Tacos, enchiladas, this place has it all! If you are wanting to pick up something to go and you work in southtown or downtown THIS is the place to go. The lunch is AWESOME, it's quick, hot and tasty. The enchiladas have the cheesiest sauce and the beans are very warm. They have sodas and sweet tea which are served with your meal if asked. I enjoy their breakfast taco menu and their lunch menu. I was staying at the hotel nearby and decided to walk over and see what this place was about. I ordered the menudo, and it was amazing! Much better than I've had where I live, in Georgia (and infinitely better than the can). The soup was flavorful, and not too spicy. Perfect for a cold winter day! Service was also great. What can I say; delicious, fresh, and takes me back to authentic Mexican made in San Diego. Im born and raised in Las Vegas but have family in Oceanside and I grew up on Menudo. MADE FROM SCRATCH. I feel like im in my aunts house for the weekend after drinking all night. The smells, the ingredients used and the fresh hand made tortillas. Best part is im staying in the rooms right next door! My recommendation would be to avoid Mi Casa. My overall feeling is the staff couldn't care less about the customer - their response to questions about food was simply "We're not the owner". Unfortunately a really poor experience overall. There are wonderful options for Mexican in San Antonio, but this definitely is the bottom of the list. read more

The hostess refused to seat me ,she treated me like was homeless,.and even if was I was a paying customer. Get this there was people sitting at tables all white. Kiss ass. Found by accident. Small quant Mexican food place. Typical... the service was impeccable! Never had to ask for more coffee , they kept it full! Prices were unbelievable--seriously 3 breakfast tacos for 2.89 (special M-Fr)Figured they were tiny for the price, so ordered 3. They were large full size tortilla tacos. The salsa was excellent--spicy, but not too hot. The flour tortillas were heavenly, so light with just the right amount of chew. I could've eaten a stack of those and been happy. My husband got the corn tortillas and they were unlike any I've ever had--perfection! Generous servings, all excellent prices, and very friendly service. They take cash or credit. Solid, standard Tex-Mex food at good prices - the daily specials are always a bang for your buck and have way more food than I can comfortably eat. They serve breakfast tacos all day which is great, though they do have a tendency to underseason a little bit. The carne guisada is subpar in my opinion but the barbacoa is tasty. They also do great, fresh crispy tacos and puffy tacos. Rice and beans are typical, good but nothing exceptional. They understand English but don't speak it at all so it's a lot of smiling and pointing here. The interior leaves a little to be desired and occasionally the wait for food can be a bit long depending on what you order but if you're craving some simple Mexican food, not wanting to spend a ton of money, and you're in the area, Mi Casa is worth a try. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but it's a nice alternative to pizza or Bill Miller's on this stretch of Santa Rosa. read more
