[[HIGHLIGHT]]I've driven past many times on my way to sutter hospital and it always looks inviting with all the beautiful plants and decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's smaller than I expected on the inside but the food is excellent with large portions.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance and service are great as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Pomegranate margarita

We stopped in for the first time after driving by many times. It's hidden from Piner Rd so out of site out of mind. We walked in and the young man greeted us to sit anywhere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside where it is was very pleasant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He came out shortly with the menu and chips and salsa. We really enjoyed their salsa. Service was great. We weren't forgotten outside as we were the only party out there. The servers were efficient, kind and personable. We really liked the pomegranate margarita on the rocks. Our order consisted of grilled chicken tacos and the macho burrito. The presentation was very nice. The portions were perfect for us. Took half of the burrito home. The taste of the chicken was ok. For my taste not enough spice. The pastor was decent. The only part of the burrito that was odd is they sprinkled Parmesan cheese all over the top. It didn't enhance the flavor it did the opposite. When you taste the sauce, cheese and the guacamole together it tastes almost sour. Not a great combo in my opinion. For the food it was on the pricey side compared to other restaurants. Overall good first time visit.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Friendly service, consistent food, prices on par, plenty of seating inside and out and enough options to keep everyone happy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My go to order is so simple - handmade tortillas & refried beans and/or the delicious al pastor tacos! Hubby has mixed feelings as sometimes he loves his dinner, sometimes not but either way, it's a nice spot for some tasty Mexican food. They have a few beers on tap that keep him happy as well!

    Al Pastor Chimichanga
    Steven L.

I ordered online an Al Pastor Chimichanga for take out. When I entered the restaurant I was greeted quickly and my food was ready in the expected time. Portion was pretty good for price. Al Pastor kind of taste like bacon so it wasn't I was expecting but it wasn't bad.

In the neighborhood and thought we'd go check our old fav out knowing there was actually a new restaurant there. Staff was very friendly and portions were great! It did take quite a long time to get our food even though we were the only ones eating in. Tuesday kids eat free so we will check that out next time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Food was tasty and restaurant was very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Chicken Enchilada Combo with pinto beans & rice
    Tracy M.

I stubbled upon this place getting in my steps. I was a first timer but had a taste for some chicken enchiladas. I was greeted and offered a table to sit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was no one else there so my options were completely open.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waiter quickly brought me a menu with tortilla chips and asked if I would like something to drink? After my order arrived I began to eat, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I couldn't help but notice all the eyes that watched me. Every so often I would take a bite and look around. The cook was watching me from the kitchen, the mother peered from the register, the daughter who greeted me also watched in silence, as well as my waiter. It felt creepy might I add[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Right before asking for a to go container, a fly landed on my uneaten Spanish rice. That ruined it for me. I was no longer interested in taking the food home, but I left the restaurant with it. I thanked them tremendously before I left.

Got a regular burrito from them and it was very well rolled and pretty good. I just feel like they could stuff the burrito with more things!

I feel like the burrito needed more taste. It was really small for the price that I pay for my tortilla wasn't even heated up.

With all of the options around it is sometimes hard to pick a place to go on a Saturday morning. Jeffrey's is a charming, family friendly establishment that is attached to a small inn off Highway 12. Other inside is pretty small, but they do have some outdoor tables. The interior has some lovely art on the walls as well as positive phrases making you feel like you're home. The service is also great here, and I feel like I've seen the same folks working here for many years. My wife and I ordered two different Hashes to share. The Brussel Sprouts and Bacon Hash is fantastic, which has this blue cheese aioli that gives the dish so much flavor. The Brussel sprouts seem like they're steamed and then tossed in the hash with sautéed diced onions, bell peppers and bacon. The aioli is on the side, but just adding a little bit to each bite gives it so much extra. We also ordered the special of the day which was a Smoked Chicken and Butternut Squash Hash. It has some of the same elements of sautéed onions and bell peppers, but this was served with a cilantro aioli. This dish, while not as amazing at the other Hash, was still really good. My daughter ordered the Buttermilk pancakes (added blueberries to them) with sausage and eggs. She certainly enjoyed them!

Food: Needs work. Ordered the Eggs Benedict. The poached eggs were on point. Absolutely perfect. The champagne hollandaise was a fun twist but couldn't save the meal. The English muffin might have been hard track. It was paper thin and I had to saw through it. Ham had no flavor at all. I don't think it was ham. Maybe thin sliced and unseasoned pork but not ham. Worst part was the county potatoes. They came out slightly above room temperature and hard. They're parboiled then flash fried. Not a bad way to get crisp but I can only assume they do this ahead of the rush and then they sit in a container to be served. My wife ordered her's extra crispy and they come out much better. Coffee smelled and tasted like an ashtray. Overall, I wanted to like this place and the service itself is amazing, but the back of the house needs some work.

My boyfriend and I ordered wine, the artichoke dip, mussels, tagliatelle, 1/2 chicken, and bread pudding. There was a good variety of wine to choose from and the waitress was nice enough to give me a couple samples before ordering a full glass. We were surprised by the lemon / tangy flavor in the artichoke dip but really enjoyed it! We LOVED the mussels--this was a generous serving, and this was a great combination with the broth and sausage. The tagliatelle was clearly homemade and fresh, and the sauce was flavorful but light; the only thing I would change is the amount of peas / pea flavor. The chicken skin was perfectly crispy! Lastly, the bread pudding was literally baked fresh to the point where we almost couldn't order it. The staff told us it would be a bit of a wait, but when it took a little longer than expected, they continued to check in on us and whether we still wanted to wait. It was definitely worth it! It wasn't as sweet / cinnamon-y as other bread puddings that I've had, but was moist without being soggy and felt like a true homemade recipe. The ambiance was casual yet intimate, and despite being busy, didn't feel crowded or loud. We also appreciated that the wait staff didn't rush us out!

My son just got two eggs, bacon, hash browns and sourdough toast, he was happy; they use quality bacon ($17.95). We also got a child's cheese burger for $8.95.( huge burger!). The entire meal was only $63.20 before tip! Well we didn't get coffee this time because we already had some home, might have added $10 more.
