My husband and I went to mica's last night, what a disappointment, I ordered fideos with huancaina and roast beef on the side but the meat came with a tomato sauce that changed the taste with the huancaina sauce which didn't have a good flavor it was missing something, my husband ordered half of a rotisserie chicken which didn't have any flavor. The waitress never came to ask if everything was alright, didn't ask if we needed something else to drink. I've given this place a second chance to shine but it hasn't changed at all. I don't think I'm coming back here again. read more

I have to admit the food is always great but expect a lack of customer service, prices continue to go up and still seeking a tip. No one checked up on us. I had to stop them several times to get their attention for a referral on my water. Even then they forgot to bring it back out until they asked me if I was ok. To be honest I shouldn't have left a tip from the moment we walked in the door we didnt get proper service. They sat us in the booth and cleaned over us, we didnt mind waiting till they were done cleaning. The lomo saltado that I ordered recently was not prepared with the right beef. The strips were thin, tough and dry. The few tomatoes were sauteed too long, they looked mushy. The cilantro was hardly noticeable, dark green instead of a fresh bright green. Too many french fries. $19 + tax for that! All in all the most tasteless lomo saltado I have ever had. I can't even explain how amazing this Mica's is. My mom told me about it and since she worked closer to this restaurant I would ask her to get me the chicken fried rice or the shrimp fried rice, the flavors are sooooo amazing, it's not your average fried rice and the spicy cilantro sauce they use to add to the dish? I love Peruvian food, i gave this place 3 stars because of the service. I can deal with waiting, I can deal with cold food (sometimes), but what I can not deal with is inconsistency. This place has gone from being one of my favorites to my least! The problem, slow kitchen! Over the weekend, We put our name on the waiting list, they said about an hour! It was no problem, We spend that hour in the havens market. We come back and they disregard us, my husband really wanted some ceviche so I decided it to place the order! They told me their kitchen was running behind, so I placed the order to make sure my food has time to be prepared. I go back to heaven market, come back 30 minutes later and still no order. I got so frustrated! I think They need new management, the food is good, but when you make people wait about 2 hours for food. That's when it becomes a problem. read more

Ordered take out , my husband picked up. Opened packages when he got home , half order was missing after giving them a 20% tip just for packing it . Spoke with manager Teresa assured me she would refund missing items and email refund receipt. 3 days later no email , no refund . I drive there to speak to them in person , given the run around of who's who , acting like they don't know who Teresa is ! Finally Terri whom I was speaking to and is a manager , calls someone and apparently they did not have my email and said refund was processed . I asked her who she called , she said Theresa the owner . I asked her why did they act like they had no idea who Theresa was , she said oh she goes by Maria , she has two names ! ‍ So I wrote email address down for them and again receipt of refund will be emailed, 3 days later no email, no refund . I call last night , manager gone , I call this afternoon manager just left and no one I can speak with ! Absolutely frustrating! Beyond dissatisfied with their lack of customer service . Beware , they do not stand by customer satisfaction! This all stems from their employee not packing order correctly , which although bugged , I understand we're human and mistakes happen ! I originally wasn't going to write this review after we had horrible service and experience, but after I woke up at 2:30 in the morning throwing up, I figured I should. My boyfriend and I came here for lunch yesterday around 2 o'clock. The place was pretty busy as soon as we walked in. We were standing by the front door inside for about 10 minutes before even being acknowledged that we were there. Servers and other employees had walked by us that entire time without greeting us and letting us know that they would be with us when they had a chance. So finally someone came up to us they sat in the back corner booth, that was so squished. We had to pull up a chair and sit on the outside of it because of how uncomfortable it was. Our server finally came up to us about 10 minutes later with bread and took our drink and appetizer orders. Before even bringing our drinks, he was bringing our appetizer to us. We asked for straws and never got them. We finally ordered our food and that was the last time we saw our server. Someone else had brought our food to the table and no one came back on our table to check on us at all, I had to get up three different times to ask for things. The girl controlling the register told us our server had left to go home. No one told us anything and he didn't come up to us and tell us he was leaving. It was as if we were forgotten about. This was the absolute worst service we have ever had here and we've been coming here for a few years now. Not only was I upset about the service, but now I will not be returning because of how sick I got. I had to call out of work today with food poisoning. read more

Mica's is a hidden gem. I regular this place for lunch with my coworkers. It tends to get overlooked because Haven City is right next door with its food court. Mica's has outdoor seating available and the tables are all spaced out and roped off. It's all shaded and is cool even in the hot months in Rancho. The staff are all wearing masks and they are constantly cleaning between tables. The food is amazing. My absolute favorite is the Tallarin Saltado with Shrimp. It's soooo good with the green sauce they provide. The Ceviche is also very very good. The corn and fish that's in there is seasoned perfectly. read more

