Overall 3.5 Stars Located next to a convenience gas station, the "hole in the wall" has become an Orlando favorite. Ambiance: 4 stars [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you walk in, you are immersed with the Hispanic vibe and it is really fun and relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A quick service when you can use a kiosk or cashier to order your food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decor has the regional Mexican colors, flags and music is perfecto.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Colorful metal chairs and tables makes it easy to clean and feels cool as you wait for your food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service: 3.5 stars The cashier was friendly and polite. Food: 3.5 - 4 Stars 1. Three tacos - chicken, Barbacoa, and chorizo - 4 stars Favorite protein was the chorizo. Seasoned and juicy. The chicken and Barbacoa were a little bit dry. 2. 5 tacos - 3.75 stars Meats were braised beef birria and chorizo. Served on corn tortillas with onions and cilantro. The corn tortillas were dry and thicker than normal. The tacos had one tortilla to hold the ingredients. Other places would use two tortillas as the base. Also, they would have been better if they were heated and a little bit moist. 3. Steak quesadilla - 4.5 - loaded with cheese and diced steak. It was hot and fresh. Cilantro and diced onions are served on the side. It will fill you up. 4. Steak Taco Bowl - 3.5 Very filling w rice as the base and the diced steak was good. However, it was missing frijoles (beans) which was kinda' weird but each regional area is different from each other. 5. Loaded nachos with carne asada (steak). The colorful Chips were crunchy and light. The steak was good however, the cheese was processed nacho cheese instead of freshly melted shredded cheese. The dish can get messy so make sure to have enough napkins. The best proteins were the braised beef (birria) and the chorizo. Both were flavorful and juicy. Price: pretty reasonable for the different menu items. We will come back to try other menu items.

Went to Mexas Tacos because it was the nearest non-chain restaurant to my hotel. It is attached to a gas station convenience store, which means it's either really good or really bad. Fortunately, it was really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's decorated like many other Mexican restaurants, with colorful sombreros and pinatas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The ordering kiosk was as non-functional as the air conditioning that night, so I placed my order with the cashier located below the displayed menu board. They also have a self serve salsa bar. I ordered the birria pizza, and it came fast. I picked it up from the counter less than 5 minutes after placing my order. It was huge, and absolutely stuffed with birria meat, cheese, cilantro, and onions. It came with a cup of consommé, and it was delicious for dipping. I would definitely return.

Very good place for tacos although a bit pricey. Maybe I am just out of touch, but tacos were cheap once, you're supposed to eat a bunch and not pay much, but everything is crazy nowadays. Burritos are also good. I enjoyed the sauce selection with great spicy sauce, this place is really good.

Place is amazing. Food service was fast and kind. I recommend it. I recommend chicharron prensado tacos!!!

Late night tacos at a gas station, love it. It was a long day after a visit to Magic Kingdom, so had to find some eats after the fireworks. Decided to stop by Mexas and got shrimp tacos, a steak quesadilla and an al pastor taco. I like that they have a salsa bar where you can get your own hot sauces ranging from mild to hot. The medium hits nice in terms of flavor and spice. The shrimp tacos were breaded and were ok. In my opinion, I think they would've been better grilled, but nonetheless it was huge and filling as it came with three tacos. The al pastor taco would be what I would get again as the flavor was really tasty and authentic. Right next to a mart where they sell alcohol. Got everything you need here especially with a tired little one in the car. Food was done in 15 mins and we hit the road!

I ordered DoorDash last night and they forgot half of my toppings I asked for Lettuce tomatoes pineapple cheese and sour cream extra limes and cilantro I only got the cheese and sour cream .

Order food at counter and they will call your name for pick up. Single tacos are $3.15 ea at time of this review. Glad to have this option bc I did not need the beans or rice or other sides. I had 2 tacos. Beef and chicken. I liked beef better. Not the ground beef but barbacoa. I was full and it was delicious. They also had 4 sauces for the tacos at the "sauce bar". Favorite was the green one. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Oh and it's at a gas station. Next to Market[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

Some of the tastiest Mexican food I have tried. Loved the variety of meats they offer in this small, yet cozy establishment. Open til late. Super friendly staff. A nice little variety of sauces to top off your food with. I especially enjoyed their Tamal. Found their Quesadilla (stuffed with barbacoa) a bit too salty for my taste. I was on a quick business trip that had me in Orlando for about 5 hours. When I landed, I was hungry and craving some Mexican food. Yelp to the rescue. I went to Mexas Tacos. When I arrived, the small place had a steady amount of customers. Many of them were police officers. This made me hopeful since local law enforcement goes to the places that either a) have great food, b) great value, or c) both. I ordered a bowl and a taco. When I took my first bite, I got the answer to my analysis above. It was option c - the food was great and good value. Both dishes were hot as flavorful. At first I liked the taco more, but then I liked the bowl more - then I realized I liked whatever the current bite was more. This place is a gem. It's connected to a gas station so there isn't a ton of parking - that means get there early. I highly recommend this place!

