Came here 2 days ago to get a haircut before my trip to Asia. Got my hair cut with Stephanie and she did am amazing job!! I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she just did her magic. She confirmed with me throughout the process to make sure that I was ok with the short length and that she wasn't cutting it too short...so I appreciated that since most hairstylists tend to cut your hair shorter than you want. This boutique salon is super cute. I was the last customer of the day so I was the only one there. But the salon only has the owner and Stephanie who work there so it's never over packed with customers and a million other stylists chatting. It's a very imitate and cozy. Steph is super fun to talk to for the hour that I was there. I'm very happy with my cut and have been getting non stop compliments from friends and co workers. Will definitely be back!!!! read more

Saw them on Groupon, called them directly (to save them money) to make an appt for a keratin treatment. Got appt fast. Got mediocre 15 min haircut for $60 and was told that I'll pay extra for my (just below shoulder) "long hair." I've been getting keratin treatments and Brazilian blowouts for years and didn't expect it to be $90! It's always $25/$40 max. After leaving the salon, I realized that I actually got a Brazilian blowout (my bad for not confirming before) that takes two extra steps compared to keratin treatment. Brazilian blowout website confirmed that product shouldn't be left in hair so I called salon - was told that they do this all the time and nothing ever happens... what? Then was told that the 2nd wash and hair mask is an extra charge... what?! The hair mask (that I never got) was mentioned in the Groupon under 1 service and is never an extra charge - it's all a part of the treatment! I paid $340 inc tip ($309 without tip) for a half done service. Thankfully, I have a bottle of Brazilian blowout deep conditioner and will wash and blow dry my hair myself. Called the second time To ask where my hair mask is - no one picked up - I don't think they'll be calling me back... it will cost extra! read more

Years ago, my original hairdresser just left abruptly and left for China with rumors that he had tax issues. I was devastated because I had been seeing him for years and felt like I had broken up with someone. So, I asked my brothers ex girlfriend where she got her hair done. Her hair always looked so amazing. She told me to go to Mia Bella and ask for Cindy or her sisters. But she said Cindy IS the best. She does the best cuts. Colors were even better. I went to see Cindy and never looked back. I've been seeing Cindy for the past 7 years or so and she never fails to make me look amazing. People literally stop and ask me where I get my hair done. I love that Cindy always asks what I want but then provides professional advice on what would work best for me. Not to mention that's she has a great ear and always enlightens me with her wisdom and great sense of humor. We share stories and jokes the whole time. It's like hanging out with your best friend for a day but the bonus is you leave looking like a million bucks! The salon is small and intimate. Bring quarters for parking...there's a parking lot a block away where you can park for 3 hours. They will offer you water, tea and wine. I LOVEEEE the ladies here. They are professional and you can tell they care about their clients. I originally came in for a groupon keratin treatment and as I was waiting, I watched Cindy put extensions on one of their clients and I was AMAZED by the results. I was totally sold and booked another appointment to get them done. I can not tell you enough how much I LOVE THEM. I expected them to be very heavy and weigh my hair down but it's so lightweight and blends beautifully with my hair. I was a little worried that the straight hair would not blend with my naturally wavy hair but it does! Only downside is that it's uncomfortable to sleep on but after a week you get used to it. TLDR; lightweight, beautiful, natural looking hair extensions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