Peruvian food, by choice will be eating a lot of carbs. Some things like white rice and fries are your side items when the dish comes with potatoes also. A little on the high carb side but the service and food was definitely very good with very large portions. The pasta dishes we chose were enough for two, possibly even three people if appetizers were also ordered. I would definitely eat here again on a cheat day. read more

I visited Mica's for lunch the other day with my wife. The food was really good like always. The only complaint I have is around the server named Tony D. The worst service I ever dealt with, when you first walk in you have to wait to be seated and on a slow day when I went, they ignore you and walk by several times, once your seated they take your order and bring you food out don't come back unless you wave them down, they're in the kitchen joking around and it seams like they try to look the opposite way to not help you, I finally waved down a server and that told me that they would call my server, and after 5 mins they came to ask if I need anything, food is decent. read more

Based off of the recommendations on Yelp my boyfriend and I ordered their Trio de Empanadas and Lomo Saltado to share. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the dishes! The Trio de Empanadas had beef, cheese, and chicken empanadas. The Lomo Saltado was beef with sautéed veggies, french fries, and rice. Both dishes were delicious. I enjoyed that it came with french fries since I love potatoes! And of course, adding the green sauce made the food taste even better! Overall, Mica's was a great place to get dinner and I am happy my boyfriend and I tried it out! Every now and then I felt that the service was a bit slow, but that didn't deter too much from the good experience I had. The lomo saltado was pretty good. The beef had a nice seasoned flavor and it's juiciness added some flavor to the rice. I asked for my fries to come out well done but it didn't seem well done...seemed just normal..unless that was considered well done to the cook? Either way, the fries ultimately got soggy which I was trying to avoid so I didn't really eat them in the end. The dish was also tossed with a good amount of onions that was sautéed just enough to cook them but still maintain a bit of a crunch. It paired perfectly with the beef. I also used the dipping sauce that they provided with the bread which added a nice spiciness to the steak. I also had the calamari which had a nice crispness from the batter and the pieces weren't too big which was easy to bite. It also came with a sauce but I still preferred the bread sauce which paired well the calamari...giving it a little bit of spice! Great lunch spot with affordable prices and unique food selections! They offer great seafood, meat, and vegetarian options. The interior is a lot smaller than it first appears (thanks to mirrors) and is quite quaint and casual. Waitresses are a bit difficult to understand, but that just adds to the Peruvian quinine experience! I like the bread served in the beginning! It's so nice to dip into the semi-spicy Peruvian sauce. Alcohol selection is much better than I thought and affordable!! Only $5 for a hefty glass of red wine and boy do you feel it after. My friends shared the ceviche and calamari platter. Definitely enough for two! You get a huge bowl of fries with it (WOOP)!! I ate the Saltado something or other. It has Shrimp, Mussels, Calamari, Scallops and is served with a mound of rice and some soggy (still good) fries. I highly recommend dipping everything into the Peruvian sauce!! (YUM). The chicken was really tender and skirt steak was good not excellent. The portion size was not a lot and they told us it should be enough for 2. The Parilla comes with a size salad as well. My husband and I were going to be in the area and decided we wanted to eat at a peruvian restaurant. We went to Micah's and stayed there 20+ minutes. We were seated (uncomfortable booths). We were brought cold rolls and no one came to our table to take our our order. No one asked if we wanted to order drinks since it was over 100 outside. No one asked if we wanted to order appetizers. Nothing zilch. We waited about 20 minutes. A couple was then seated across from us (3 feet away?) and they were given rolls and then the waitress immediately began taking their order!!! I stood up and told her we have been waiting 20+ minutes and no one ever came to our table besides dropping rolls off at our table and not saying a word to us. If I could give 0 stars I would. My Peruvian blood got super excited when I found this little gem in Rancho Cucamonga. I was a little hesitant about the "fusion" part since usually they do not end up tasting authentic, but to my pleasant surprise, most of it tasted delicious. The place itself is not that big. Having said that, the table are small, so not much elbow room, ladies: leave your big purses home. The service: great. Both servers were so friendly and helpful. The food: large portions. Easily could have split my meal with someone. The flavors were exactly what I had been wanting. The best, of course was the Lomo saltado. The juices of the lomo mixed with the sautéed red onions and tomatoes were mouth watering. The rice soaking in those juices were the perfect combination. True Peruvian goodness there. The 'Choritos a la chalaca' were pretty dang refreshing. The Ahuadito de pollo was pure authentic and comforting dish that I remember eating when I was young. My only disappointment was the 'Huancaina' sauce. That was not at all the spicy,cheesy sauce I remember, which is a shame since it's such a staple of Peruvian food. Oh, the chicha morada was perfectly refreshing on such a hot day. Would come back if in town. Just wouldn't order the papas a la huancaina. read more
