Cinco de Mayo 2025! Quick stop for some golden margaritas and my favorite chicken sandwich! Always a great stop for any occasion!

Nice fun place, with great environment and drinks. The bar has a good selection of Tequilas and other spirits. They have good Happy Hour prices and a vast selection for brunch. I enjoyed the burrito and all the drinks that I ordered. Server was attentive, friendly and even engaged in conversation when not busy.

Fun at Mexico AC on 7/2/25!

This is a locals place as the food is THAT good! If you are visiting AC, don't miss out. This food is authentic and is better than the food I've had on the many many times I've been to Mexico. Owners are wonderful people and the staff is top notch! Friendly, fun atmosphere. This is the REAL deal! We had a blast! Watermelon margaritas were great. Salsa is spicy which is much welcomed by our crowd! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! Airi is a wonderful server and bartender!!! I always order the Mole enchilada/taco/tamale combo. Delish. Others in our group love the fajitas! You can't go wrong here. Happy hour from 4-6 with great drink specials.

Flautas we're flavorless and dry. Fried fish tacos were not that good either. Rice barely has flavor. Nachos we're pretty good tho.

We just did take out and the food was great! Not sure what the Resturant looks like inside. I don't think they have parking, not sure?

There was only one bartender and one waitress handling food service. Neither of them took conflicting orders; she prepared food, he served drinks--plain and simple. Regarding the experience, I ordered a whole pizza with cheese and pepperoni, and it was truly terrible. Everything about that pizza was revolting--by far the worst I've ever had. One of my friends ordered pretzel bites with cheese, which were decent, but I promptly discarded the pizza and returned to my cocktails, which were the highlight of the evening. As I mentioned earlier, the crowd was lively, consisting mainly of younger, college-aged adults rather than seasoned locals, so we didn't stay long enough to mingle.

The incident that occurred late Sunday night was totally unprovoked and unacceptable as my Wife and I were set to leave and this White guy & his friend started this by pointing a drink at my Wife and unprovoked said; "That BITCH want a drink?" Then followed up with; "That BITCH with the Glasses" and Yes immediately afterwards I approached him and his friend with every intention to protect my Wife. But out of respect I looked to your Bartender who in his own words stated that "we didn't do anything to anyone and were not bothering anyone." I said to him; "Out of Respect for Your Establishment me and my Wife will leave because I don't want to disrespect your establishment!" My Wife and I feel Your employee should have had the 2 bigots escorted out and not let us leave under those circumstances understanding we were not the aggressors at all. We like to dine at different establishments as we are entering into this industry we've always love trying different places. We felt your establishment was one we could come to when we visited AC but after what occurred and how it was handled we don't feel our safety was a priority and that us being the ones who were provoked by 2 Bigots who entered your establishment already intoxicated when they sat down and the Bartender Over-serving them, we felt they should have been told to leave and regardless if we were getting ready to leave or not. It was mishandled by your Bartender from the moment He Served them their first "Screwballs"... We Will Not Be Returning to Your Establishment Nor Will We Recommend Such Establishments that Allow Such Behavior.

Simpson Restaurant Atlantic City - Good Food, Good Vibes... and a Side of Tea…read more Food Quality & Taste Let's start with the star of the show--the wings. Baby...they were seasoned just right. Not bland, not doing the most--just a perfect balance that even my hard-to-please husband had to nod in approval. Now that says a lot. Hubby also tried the brown stew fish with rice and veggies...and yeah, he wasn't impressed. To be fair, he doesn't impress easily, so take that with a grain of salt (he's a spice guy, so that may have won him over). I had the pasta, and I'll keep it real--it was simple. BUT once I borrowed (okay, took) some of hubby's veggies and mixed them in, it leveled up real quick. Round two, the next day? Much better. Hubby ran it back with wings and tried the curry goat--and this time, full approval. If we go back, we will try the oxtails. Value for the Price First visit: near $120 (not including tip) for 1 appetizer, 2 drinks, and 2 entrees. And listen--if we had added oxtails? Easily pushing $150. Second visit (wings + curry goat): just over $50, which, for AC, I guess that's about right. So the value really depends on what you order. Choose wisely, my friends. Cleanliness No issues here. The space felt clean and comfortable--no side-eyes needed. Customer Service The hostesses set the tone--very warm and welcoming, which I love. The waiter? He was nice, just a solid, nice. No complaints. Wait Time & Convenience Everything moved at a good pace. No long waits or confusion. It's giving smooth operation, especially for a busy Atlantic City spot. Presentation & Atmosphere It has a sports bar feel--on the darker side, but they do provide table lighting so you're not out here guessing what you're ordering. Now let's talk atmosphere...because baby, it was lively. Lots of birthday celebrations, music, and energy. The table next to us? Loud enough for me to learn way too much about their personal lives. I now know who's dodging child support and who's dating Benjamin Button So yes, it's a vibe--but not a quiet one. Red Flags or Warnings It can get loud, so don't come expecting an intimate whisper-over-dinner moment. Some dishes are hit or miss--stick with what works (wings and curry goat, oxtail are safe bets). Now I do have questions...why are the fruit slices in the drinks paper-thin? Either someone was showing off their knife skills, and we got the remnants or the mandolin was working overtime. Maybe the fruit budget is under review because those slices were darn near see-through. Overall: Simpson Restaurant has good energy, strong wings, and a fun, lively atmosphere--perfect if you don't mind a little noise and a lot of personality around you. Just be mindful of what you order, because everything doesn't hit the same. My stamp on this place is... "Queens' Quest"

