Wonderful. Ernie chicken is the best with a delimma. Its the perfect drink. I also like the soup. Hubby likes tacos we always get white caso to start. I like the reg caso as well. I went on a Monday night for a quick dinner so I sat at the bar. I ordered a skinny mango margarita but i didnt like it so i asked for a strawberry mojito instead. The staff was very friendly and fast, food was great. The mojita had a slice of sugar cane, which was a pleasant surprise. I was very impressed at how attentive the staff, including management, was. Usually come here whenever we get the chance. My wife and I ordered a margarita at the bar and told the bartender we are going to eat here. He gave us a menu and our drinks. The manager noticed we didn't have any chips in salsa after a few minute. We have been visiting this Mi Cocina since it opened. We are greeted by the team by name with hugs and well wishes whenever my sister and I are back in town. Carlos is the man! My niece adores Libby...she always comes over if we aren't lucky enough to sit with her and gives her extra special attention. She remembers everything! This service is always slow here . The wait time is typical for a Friday but when we finally got seated for a party of 5 , we had to beg for chips and Salsa, the lady serving us seemed to be distracted and you just knew the order was going to be wrong , the food did come out ok but once you got the food finding her again was impossible. We barely got 1 drink refill , only have us two salsa bowls for 5 people , to me the food is not amazing and the wait and Lack of service makes you not want to go back . Started with the velvita queso (not a rotelle chili in sight) and a lack luster guacamole. Ordered beef fajita's, 3 soft fajita beef tacos and a #57 combo. The fajita beef arrived without a single sizzle. Couldn't be cut much less chewed. What bits were eaten had no flavor whatsoever. Same "beef" was in the taco's. Got a to go box and thought better of it. Left the sad meal there. The 57 had a lot of color. Unfortunately, that was all it had. Onions with the consistency and flavor of paper. Like others that have said the wait staff varies so you dont know if you will get your food and check right away or flag someone down after 45 minutes of waiting to get your check. Each item tasted good, I most liked the enchilada with the queso or sour cream sauce. I'm not sure what it was, but it tasted great. Rice and beans were on point. We love Mi Cocina, but if it weren't for our server at this visit we wouldn't come back. The manager on duty, after learning we had ONE extra guest (a 9 year old) had an issue with our entire party. Instead of approaching us and "asking" if we had an extra person, he came on the defensive and rudely said "okay, how many people are here because I was told 16 and that's NOT what's here". When we apologized and explained we had not realized initially we had an extra (but we had already told to the hostess who said it was fine) he rudely replied that was not what HE was told. My point is, having worked in the service industry for years, he could have approached us in a different manner and asked if something had changed, and he didn't have to speak to us in the manner in which he did. Our server was great, and our meal was good, no issues there. But at the end of our meal we requested to go drinks to which we were denied. Our server revealed to us that normally this was allowed BUT her manager had denied it this time. We were asked to order an additional meal in order to take to go drinks. We still had an open ticket when we ordered the to go drink. We are a traveling baseball team and frequent restaurants every weekend, so we are not ignorant and know the current guidelines. Apparently to him we were a problem after we misspoke our party number. So if it weren't for the server our time at Mi Cocina might be done. read more

I haven't been to a Mi Cocina in a while and won't be going back anytime soon! My daughter and I went so we could enjoy eating on their patio because it was a beautiful day! We had to wait about fifteen or twenty minutes, but when we were seated, it did appear they had empty tables, so not quite sure why the wait. The waiter was OK(not great), but the food not so much! After eating a few chips, I noticed a long hair in them!! We decided to share a dish, and some places will automatically divide the dish on two plates...not here because the waiter said the cook didn't understand. We each wanted different sauces but they only put the sauce my daughter wanted on hers on mine as well. As we were telling the waiter, he did offer to remake it, but it had taken a WHILE so I decided to try the sauce they put on there, but I didn't like it. When my daughter tried to take her enchilada off the plate, it totally fell apart and the tortilla looked very unappealing. The waiter then did have it remade, but once again, everything was still on the same plate, so we had to divide it ourselves. The new food was only lukewarm and not hot at all, meaning they quickly made it and rushed it out! Now our appetizers we got were good (guacamole and white queso). I wasn't looking for a reduction off my bill, but with all the above mentioned issues, at least a small percentage off would have been appreciated...but that didn't happen.
