I didn't become aware of this until I receive the bill. The margarita was delicious though! My party ordered the birria tacos as an appetizer, and we really enjoyed the salsas, consume, and presentation... but the tacos themselves fell kinda flat. I ordered the Molcajete to split with my partner, it is a bit pricey, but for the amount of food, I think it's worth it! Split between two people, I had to ask her to go box. We went to Mi Rancho on Monday night after picking up our Christmas tree. The restaurant was packed, and we came in with a large group of nine, so we were grateful they were able to seat us outside on short notice. Unfortunately, that was the only positive part of the experience. From the start, the service was chaotic. Two of our drinks were wrong, including one especially odd mix-up where a rum and Coke turned into a glass of Bacardi Silver with a lime--no Coke anywhere in sight. When food started coming out, a few people at our table sat waiting for nearly five minutes while others were already eating. I understand that large parties can be tricky, but the delays felt unusually long and disorganized. I ordered the steak fajitas. They weren't terrible, but the meat was tough and the dish overall lacked flavor. In general, the food was just okay at best. The biggest issue, though, is that three people in our group ended up with food poisoning later that night. That alone would have brought the rating down, but combined with the poor service and mediocre food, it made for a really disappointing experience. I would have given two stars, but after the aftermath, one star feels more accurate. read more

We've ordered takeout a few times recently and all were solid: ready quickly, packaged nicely, and full of flavor. Also, their portions are large so feel like a value for the price. My guy loves the fajita salad with al pastor and I love the veggie burrito. Our most recent order was quesadillas with shredded chicken. Large, cheesy, and satisfying! They were packaged with sides of sour cream, pico de gallo, and guacamole. And we also received complimentary chips and salsa - yum! I'm a burrito kinda gal when it comes to Mexican food. And let me tell you, this place did not disappoint. I went with a veggie burrito this time. Surprisingly, I didn't miss the meat. It was well done with plenty of veggies. There was also cheese, beans, guacamole and rice. So much flavor in every bite! The burrito was a good size and I finished it all....mostly because it was just too tasty to stop eating. Their salsas are delicious. For me, even the spicy salsa isn't spicy, but it does add even more flavor to the food. Next time I'm going to try one of their meats. We spontaneously popped in for a quick bite and a drink in between wine tasting in the Santa Rosa area. The service was great. It's a cute small restaurants that has a bigger patio area. As we sat down and looking over our menu I noticed a couple of flies . No big deal. It's life. But I overheard a women say there's always so many flies here. I thought well, I only see two. About the time we got our food, & the couple had left. Well we got ambushed by flies, I look over at the table next to us, no one was sitting there but there were five flies. Yes, I counted. A couple on a chair next to us, two on the wall and quite a flew flying around us. All I could wonder was how many are in the back kitchen. I've been looking for good Mariscos for a while and this place was amazing, I ordered the shrimp ceviche and it was honestly one of the best I have ever had. We had visitors from out of town and decided on this restaurant as none of us had been there before. We arrived at 10 o' clock exactly and were the only ones there. We chose a seat and after ten minutes the waitress came to take our order.So far so good . The problem begun after that ..IT TOOK EXACTLY 40 minutes for our food to arrive and when it got there it was barely warm. I watched the staff talking,laughing,carrying on and nobody thought to check on our order ...STILL THE ONLY ONES THERE. The food was mediocre and would have been better had it been HOT. The manager needs to review the service given and train those servers to look at the time between order and delivery of food at the table. WILL NOT RETURN . I've been coming here for the past three years but very rarely. Maybe 8 times . I have had to listen to my wife say the food here is not good. We eat here more out of convenience than desire for good food. It's never been great food. This being said today was the final straw for me. Ordered the fajitas. Chicken was bland and the steak was another story. After building a tortilla with the steak I was not able to bite through the meat. I I had to cut it into little pieces with a steak knife so I could actually eat it. It was cut poorly(with the grain ) and generally tough. The service was poor. Was sitting at the bar and the bar tender ignored me because a waitress sat me and took my order. I then had to flag her down just to get a beer or any service. This is Sonoma county and there is excellent Mexican food everywhere. I'm honestly surprised this place hasn't gone belly up. Most of the taco trucks serve better food. . While visiting a patient at nearby Sutter hospital we noticed Mi Ranchito was within walking distance and we wanted Mexican food. *WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED* Seated in the outdoor heated patio we enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal. Very extensive menu with lots to choose from. Chips were fresh and crisp and the salsa was simple but packed a punch. The regular burrito (beans, rice, Pollo Asado) was near perfection. Tender flavorful chicken, seasoned rice, pintos properly cooked served with a drizzle of sauce and cute pickled onion garnish and a bean..Dining partner had Queso Birria and said they were as delicious as they were beautifully presented. Friendly attentive service made sure we were well accommodated. Won't be back at the hospital and rarely have any occasion to be out by Mark West but if the Cotati Ranchito is anywhere near as good as this experience was we will certainly be back. So delicious and flavorful with a veggie grilled salsa side on homemade tortillas. The shrimp fajita salad was enormous with a combo of shallots and potatoes. By far our favorite Mexican restaurant, we have been coming for years! Food is delicious, plated and served fastidiously. They have a little "twist" on many items like the taquitos which come with a sweet jalapeno jelly which looks beautiful and are delicious. Best enchiladas around, love the sauce. Chicken is moist and well cooked. I have noticed some staff changes recently that have slowed things up a little bit but it's still worth it. Prices are very reasonable. Where can you get a huge burrito for $12? Take out is quick, usually not more than 10 min total. read more

