My sister and I ate at the 2nd location on Airport Blvd. Everything was delicious! We had Ceviche Tostadas, chips and salsa, along with a side of fresh guacamole, and Granada margaritas. At the end we had the best coffee. The place was spotless. The owner was very nice. It had live music too. I highly recommend it, and we'll certainly be going back. This place has such great authentic Mexican food! I usually make my way here during lunch with my co workers! We tend to call in advance and let them know what time we will be there. Hit the spot! We dashed in for take out food after grocery shopping at TJ's. We came home last night from a 5 week sailing cruise on the Sea of Cortez, mostly around the Loreto area, and some Americanized Mexican food was just what we wanted!! The chili relleno was perfect, nice runny cheese in the middle with a light yet savory sauce on top! My husband had the vegetariano burrito, which he said was as good as it looked! The green salsa was superb! I need a recipe for that as I couldn't come close even with all the authentic produce at my disposal. Very satisfying and great portion size. As for the number of Mexican restaurants in Santa Rosa, CA the joke that I tell is that you can stand on any commercial street in this town, tee up a golf ball, whack the ball with your driver in any direction, you'll probably hit a Mexican restaurant with the ball. A joke is funny because it contains at least some truth. The food there is astoundingly delicious. Here at Mi Tierra the meat in my al pastor enchilada was dried out. I could eat it because the copious sauce on top moisturized it sufficiently. Beans and rice were pasty. Not much flavor. The topopos (tortilla chips) were extra large in size and portion. They were delightfully crunchy. But the salsa bar selections though generous in number also lacked any flavor pizzazz. I tried 5 concoctions. Jamaica (hibiscus flowers tea drink) had an odd metallic flavor. Did not taste like flowers at all. Was unsweetend, so diabetics here's an drink option for you. $13 for a small plate of food of this quality and a unsatisfying drink was not a great value. There are better, tastier Mexican joints in the neighborhood. Seek those out. read more

I've been going here for a while, and it feels like as their prices went up, the quality and consistency has gone the other direction. The last time going here was for a "Super burrito" 16.00.. This is our go to spot for super nachos but after today I think I'll just stick with El Patio. There normally is a gentleman who works there that is very friendly and has always given me great customer service and quality food. Today there were two ladies, not very friendly. When I placed the phone order she told me 10 minutes. I showed up and she had to remember my order and put it in so I had to wait for 10 minutes inside the restaurant, which I was trying to avoid. One of the women came in from clearing tables, to then answer the phone and then proceeded to pack my order without washing hands. The other lady using the register also didn't wash hands before she handled the beverages. I figured my food was already boxed up by the chef so the food inside containers were ok. The nachos were smaller than normal and There were no beans! I asked for a side of rice she charged me for a full side which is fine but I ended up with maybe 1/2 cup of rice. My husband hasn't opened his burrito yet so idk about that. When I called to let them know she had to check with the chef if he put beans on or not. I'm giving them 3 stars because the flavor was there, the steak delicious and in the past I had a great experience with the man that works there. read more

The main lady who works there is so rude which I've overlooked thinking maybe she's had a bad day but it's been 4+ years and she still has an attitude. Again, ignored it cause the food is pretty good and it's a convenient stop for me. However, I got three tacos to go today and ate them probably 5 min later and there were dead ants under the tacos and live ones crawling over the foil wrapped plate. I tried to overlook the bad customer service but ants in the food crossed the line for me. There are tons of amazing local taquerias in Sonoma County and this is not one of them. This place is consistently great. Big portions on food... they even have a burrito challenge!!! Havent done it but would love to watch someone try. They have a little salsa booth. The service is great, quick on to go orders. I usually order the #22 its a chimi but with added rice and beans on the side. Ive added green and red sauce both delicous. This place is really good. No grissle or even fat really in the carne asada. Good salsa bar options, pickled onions, habeneros, jalapeños, avocado salsa and the orange salsa was good not hot with a lot of flavor. We got a super quesadilla, super carnitas burrito and a carne asada California burrito. The burritos were like 9.99 but they were pretty big. First off, love this place. The best happy hour ever. 99 cent tacos. They are a tad smaller than a regular taco, but so worth it. I recommend getting one of every taco on the menu. You will not be disappointed! The lengua and cabeza are to die for. Agua Frescas on point. Side note: So before this new taqueria place opened, there was a different taqueria I grew up going to in this exact same spot. The best Mexican food and hospitality ever! Due to some terrible people conning this restaurant along with a multitude of other Sonoma county small businesses, they went out of business. They were sued out of everything they had and it put them and so many other small businesses out of business. Mi Tierra used to be located on Sebastopol Rd. They have newly moved here to this location on Airway Dr. Thank goodness because it was really a mess when it was El Azteca. El Azteca was an absolute disgusting disaster. Now that Mi Tierra is in there, this place has high hopes. Only bummer is, Mi Tierra is now further from my house than the old location on Sebastopol Rd. But that's okay. It's worth the drive. Mi Tierra has pretty tasty food that is satisfying to my pallette. I really enjoy all of the delicious salsas available on the salsa bar. There must be at least 6 of them. Salsa has optimum freshness. I personally enjoy the bright orange one. The chips pack a good crunch too. And they serve you lots of chips! Not shy in that department. There is a HUGE vast menu leaving you with endless choices. This time I went with tacos pastor and shrimp and fish taco with beans and rice. They have mole sauce which is a weakness of mine as I enjoy mixing it in my rice. The food is just as good as I remember from their Stony point location. read more

I was swayed to check this spot out due to the fabulous reviews. Sigh...I hate when I experience a Yelp fail. I eat a lot of Mexican food and didn't find this spot to be any better than average fare. I didn't get creative with my order - 2 tacos combo with carne asada and al pastor served with rice and beans. It was good, but nothing outstanding to be worth seeking it in the future. If I am in the area I'd go again, but I wouldn't trek across town for the spot. The carne asada was tender chunks, not fatty. The pastor didn't have nearly enough punch of flavor. I was disappointed I didn't get any of the sweet heat usually found in pastor. There is a salsa bar but two of the salsas need to be tweaked as they each lack dimension of flavor and heat. The roasted salsa tasted like it used stale, dried chilis which is probably why the flavor was lackluster on its own. Service was friendly; prices are high for food being served. Overall, in our area there are tastier options to enjoy and especially at this price point. read more

Had dinner here with friends. It's their favorite Mexican food in town. I had a grilled chicken burrito, which was mediocre and dry. He had the nachos, which were generous with the meat and cheese. My friends had the quesadilla and steak. They offer a good selection of alcoholic beverages. I enjoyed my margarita on the rocks. Service was OK, but slow and didn't check on us.
