Unfortunately, today was an absolute nightmare, and I had by far the worst haircut of my entire life. I had an appointment with Holly for my regular male side part fade. I even showed her a picture of how I usually get it done. She started using the clippers without a guard/spacer, cut it way too short, and realized she couldn't blend it. I am now left looking half-bald on the side with long hair on top. Instead of owning up to the mistake, she spent over 40 minutes trying to "fix" it while blaming me. She kept yelling and repeatedly telling me that my hair is "too difficult" and that my head is "shaped wrongly." I have had hundreds of haircuts in my life, and no one has ever said that. There was a clear language barrier, so I kept repeating the word "fade" and tried to stay calm, but being yelled at and insulted made it a terrible, humiliating experience. I am honestly ashamed of how I look right now. I will never let Holly touch my hair again. If you visit this salon, stick to the other stylists who actually do a great job. Avoid Holly at all costs.

I go to a different salon in Saratoga for the babylights to be touched up properly with dark brown+gold toner sometimes. Because they always leave the highlights brassy looking here. It's unfortunately that I have a Part 1 (highlights) here and a Part 2 (toner/gloss) elsewhere but that's the way I prefer it.

I walked in a bit early so another stylist took a stab at my hair (and spent about 10-15 minutes working on it) before my assigned stylist took over - after about 10-15 minutes, she asked me if it's OK to use a curling iron...of course I said "yes" knowing it was gonna end up that way...her manager also approved using it without charging me extra because she also saw how much trouble both stylists had with my hair... I'm glad I at least gave them a try so I know they can't meet the needs of my hair (without paying extra for curling iron)!

At no point did anyone clearly say, "We won't be able to complete your full service." Had that been communicated, I would have chosen to go home and style my own hair and let my daughters compete their service, especially since I had a very important event to attend. Instead, they had me sit down and proceeded with a wash and a quick blow-dry, with no styling, no volume, and essentially no finished look. I ended up with flat, unfinished hair and lost an hour of my time. This was extremely frustrating, especially on a day that mattered so much to me. Clear communication is all I needed and is extremely important for business when people rely on you to help make their day a lil lighter. I would not have gone through with the appointment if I had known the service wouldn't be completed. Unfortunately, this was a major letdown and not the level of professionalism I expected and now I'm driving home to finish my hair just mins before my very important event.