Great for take out! I work close-by and had heard great things about the food so finally took the opportunity to venture out of my usual lunch spots and ordered lunch. The online ordering program is easy to use and super convenient to use. The food was packed nicely and arrived hot and ready to enjoy back at my desk. I actually enjoyed it so much, I placed another order 2 days later to try some other menu items. I have now had the quesobirria tacos which are a great option if you're hungry. The order includes 3 tacos and the dipping "soup" consume along with chips and salsa. I also had the "fiesta salad" which is a bbq chicken salad with greens, cheese, black beans, roasted finely chopped peppers, cilantro and a few other tasty add ins. I want to try the tortilla soup next as my friend who I was having lunch with ordered this as her meal and it looked amazing. Will enjoy on a cold rainy day for sure. read more

We wouldn't go back, unfortunately. We had heard good things but wouldn't recommend going based on our experience. Service wasn't great. The two younger people were nice, and that's about it. The food was just okay. The food couldn't convince us to go back and give it another shot. They wouldn't honor the gift card we had because they "updated their system" and directed us to go to Cotati to use it. It was a gift card purchased a few months ago, so that was a bummer to hear. Carolina served us this evening and was so on top of everything (I was surprised she remembered us). Got a recommendation for this place so we were excited to give it a try. Overall this place is what I'd call a "step up" from your " regular Taco Tuesday place; but as such, that comes with an expectation of quality and authentic food that can deliver. We started out with chips and salsa for the table. The salsa is fantastic. Slightly chunky, fresh flavors with just the right amount of heat. Nicely done. Out bowl of chips were were more crumbs than chips so that was a bummer. Im sure they would have replaced them if we asked but we didn't. For main courses we had the torta pibil and the conchinita pibil. Both had the slow cooked marinated pork served two ways. We both agreed we wanted more from the pork. Though it was swimming in sauce it was dry and stringy, and left me searching for flavor. We asked for hot sauce to punch it up and they brought us the most amazing fresh habanero hot sauce that was clearly homemade. It definitely helped! The rice was very nicely flavored; I think maybe cilantro lime? It was served with 3 tortillas and i definitely could have used another. The price was for the Torta was fair ($12) but I didn't find the conchitia worth the price tag of $19). That said, the servings were generous, so we didn't leave hungry. The ambiance is just what you'd expect from a Mexican restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating options. I really enjoyed the large mural painted across an entire wall, that was a nice touch. Third time here and each time the first thing you smell when you walk into the restaurant is Fabulouso Omg. It is SO unbelievably awful. I thought after the 2nd time it was maybe just a fluke, but NO it isn't a fluke at all. There is NO smell of meat cooking or anything related to authentic Mexican cooking. My stomach hurts. So sad.