Stephanie and Cindy are awesome! They're both talented ladies and are super friendly. I highly recommend them because they know what they're doing and can give you the exact hair color you want. Stephanie has only styled me, but I've heard great things about Cindy too. Stephanie offers the best blow-outs. I always feel fabulous coming out of the salon every time I get my hair done by her. Note: Street parking has a time limit. It is best to park in the garage in case your appointment goes over than expected. I did Brazilian blow out in this place and I pretty much satisfied with results . Not sure what company do they use for this treatment but I've been doing Brazilian blow out couple times and this one is no worse then anywhere else. Just make sure that you will use the right hair products once the treatment will be done. I purchased a Groupon for a Brazilian Blowout at this salon. The lady was really nice but I had a feeling that I wasn't getting anything of what I needed. First I have done Brazilian Blowout and keratins before and I know that my frizzy hair won't be that sleek just at once but I was expecting that my hair would at least look smooth and my frizz would be tamed. All she did was wash and she did applied the treatment but in less than 1.5 hours she was done (some others places would take 3 hours and would be effective). I washed my hair yesterday and I noticed that I got nothing my hair is still frizzy and rough. My hair is just like before it changed nothing. I am so disappointed because even tho I got a Groupon it was still expensive for the length+tip. I was expecting a good service but I don't even think they do a real Brazilian Blowout there. I started cheating on her with other "stylists" close to my job, strictly because of the convenience factor, but I was never happy with the outcome. Horrible place with horrible people. I was offered a head massage for an hour, booked an appointment, was asked about my hair length. My hair length is medium, I got an appointment booked. The package I booked was for a shampoo, blow dry, style, head massage. After starting my appointment the person dealing with my hair told me my hair was long (it's actually only right past my shoulder), half shampooed my hair, did a blow dry and then told me that she would charge extra money for my length. I told her it would've been great if I knew about the extra charge when I booked the appointment and not after my service started, my recommendation wasn't considered. The whole duration was 30 minutes. When I checked about why I was promised an hour's worth service and only got 30 minutes done, the lady attending my hair told me I lied about my hair length. If I need an hour's long service I'd have to pay $15 extra. Please don't visit this place, the people here are very rude and unprofessional. They offended me so much and they didn't even try to apologize. read more

I love Cindy! She's by far the best hair stylists I've had!! :) and is definitely a keeper! My appointment was 12:30, and I'm the type of person that goes early to an appointment, she walked in and saw me at 12:20ish, even apologized for being late, not even!! Girl, I'm the one who's early, thank you for seeing me before 12:30! My hair has been split-ended, damaged, and cut in all the wrong ways. Not proud.Lol, and Cindy definitely saved me!! I've had it cut a couple years ago with Cindy, and I really liked it. I normally go to the San Bruno location but I was excited to find a location closer to home. OMG Cindy had a free appointment! Yep book me now! Cindy owns Mia Bella and taught all of the stylists that work under her. She has serious hustle and is really fun to talk to. (Imagine your really out there cousin or super cool auntie.) She wasn't afraid to be real with me about my hair and how to make it look its best. Meanwhile she tamed my hair and made it fabulous. Now I understand why she's booked two months in advance. This location is very small, as in there's only two stylist chairs. Still it's very cute and you can always meet up for a date ahemSEPHORAahem when you're done. If you're down for a more intimate hair styling experience I would go here. Since fewer people can fit in the room it makes your haircut that much more intimate. read more

I came in for the first time last week to get a haircut and color and was well taken care of from beginning to end. They were courteous and accommodating when I called to make my appointment and spent a significant amount of time when I came in to understand what I wanted and making professional recommendations for what would be best. Stephanie and Cindy were professional, HILARIOUS, and caring! My ombre was subtle, which is what I asked for, and the haircut was the right length and shape. Stephanie even taught me how to curl my hair to enhance the ombre look at the end! If your service is going to take more than two hours, call ahead and ask them where to find all day parking. read more

Very caring personalities! But here's what happened to my hair: 1- they are AMAZING at washing your hair. It's a massage and your hair will be clean! 2- for a blow out... Must note, if you want waves it probably WON'T happen. My hair is easy to work with but I don't think they have the technique down for a blow out. But I still enjoyed my hair straight :) 3- sadly, it smells like fish. I noticed it's a small cute place and they need to eat obviously but the smell when you first come in is tough. I couldn't smell it later because my nose got used to it. 4- Lastly- my stylist sneezed multiple times in her hand and touched my hair. As a fellow worker in the beauty industry, sanitizing is #1 priority. 5- the Groupon is worth it! Give them a visit! read more

