This place was tucked away in a shopping center in the upper Shelton, WA area. Dining room was a bit small but the aesthetics made up for that, not to mention their A.C. worked (the last teriyaki place the wife and I went to didn't). Service was amazing, friendly, and prompt, and the price per plate (although kind of steep, 20$ a plate) you most definitely see where your money goes! I got the beef yakisoba and everything was top notch! Super fresh ingredients and flavored to perfection. 8/10, would definitely come back if I ever found myself in Shelton again. read more

Wanted to try a new place, went here for lunch. Got chicken yakisoba lunch special. It was a decent price, and decent portion. The food wasn't bad, but also wasn't overly great either. Slightly better than Chinese food from Safeway. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The person behind the counter was friendly. My food came out fairly quickly. We love this place! Years ago, it was great. They retired and sold to an awful place that hired deer in headlights teenagers. Fast forward several more owners, and a few months ago, new owners that know what they're doing! It might be better than the original owners. Everything we've had so far has been excellent. The food was amazing! I have one in the area I live in so I was excited to see one here. I went with about 10 family members whom all got different things and all raved about the flavors. I had Mongolian beef and yakisoba. The noodles were seasoned to perfection and the meat was tender and flavorful. The service was friendly and the restaurant stayed busy all night. read more

Ordered both a chicken and a beef teriyaki meal to go. Was ready in less than 15 minutes. Place was very clean and well lit. I got plenty of food that also included a small salad. Food was excellent would highly recommend that if someone is looking for a good meal there at a fair price go there. The menu that is online is a little outdated. I love Miako. I eat here a couple times a week just because it's super convenient, being close to home, and is yum yum all the way. My only gripe is that it can take a while to get your food. Sometimes they have lines and it can be like an hour... I usually call ahead and then when they say 1/2 hour I usually give them 45 min. I took a star off for that, but otherwise this is, imo the best Japanese food in Shelton. I just wish they had sushi. read more

Ordered the Kung Pau Chicken that didn't really taste right but eat it anyway. What a mistake. Not sure if the chicken was fresh or contaminated but it's been miserable the last couple days. I started getting symptoms within hours. My symptoms are Nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, and diarrhea. All symptoms of food poisoning. Properly preparing food is essential for a business and i would definitely not recommend this business. FYI - it was the only thing I eat all day. read more

I love this restaurant! I have been coming here since i was a child, and now my husband and I enjoy the food weekly. The owner knows my husband by name and remembers our order when we call in for to go every week. The food is so delicious, we share the chicken fried rice, egg rolls, and Mongolian beef and it is always so good! There is no Chinese food in Shelton as good as Miako's! read more

Food in Shelton is iffy at best. Miakos is my go to. I get the house fried rice, medium spicy. So yum

I haven't had any issues so far and I've ordered about 12 times in the last year. They don't have a hold queue so sometimes they miss calls but I usually just call back in a minute. Food is really good and worth the price. If they get a automated hold queue I think they'd get more business. read more

They might remodel the place but the food is nasty and the taste is worse. The beef and chicken have a rotten taste that I and my son were not able to eat and the digestion of the small amount we ate simply cannot be part of public comment. Miako is by far the best Chinese in Shelton. In fact, it's probably the best food in Shelton in general. I've had a little bit of everything, but I particularly like their pork teriyaki, and my fiance always gets their chicken teriyaki. Their gyoza is quite good as well, as are their eggrolls and yakisoba. The people who own the place are great too, some of the nicest, friendliest people I've ever met. That's what really makes this place for us, but the great food and low prices help too. ;) I agree with the below poster that their salad side isn't the best, but what can you do. read more

I love Miako! The restaurant is very clean and the customer service is great. My favorite is the tofu delight and the shrimp fried rice - its always delicious! Sometimes the owner will even throw in free Gyoza :). This is by far the best place to eat in Shelton. Overall - good prices, great food, great service, and nice clean atmosphere. read more

The teriyaki I've picked up here on a few occasions wasn't that bad (plus it is relatively fast and cheap). The 'salad' (a handful of iceberg lettuce drowned in ranch dressing), however, was pretty gross; also it really irritated me that they charged 35 cents extra for a squirt of Sriracha with a takeout order. The only reason I had gone to this place multiple times is that it has a convenient location near the highway and the grocery store, and I didn't know of any better places to get some teriyaki in Shelton. under new ownership... apparently. .. went in, ordered my usual chicken terriyaki with Xtra cabbage instead of rice... after much debate between the cook and the cashier it was decided it would be $4 extra to sub cabbage for rice .... because of all the "extra work" it would require... lol so $14.00 would be the total for cabbage and chicken... then the cashier says she's the new owner and doesn't agree with the cook, but ... (shrugs) wow. I called Kobe Terriyaki and got the same thing no questions asked for $7.95.... it was also delicious. Don't waste your money on this place, where customer service is obviously severely lacking. read more

The food taste great, but i'm only giving 3 stars due to lock of service. After getting the food served, the waiting lady disappears and can't find her to ask anything else. Last couple of times I went, it was hard to get right service. I couldn't find the waitress to ask for water refill. She seems only appear to take order and get the payment.
