Arrived about 7:30 am for breakfast I requested a booth and even though I could see empty booths I was told only a half booth was available. Hostess then told me specials were on the blackboard which I had to walk across the diner to see/read. After 15 minutes of waiting for someone to come and offer us coffee and take our order (there were several servers standing around and talking) we left...never to return. They'd better learn they have too much competition in this area and get their act together or they'll close more quickly than they opened read more

My wife and I dined at the Langhorne location regularly since June at least once a week. The location seems clean the staff has been very nice and food is presentable and good. I would appreciate if the management would regularly check staff for compliance with masking of the servers. I know wearing masks is a pain but until I feel safer as your customer it is important to see your staff in compliance. We have not dined inside as a couple in your restaurant since COVID-19 has changed everything and we have enjoyed your porch and I would feel safer with your staff properly wearing their protection. My wife and I have enjoyed our small return to normality with each visit and I obviously have not felt a need to comment about your staff's compliance until now and I hope this was an isolated incident because we do enjoy our visits. read more

Metro Diner - Diners Near Me - Langhorne, Pennsylvania

Well first time customer who won't be returning. Ordered through an app, didn't get half my order, called Metro and they blamed it on the delivery driver. It's your restaurant, it's your responsibility that the drivers get the right bags. Now I have to call the other app to get my refund because it's no one's problem but my own I didn't get what I paid for? Edit - they sent 2 wrong meals out of 3 all with the right name for the order written on each to go container but not the right food we ordered. Maybe there were two orders with the same name but this reads disorganization from the restaurant and staff there. Still lost $12 on my purchase because we didn't eat/want what they sent us and other app wouldn't refund us our full purchase total for some reason. Like I said, no need to try again. read more

I visited Metro for the 1st time on Saturday 7/31/2021, the diner does not do reservations. However you can call ahead if you have a large party as we did. We called ahead but once we got to the diner they did not have our name on the waitlist. At 1st a guy told us there was nothing they could do maybe we had called the other Metro Diner in Bensalem, Pa and told us the wait was about 35-40 min wait. I thought that was unacceptable since we did call ahead. I believe the manager came over and told us they will accommodate us and it was right away with no wait!! I thought that was great customer service. As we got settled in at our table the manager then came over more than once to check on us and make sure we were good. Our server, Danielle aka Danny as we called her was outstanding. She took our order without mistake and was very pleasant! The food was great as was the service! Was eXcited to try metro diner but left disillusioned. Went to dinner with my wife at 5pm on Thursday December 5. There wasn't anything that stood out where I would say wow, that is a great place. Here are the things that stood out that I did not like. 1. The small horseshoe driveway that encircles the rest. Very hard to maneuver with large Toyota Tundra 2. Wait time for a waitron, plenty available but no one came to the table 3. Very dark and cannot read menu, menu print too small. 4. Acoustically the restaurant was too loud. 5. Ordered meatloaf, mashed and veggies. Came out tepid, not piping. 6. Had to ask another waitress to find our waitress so we could get the check and pay. 7. When waitress came with the check she handed me a iPad style tablet to pay the bill. Why do I want to touch a tablet that is covered with germs from other customers touching the same tablet. Just disgusting. 8. The waitress waited while I completed the payment process. No privacy to consider how much tip should be left. I consider that a private moment and don't appreciate a hovering waitress. 9. On way out no one asked how our meal was or our visit. This place makes Panera Bread look like diamonds of Hamilton. So I wanted to like it. Service was good, menu has great potential but the food was too freakin salty. All 3 of us agreed our meals were too salty. It was a busy time of day and there was a 15 minute wait. The use of text messaging instead of pagers is an interesting choice. I hope to not get spammed in the future. The kitchen still seems to be trying to figure things out. My wife had the corn beef and poached eggs , the hash was luke warm but the eggs were poached nicely. I had the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were still doughy inside, I ate around the edges. The scrambled eggs had cool spots and the hash browns lacked flavor. I was asked about the food and the manager apologized and did not charge us for the meal. She was very nice and said she would work with the kitchen to correct things. Our waitress was great. We have been here a number of times and generally the meals are very good if staying with traditional items like eggs, bacon, pancakes, French toast, hash browns etc. My only complaint .... which is a pretty big one ..... is the huevos rancheros was pretty sad .... the meal was more like crispy nachos covered with eggs than a real huevos rancheros dish. I love real huevos rancheros but this dish was not that. Please change the name of it on the menu since it isn't really huevos rancheros but more like crispy nachos with some eggs sprinkled on top. Please learn what real huevos rancheros is like because the dish I ordered was nothing like what I expected. As one who has waited tables at numerous Mexican food restaurants I know what Huevos rancheros should be, and this dish was about as close to a huevos rancheros as a Big Mac is to a Philly Cheesesteak.... Tried this new place in Langhorne for desert. Very dark inside super loud music. Is this a diner.? Apple cobbler was ok but discovered a big hair after eating half it. There went the romance. They did comp the horrible treat and gave us a gift certificate for next time. On on our return trip , still dark and noisy. Had to use cell phone lights to see menus and our food. They said they couldn't lower the noise or raise the lights. Really??? Then everything went downhill from there Raw chunks in the mashed potatoes. Horrible time. Run away fast read more