We were in the area looking for tacos and we stumbled across this hidden gem. Service was good. When you walk in you can order via a person at the counter or via a self service pad. The staff were friendly and the location was clean, the place had a family atmosphere. We ordered chips with salsa and queso. The chips were fresh and both dips were seasoned well and tasted great. I ordered 5 tacos (3 carne asada, 1 chicken and 1 carnitas) all tacos came with fresh cilantro, raw onions and a lime wedge. Carne Asada and Chicken were delicious and my favorite. The carnitas taco was ok it was not my favorite. My husband ordered 5 tacos all chicken and he added tomatoes and guacamole. He said they were delicious. I will definitely come back, if you're in the area check them out you won't be disappointed.

4.5 stars Used Uber Eats for delivery. Portions were plentiful, food was flavorful and the most authentic we've had in Orlando so far. I had the "asada taco salad" (steak) and my husband had the shrimp taco's (served on soft shell). Guac and chips were fresh-guac has a nice bite of spice to it. Churro's came w/a lightly sweetened caramel sauce and were still crunchy after sitting for a while. Cons: found several "gristle" pieces in my taco salad. Tomato on guac was sad and old/mushy. My experience was on Cinco de Mayo, even though they were clearly overwhelmed by orders the staff was incredibly nice and attentive. The carnitas taco was incredible, I will get more than one next time. The chicken verde tamal was good but could have used some more chicken, but the selection of hot sauces helped to make it more interesting. The steak quesadilla was a generously sized and very cheesy. Overall it's a great, authentic taco spot. read more

We stopped here for a quick bite and it was fabulous. Everything we ordered was delicious. I had the Burria tacos with cheese and chips & salsa. They also have a salsa/sauce bar with yummy sauces. We had steak tacos, rice, beans, tostadas, sopes and rice pudding. It was all fantastic and we will definitely go back. Food made with love and lots of flavor. It is a smaller place so beware if you are with a big group. Service was fast and the food was hot. read more

My wife and I were on the hunt for somewhere to have a late night snack, my wife saw this place on our maps app and saw the reviews so we decided to go and try it out. At first my wife and I were a little concerned that it was next to a gas station and contemplated even going, but we said " let's walk in and see what the ambience is like" The lady that took our order was so polite and welcoming. We decided to get five tacos, Two carne asada, 3 barbacoa, chips and guac. Let me start with the tacos, the tacos were super juicy very very well seasoned, the carne asada was juicy, when I would eat carne asada in other authentic taco places they were very dry. These are amazing, the barbacoa was sooooo good, juicy as well and very very flavorful. The guac was visibly home made, there were small chunks of hasvacado in it, the seasoning was on pint, very fresh. After me and my wife had finished eating, We decided to skip the line just to tell the lady at the counter that the food was absolutely delicious. We even looked at the people in line and told them that they are in for an amazing food experience. Some of the people admitted that this is the first time they visit this location. I hate to be the one to leave a bad review but I found it barely edible. The salsa was really good. The meat I found full of cartilage and the tortilla felt like it was from Taco Bell not what I consider authentic. The cheese wasn't fully melted in my quesadilla. My wife got fried shrimp tacos which she liked. I tried her left over taco and it made me a little nauseous because it felt like it had to be cooked more. That's just my opinion and I admit I'm picky about my Mexican food. I'm still on the hunt for great Mexican food in a gas station I know it exists someplace read more

We came here based on the reviews and were kind of disappointed. We ordered the 5 tacos, one of each so that we could try them all. The chicken and steak tacos were dry and not very flavorful. The pastor and carnitas were our favorites but still nothing amazing. The chips and guacamole were disappointing. They are definitely store bought chips, which isn't a deal breaker but also doesn't help put them over the top. The guacamole was a little bland. My son's chicken tender kid's meal was definitely over priced but that's what he wanted. I'm guessing they are frozen chicken tenders and store bought fries. $9 seemed a bit much for what he got. They had 3 salsas to choose from at the time, one green and two red. One was smoky and not my thing. The other two were fine. Maybe we are just spoiled living in Texas with really good Mexican. read more

We were a little concerned when we pulled up, but pleasantly surprised once we got inside. It's attached to a gas station, but don't let that scare you off! The staff was super friendly, the food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the 5 tacos, all different meats, all were fantastic. I also ordered an original margarita and it was possibly one of the best I've ever had. My husband ordered the taco bowl, which he loved. The staff was so friendly and attentive. We are only here for a short trip, but will definitely be back before we leave! We dropped a pin, we didn't want to risk it! read more