PRIDE, PORK CHOPS & PURE JOY AT BYRDCAGE ATLANTIC CITY…read more Atlantic City was absolutely glowing this weekend during the Atlantic City Great Pride Festival at O'Donnell Park near Stockton University. More than 1,000 people were expected to attend, and the energy was incredible--music, dancing, laughter, and love everywhere you looked. Just two short blocks from the festival at 3426 Atlantic Avenue sits one of Atlantic City's true gems: Byrdcage Atlantic City. I stopped in throughout the day to cool off, enjoy some mimosas and other refreshing low-alcohol beverages, hydrate, and eventually have dinner. From the moment I walked in, I immediately got why this place has such a loyal following. First, the cleanliness deserves its own paragraph. I have visited restaurants all over the country, and I honestly don't remember seeing an establishment this spotless. The interior and exterior were immaculate. Not a spot of dust. Even during one of the busiest days of the year, the restrooms remained roomy, pristine, and exceptionally clean. The atmosphere is equally impressive. The décor is whimsical, fun, and carefully curated with fascinating photos and memorabilia everywhere you look. Outside, colorful murals create the perfect backdrop for photos and add even more personality to an already vibrant space. And then there was dinner. My server, Isabella, was friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient. She even arranged for a dinner entrée to be served before dinner service had officially begun, and I was so grateful she did. I ordered the Seoul Mate Sizzle Pork Chop Platter, and wow. A beautifully grilled bone-in pork chop glazed in a sweet and savory sauce and served over fresh pineapple salsa, alongside creamy herb rice and perfectly cooked vegetables including broccoli, zucchini, onions, mushrooms, and carrots. The pork chop was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the pineapple salsa took it to another level. It was one of those meals where you intentionally slow down because you don't want it to end. And the music? The music made me dance almost all day and well into the night. There was something happening everywhere--at the Pride Festival, downstairs, and upstairs on the dance floor. The DJs absolutely nailed it. Great music, great energy, and great people. I honestly lost track of time because I was having so much fun. Management was everywhere--engaged, attentive, and laser-focused on every detail of the operation. The entire team worked together seamlessly to create something special. More than anything, Byrdcage felt like what every establishment should aspire to be: a safe space filled with kindness, inclusion, acceptance, and pure joy. It was family-friendly, welcoming to everyone, and simply fun. I even bought a Byrdcage shirt at the festival because this is exactly the kind of local business I enjoy supporting. If you're visiting Atlantic City, don't just come for the casinos. Come for experiences like this. Come for the people. Come for the music. Come hungry. Come ready to dance. And absolutely make time for Byrdcage Atlantic City. I'll be back. #ByrdcageAtlanticCity #AtlanticCity #AtlanticCityNJ #AtlanticCityPride #GreatPrideFestival #Pride #LGBTQIA #LoveIsLove #InclusiveSpaces #SafeSpace #YelpElite #Foodie #PorkChopPerfection #Mimosas #DanceAllDay #DanceAllNight #SupportLocal #FamilyFriendly #RestaurantReview #AtlanticCityEats #VisitAtlanticCity #JerseyShore #StocktonUniversity #ODonnellPark #OrangeLoop #EatLocal #ACNJ #PrideCelebration #GoodVibesOnly #PureJoy #AtlanticCityBoardwalk #BeachVibes
