, pool tables, booth seating,…read moretable seating and an area to have a catered event in a private room. They can hold 20-500 people for private events according to their website. The inside is dark and could use a bit of a refresh, but I wouldn't say it's close to the level of dive. It's certainly on the larger side compared to most bars in the area. The staff has always been nice, but service can get slow when the crowd size grows. Just the nature of things. Food wise the menu has a typical mix of pub grub - apps, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers and several entrees. A friend was eating their jumbo Buffalo Shrimp off the starter menu and raved about them. I stuck to a Cheesesteak which was average but a deal at $9.50 -- the chopped steak was decent, cheese was good just needed a bit more. Hot peppers gave it some kick and the long roll was fresh. Their beer menu has around a dozen beers on tap. They dabble in more mainstream big beer/craft beer like your Goose Island IPA's/Lagunitas IPA, but do have a decent show of locals like Yards, Victory, Troegs and Weyerbacher. Bourbon wise I had a Knob Creek neat which was average price wise. The pour was on the generous side. Each time I've been here the crowds have been friendly and having a good time. The band we listened to was great and the sound was crisp. Five Four is a family friendly grill during the day and a fun place for adults later at night. Thanks guys!

A couple weeks ago she had the nerve to comment on my face in front of the entire table. She claimed that I "always give her dirty looks" and "always look so angry when I'm here". I was stunned and so embarrassed. For one, I don't know her personally, we have never had a conversation outside of her taking my order and quite frankly it's none of her business how my face looks anyway. Second of all how embarrassing is it to be called out in front of a bunch of people like that? I couldn't believe the words that came out of her mouth. Before I left I politely told her I didn't appreciate her calling me out like that and she got very defensive. Not an apology from her, she didn't care one bit. She started arguing with me and acting like I was overreacting and like she didn't do anything wrong. She should take a look at herself in the mirror and think twice before she speaks. I'll never step foot into this bar again.

Talked to one of the bartenders, said they didn't have a draft list, and no "gluten-free options besides Tito's that I know of" and that was a red flag for me. BIGGER RED FLAG: they have the bar split in half with a wall and doors to section it into smoking and non-smoking areas... and a third for takeout beer.