Mexas Tacos listed their hours as closing at midnight on Yelp so we drove out of our way to pick something up. To our dismay, they waved us off and told us they were closed at 11 even though their "Open" sign was flashing brightly at the door with hours listed as closing at midnight next to it too. read more

Surprisingly this little gas station taco store is petty dang goood!!! All the tacos just come with meat and you garnish it yourself! Which I totally prefer! You can even get drinks from the gas station and eat it there! For starters this place is clean! The meat choices are: Stewed chicken, Asada, 3 different types of pork! Liked them all! read more

We were staying nearby and saw a gas station with a taco place place. Not normally a location for great food, but we thought we would give it a try since we just checked into the hotel. Well what a surprise - everything was fantastic. From the tacos to the specials to the variety of salsas to the margaritas, everything was awesome. My favorite was the Shrimp Tacos. The staff was excellent and the owner (maybe manager?) was gracious, friendly and kept things moving! Don't judge the location, just go enjoy. read more

It's sad because this place has fairly decent food, but it's overpriced for being around so many other food options. As well as late at night there's always problems with the staff keeping the doors opened til close. Multiple times I've arrived like 30 minutes before their posted closing times on the signs and the doors are always locked it's actually insane how it seems to happen every night. Just change the hours if they aren't going to stay open late, especially so close to tourist locations where people want late night bites. Food comes out fast, but always seems to be a little messy inside near the salsa bar (I've never seen it clean) and a lot of the tables always look kind of unkept when I do get to come inside. I wish them the best but this location isn't getting the care it needs. read more

Came to this place based off of the reviews. Had extremely high hopes but sadly I was let down. I ordered the birria tacos and a horchata, I'm only giving this place any stars because of the horchata. The horchata is DELICIOUS! but the birria was lacking. My meat was super fatty. The consommé was so salty it over powered the other flavors and my cheese wasn't completely melted... I wanted to love this place so bad read more

Greasy tacos. All of them. I loved the barbacoa. The pollo, al pastor, and carne asada were gross. As a native Texican who has been thru Mexico as well as lived in socal for over 6 years I gotta say, dont expect good mexican food. All the grease had me up all night trying to digest this mess of what was supposed to be mexican food. My grandma is Mexican and I know 100% she would not approve. But youre in Florida! I was in Orlando for a work training and decided to try this place out. It was definitely worth it. The workers provide great service and it is next door to a shell gas station, so I was able to buy waters and snacks before ordering my lyft ride. I was definitely recommend if you're in the area. read more

Everyone working there was super nice. Unfortunately it took forever for us to get our food and they didn't make our full order and we had to wait even longer to get the rest of our food. The kitchen didn't seem to know what happened to the rest of our order it was super confusing but they were nice and made the missing items. The food was okay. I really enjoy coming here with my family. The food and agua frescas are always a hit. Their shrimp tacos are great. I've also tried their chicken taco salad and it was really good, not oily and packed with salad. Definitely worth a stop. I've never tried their desserts, but they have some nice options. If you are staying at Marriott Village, don't Doordash just walk across the street to the best tacos in Lake Beuna Vista! I had the opportunity to eat here on my last day before flying out. Very authentic and the restaurant is sparkling clean with attentive waitstaff. Don't let the outside of the building scare you - it's attached to a gas station (sketchy with $8 gas) but that's a diffrent story. I ordered five tacos (Carnitas, Pastor, and Chorizo) great taste and were pretty hefty. With Cilantro and onions and a help yourself salsa bar, this is a definite for a fast and tasty meal! After spending the morning in Animal Kingdom at Disney World, my family and I stopped by Mexas Tacos in Orlando Florida. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable, making it a really easy stop if you're staying around International Drive or heading back from the parks! There is plenty of parking available too. Their menu has all sorts of tacos, burritos, quesadillas and so much more! Some of their tacos include the following Shrimp Tacos Taco de Pollo Taco de Asada Taco de Carnitas Taco de Chicharron Taco de Lengua and so much more! I ended up getting both steak and chicken tacos, and both were delicious! The meat was flavorful, well seasoned, and tasted fresh, and the tacos had that simple quality where they don't need a ton of extras to be amazing! After walking around Animal Kingdom all day, it was a perfect lunch with a soda! I really appreciated was how quick the service was! We got our food fast, which was nice after a early morning at Animal Kingdom where you just want to sit down and eat for awhile! The restaurant itself was also pretty quiet when we visited, so it felt relaxed and easygoing. Mexas Tacos was a great place to stop buy after visiting Disney World for lunch.
