This was a recommendation from a friend. Overall, it was a interesting experience that I'd be willing to try again. Theportion sizes are bigger than your eyes, and the flavor is pretty solid.

Tried a Pacifico beer. Better flavor with the enchiladas

I'm a lover of Mexican food. I travel quite a bit for work, so finding good Mexican food is a must. I always judge a restaurant by their enchiladas. I had the chicken green enchiladas. Chicken was tender and flavored well. The green sauce didn't taste like it was from a can. It's right across the parking lot from the hotel. If you have a chance, visit and have a Mexican beer or two. I barely got half way through and decided to post.

More than Drive by Tacos... the name and location of this little gem is a little misleading. I drive by it and it surpassed my expectations. The inside has a full service bar and dining room. I ordered a shredded chicken taco which was dual shell corn meal version and hot (temp) upon arrival. It was garnished with sauces, radish and cucumber for the weaker tasters. The meat is not boiled, but marinated and slow cooked. Really good. The enchiladas were assembled to order type. I got ground beef, which was spiced and fine grind and not mealy with fillers. Just meat done right. The sauce was good, tortilla soft and fresh. Now this may sound strange, but the rice was really GOOD. not dry afterthought. Moist short grain with traditional corn and pea or two. But it was moist, solid rice. Frijole were regular variant and the side salad with sour cream was fresh and light. Bravo. I hope this review helps others not drive by.

Great food, not an overly complicated menu, excellent service, and couldn't believe how affordable the place was.

The food was plain and they overcharged. The menu had a price and the receipt a higher one.

Tried out this higher end Mexican food restaurant just blocks from the circle downtown. For a lunch…read moredate with friends. Overall a chill environment and ith a nice front patio/ sidewalk seating area. We enjoyed the chips n salsa varieties, surprisingly the darker salsa wasn't spicier just a different flavor. Orde re d the chicken burrito which was gigantic easily enough for 2 to share. Very well made fresh ingredients, covered in sauces and cheesy. And we all tried different margaritas, mine was a strawberry fruity take on a margarita, good and garnished nicely. Rated fresh and flavorful, not very strong and a bit pricey. Especially with some being $100+ for a drink was wild. Overall nice place, nice environment, wasn't busy and tasted good but is priced higher than most Mexican restaurants in the city.

I frequent the Los Arroyos in Carmel but decided to try to downtown location for Cinco de Mayo. We were seated in their outdoor area where the heaters were not turned on and the day had been rainy and cold so most of the table was cold throughout our meal. The service was a bit slow but it being cinco de mayo, we understood that things may move a little slower than any other day. They had some specials for the day but I got my old faithful, Maria's Enchiladas with steak. It comes with rice and beans and it's just so so soooo good!!! I also got the Arroyo Margarita which was good but def could tell they were adding a bit more sour mix to the drink. Overall, it was a good experience but I will try to come back again on a day that is not as busy.

I have not spent much time in the Eastside of Indianapolis other than Irvington. Driving through…read morehere, you see the blight and the abandonment of this area of Indianapolis since the decline of manufacturing. Then again, it's not an uncommon story unfortunately- large parts of the city forgotten in terms of economic development but then suddenly needed during times of campaigning. Had taken Keystone and then Rural Street to get here, and the potholes are not kind. But, we had this place on our list and were determined to make it here at least once. Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage. Food: The food was very good. The proteins were nicely seasoned and juicy. The highlight for me was the birria tacos and the consome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10. This is a great local business in the area to support: offers a diverse menu of options with food that is comforting and tasty.

Still the best taco I've had!…read more This time I dined in instead of doing takeout. It is teeny tiny inside, just a few tables. But the decor was so pretty and vibrant. I'm pretty sure the owner was the one who waited on us. He was friendly and so patient while we decided what to order. I had the chicken chipotle tacos since I remembered them being so good last time but I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