I love the food, it's my go to when I don't want to cook. I'm at this location about twice a week. My weekend routine for breakfast Saturday or Sunday morning it's "The Bissell Breakfast" or "Crab Cake Benedict". When I go I know that there usually be a wait, dont mind. The word about good food gets around. The service is great, but when I receive my food with 5 min the check is on the table! With "Oh no rush, I'll just leave this here for you. Really ! So any thing I order after is free? I usually tip well. But when this happens I usually tip $2.00 Think I'll stick to Bensalem location. read more

Great service, great staff, very clean. The food was a bit bland, coffee was standard, menu was big but not so big it looses quality as most restaurants do. High price compared to competitors in Lower Bucks also. My issue is this is just another new diner chain like Dennys or IHOP. It's definitely better then thoes to but it won't beat the actual classic diners in the area. This area is flooded with some of the best diners around. Very good selection on the menu. Generous portions and reasonable prices. You can order anything off the menu any time of day and they offer daily specials. We liked that the staff was friendly and welcoming. They all seemed to work well together. Shout outs to our server Ditania. She walked us thru the menu, didn't rush us, and was attentive. Just have to make sure the female hostesses stop socializing with each other and pay attention. Once forgot to tell our waitress that we had been seated because they were too busy talking. Tried ordering for curbside pickup. The online order process was pretty easy, selected our meals and salad choices for a 4:40 pickup. I clicked on the "i am here" button on the email when I arrived a few minutes early. I could see a few orders on the table inside the door, ready to go. I was the only car there when I first arrived. Around 4:50, I went back and clicked in the I am here link again. When no one came out, my husband went inside and they handed him our order, which was one of those on the table. Not sure why they would want to know if we were there, and description of my car if we had to go inside anyway. Needless to say, it was no longer hot. When we got home, realized the salads were not in our order either, and a trip back was not an option. We had the fish fry, which seemed undercooked, as the coating was pasty and tasted like flour, not good. The fries were cold. If you are expecting curbside delivery, expect to have to go inside. We ate inside last year and our meals were good then. Don't think I will try again. Trying to find a way to send a review or email directly to them is hard to find on their website. read more

I am beyond impressed with the experience that my wife and I encountered during our visit today. The food was excellent and the servers were very eager to please during our time there. An unfortunate event did transpire today by way of running out of a particular ingredient required for their special(unexpected popular item) did occur and the manager went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of during and after our stay. We've read poor reviews of Metro Diner in other locations but we are real diner people that sample diners for ourselves. The approach to this Langhorne location is a one-way loop counter clock wise that was blocked by their supply semi truck facing the wrong direction. Undaunted, I drove through the do not enter. We were seated fast even though they were very busy. The little two seat table put me in clear view of the specials board on the back wall. I ordered broccoli cheddar soup and a burger. The soup was the BEST! I love it when it is thick and not watered down. My spoon actually stood up by its self in this wonderful soup. This was a God send because the table collapsed from its pedestal base. We caught the table top and the wonderfully thick soup didn't spill a drop. Since this was a new opening location there were plenty of staff around that grabbed the table, made sure we were unharmed and transferred our things and us to the very next table. They wisked away the offending table, apologized several times and vowed to yell at the manufacturer. All this only took moments and then our food came out almost too fast as I wasn't finished with my soup. My burger was prepared to perfection, no pink meat and well done, no mayo but they did have an avoidable pickle on the side. The staff and managers made sure every continued moment was care free. I had ordered the onion ring upgrade instead of fries. The first onion ring was unfortunately inedible as it was cast from the brown onion peel that didn't allow you to bite through it. The breading fell away and I discovered the thick ring was really the brown peel that should never have been dipped and served. Then I put ketchup on the top and bottom of the burger bun. Eating this burger was quite a challenge as my mouth burned not from hot food but hot spices. My wife and I decided to do detecting and I put some ketchup on my plate away from anything else. I tasted the ketchup alone and it was very hot spiced. That's when I noticed a good (good?) portion of the hot sauce was gone from the sauce bottle at our table. Could this have been added to the ketchup by those who can tolerate this sort of assault on taste buds? An attentive manager replaced the bottle but I couldn't continue eating with this (bad) taste in my mouth. A manager gave us our check with NO CHARGE and asked profusely if there was anything else she could do. I asked if they had a coupon so we may attempt a better visit. She did have a coupon and gave one to us. I know our next visit will be much better than this wild assortment of unplanned events. read more

Sitting here thinking about how good the chicken is here!!! Went here for 2 weeks ago and everything was delicious the soup, red sauce, chicken and definitely the burgerrrr umm! And to top it off we had the BEST service from Cortney!! She kept our drinks filled and our food was nice an hot when it was served, greeted us with a smile! An all around 5 stars!! If we could give it 10 stars we would! Stopped in for Thanksgiving, best decision we could've made! Exceptional experience! Had the holiday turkey meal and at the very least amazing! Tyler, our server was awesome waited on us hand and foot during our entire visit. We arrived about 1 PM, not realizing that the restaurant was closing at 2 PM, we were in no way rushed and it was even emphasized to us to please take our time and enjoy the meal!? Many other local restaurants could learn a lot from the management and the staff here! Although for selfish reasons I shouldn't be leaving this SO deserved review as it will make it tougher to enjoy again soon as we expect the lines will be out the door before we know it!
