The place was lively and a band was on stage which was set up for half the restaurant. I can appreciate that set up so the whole restaurant is not in front of the band. It felt like a lot of locals which is great for them. Maybe this isn't a spot to consider if you don't have hours to hang out. Unfortunately, we weren't able to dine so can't comment on the food.

On our first visit, we were shown our booth and didn't have to wait although now that it has taken off, the wait time can be awhile depending on when you go, but believe me, it is very worth the wait! The atmosphere is geat! Cafe type, nicely decorated, staff is knowledgeable about all the menu, quick and eager to please but not intrusive! Very friendly! Our order was delivered quickly, food was hot and nicely presented! Beverages were kept full! Staff was great! During our meal, the manager stopped by to say hello! Introduced himself and let us know about the resturant as it was new in the area! Asked us if we had tried the Chipped Beef on Toast! We grew up eating that so knew we had to try it next time. He brought us a sample of it and it was fabulous! As good as my grandmothers and that is a great compliment! Second time we came in and had the Chipped Beef on Toast with Hashbrowns! It was fabulous! Really, really good! Gravy was marvelous, smooth with just the right amount of chipped beef! It was delcious! There is a great selection on the menu so that everyone will find something they like! From the moment I walked in, the customer service stood out -- warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. It set a positive tone for the meal. I ordered the Bissell Breakfast, which came with scrambled eggs, sausage, and grits. Everything on that plate was well-prepared and delicious. The eggs were fluffy, the sausage was flavorful, and the grits had just the right texture -- creamy and comforting. However, the pancakes were a letdown. They lacked flavor and moisture, tasting as though they were made with just water and mix, without any added richness or depth. They didn't quite match the quality of the rest of the meal, which was disappointing. Despite that, I'd still consider it a nice experience overall. My sister had mentioned shrimp the other day so rather than driving out to the beach for it we decided to go to Metro for the shrimp and grits. We both love Metro Diner's shrimp and grits and this visit did not disappoint either. It was just as good as always. She had mentioned that she didn't think there was a much shrimp as there usually is but I had 10 pieces and in the long run she figured out that some of hers were hidden inside the delicious gravy. We were both so hungry that we could have finished the entire bowl but we took enough home for another complete meal. They put so much delicious gravy, shrimp and andouille sausage in the bowl that there is plenty to go around. read more

We had dinner here last night, and my husband's chicken came out under cooked. Before we could even flag the waitress down, one of the cooks saw our reactions and started making a fresh batch of fried chicken. He then quickly made an awesome "off the menu" appetizer for my husband while he waited for his meal. They ended up removing the meal from the bill, and gave us gift cards to use for our next time at Metro Diner. They went above and beyond to turn a bad situation into a great experience for us!! We visited here in May of 2017. We were actually looking for Georgie's Diner but this looked good so we tried it. Very nice modern place and the staff is pleasant. I just had a standard egg, toast and home fries breakfast. Can't say it was fabulous but it was very good. Not sure why people rave about chicken and waffles. I never heard of that and it sounds weird to me who grew up in Southern New England. But overall, a nice clean American food restaurant. You might not know this but you can substitute the bone in chicken for tenders on their chicken and waffles plate. If there's anything that could cure my depression it would be that. There's a reason why this place seems to always be busy. There menu, service and turnaround time is awesome! Our first door dash. Ordered Chicken and Waffles as well as Chicken tenders and waffles. Although not at the restaurant, no disappointment at all. With the promo code, it was cheaper to order it for delivery than being there. Still, this is the best place for chicken and waffles. The Middleburg location is doing FREE BINGO (with purchase of a Meal) on Thursday evenings. The…read moregame starts at 6:00 pm. Prizes are MVP Coupons, Travel Cups, Huddle House Merchandise and Huddle House Coffee. Currently, they issue you a Bingo Card and small round plastic disks to mark the numbers when called. Beforehand, I went to Walmart and bought a package of 5 Clear Dry Erase Pockets and another package of Expo Dry Erase Markers. I put their card inside one of the pockets and marked the numbers with the dry erase marker. Easy to read and verify a Bingo. When each game was done, I erased the marks with a napkin. Ready to play again. This accomplishes the same purpose of marking numbers but eliminated the cumbersome and error prone plastic markers. Their game format is to play 4 separate games of Straight Bingo using the same card. Things may change with time but for now, the price and food is definitely right! See you there!