Very disappointed . Went in here for a brazilian blowout which seems to not have lasted after my First hair wash.. my hair is back to how it was prior to the Brazilian blowout . This isn't the first time I am doing a Brazilian blowout so I know how my hair reacts to It . The stylist did a pretty rushed job with my hair wash and massage as well. I got a groupon for a blowout and redeemed it with Stephanie this past weekend. There were several things that bothered me about this place. First off, Stephanie was very sweet but I was there for more than 2 HOURS, just for a blowout. I really bought this groupon for the deep cleanse shampoo and massage, but she rushed that part because she was doing highlights on another customer simultaneously. I asked her to style my hair with lots of curls. Unfortunately by the time I got to my destination, just 9 miles away, my hair was already flat and straight. But what really made me write this was because at one point of my appointment, another lady (i think it was the owner) came up to me and told me i have breakage on my ends. I did not appreciate that comment. I took it as a very unnecessary attempt to upsell me to get a haircut since I came in with a prepaid groupon. read more

I purchased a Brazilian Blowup on Groupon. It was a good price, so it was worth to try. I had Brazilian done before by my regular hair stylist and some occasional masters. I was never really satisfied. Stephanie is a real artist! She is confident, efficient, and incredible! From the first second she touched my hair, I knew immediately this is it! As if Mia Bella needed another good review! We all know salon Mia Bella rocks!! And Cindy, this girl knows it all about hair!! I love her. I've been coming to her to get my haircut for some time now, and I knew I had to chose her to do mine and my bridesmaids hair for our wedding. I went to get a hair trial done only to see how I looked in some hairstyles. I didn't have to do a trial to test out her skills or see if it would last the whole night because I already knew it would be her, i trusted her that much and wanted to BOOK HER right away. She made all of us look and feel good on our wedding day, I don't regret a single penny!! My bridesmaids are the ones to talk and they automatically told me their hair is either complicated to work with, can't hold curls, etc.. We got our hair done by 2pm, ceremony was at 6pm and partied all night, had an after party, slept at 4am and woke up the same way!! (Haha not to sound nasty but you know you had those kind of nights too). All of our hair looked gorgeous!! Thank you Cindy, I forgot the other girl who came with her to help, I believe her name was Anne or Anna? I met like 2 Ana's that day, just can't figure out if it was at the venue or at the hotel. Anyway, they both did an amazing job. I totally recommend Cindy to do any bride's and bridesmaids hair. horrible customer service! these 2 young girls have a lot to learn about 'customer service' ..i made my 'groupon' appt..3 months ago for a brazilian blowout..ya ok my bad for even using "groupon for losers right" ? i suppose that's why they need groupon to bring in customers...anyhoo..long story short...i showed up on time for my long anticipated appt...as i arrived the girl knew i was the brazilian blowout customer and advised me they were behind schedule...i only see 2 girls & 2 chairs in the whole small place! with other patrons sitting waiting before me...she says it will be about 30 mins..so i say i'll go for a walk and come back shortly...20 mins later i come back...she says another 30 mins..i sit down patiently...tick tock..its saturday !!! my day off...got so many things to do before i leave for vacation...now its 1 hr later...the girls are chit chatting away with seated customers about processed foods blah blah blah...no apologies as i sadly sit waiting ....i'm worried about my car ..i paid 3 hrs parking and just chewed up 1 hr...i know the blowout takes very long like over 3 hrs for my long hair...still sitting being ignored...everyone chit chatting ...ok that's it !!! iget up...nicely announce i made my appt over 3 months ago so something like this would not happen..and they keep taking in 'walk in's.' ?...wow....putting me on back burner ? poor customer service...these girls need to learn a few things about how to run a business !! well...on my way out i call groupon and share my exprience....no worries...i get a FULL REFUND !!! next time i will pay full price...and go elsewhere that don't put a patron with an appt on the back burner !! :( Would never recommend this place to anyone....ewww me thinks NOT ! read more

I LOOOOOVE THIS PLACE! The ladies are so nice and their act of kindness is very welcoming! Their place is small but very nice. It's in this building where the ground floor has a waterfall & inside seems so relaxing.
