I recently spent around 30K with Michael and Sons for a new HVAC unit and furnace, and so far, it's been great. But my issue with Michael and Sons is that once they get in your house, they seem to always be sniffing around for more possible work they can do and money they can make. For example, a tech came out last week, which I thought was for an inspection of my HVAC unit. Not so. The tech was only looking at my breaker box and some outlets In the basement. Why? I have no idea. And in a few minutes it was suggested that I do some upgrades for 6k, which I declined because as the tech said, "These upgrades were not critical at this point." read more

My technician was Cesar Naveda. He was extremely rude and unprofessional from the 1st phone call. I informed him that the property was tenant occupied and that upon arrival he should ring the bell and knock on the door, and that I would be responsible for paying the service fee. He asked me what the issue was, and I told him that the tenant would explain. He immediately changed his tone to say that he would have to call me for the pricing and that he wouldn't be able to move forward without talking to me, but his tone was absolutely unacceptable. After arriving at the home, he left me a voicemail and the first thing he said in the voicemail was "she doesn't seem like a nice lady at all". He didn't realize it was already recording. I called Michael & Sons, they reviewed the phone calls and apologized for his behavior. I called Michael & Sons after my heating system was being on and off. The tech Douglas came and evaluated the system. Douglas was a nice gentlemen. He told me that the blower motor needed to be replaced. This is how it acts up when there is a problem with blower motor. He even told me that he had just replaced a blower motor at other property before he arrived to mine. There was a crack on the condensation pan connection outside the system next to the UTrap he said it's a difficult work to change the pan but since it's not leaking inside replacing blower motor will solve the problem. Later when he went to the office he send me a evaluation saying the flames were uneven, there was a crack in condensation pan the system is very old and rusty and needed to be replaced and I will send someone for estimate. My system is carrier infinity system 2013. Cameron came after 2 days and looked at the system. And never got back. I called them to ask if they had sent evaluation for different property but they never got back. I sent their evaluation to my warranty and they denied coverage. Right after that I called another company for evaluation. He evaluated it was blower motor failed and needed replaced. He changed the motor and condensation drain pan. The system is running smoothly. The technician that I hired from other company said the system is clean and the coil was aluminum and doesn't rust. If anybody reading my review please don't bother to even call M&sons. They are a cheat in market. They only try to sell new unit and take the 89$ evaluation charge. read more

Raj and Soni was very professional and on time. They did what they told me what they were going to do and clean up after they finished. The only concerned I had was that they couldn't give me a receive when the work was done. Sone said he was going to email me, but he didn't have that on file and it wasn't his fault. The same lights went out 45 days prior but they only garuntee work 30 days. Last time a circuit breaker replaced (fortune!) this time a loose wire. Huh. Be very careful about anything that Michael and Son tell you needs to be done. They told me that I needed extensive work on my home that wasn't needed. I came very close to having them jackhammer through my foundation to fix a crack in a pipe that did not and does not actually exist. Before moving forward, I called other plumbers for additional opinions and found that this work was not necessary. read more

Really disappointed by this company. I called three times to find out if my repairman had arrived because the GPS was say he was here but not at the right location. the company hung up on me twice. The repair man, he probably makes commission on this service because he tried to push the membership on to me and thousands of dollars of unnecessary repairs. I don't need a UV light for my furnace or any of the other repair he kept pushing. The repair man looked at me thunderstruck when I politely rejected all his services. If you want a simple HVAC inspection be ready for the sales pitch. The $68 service quickly turns into a $2,000 service if you are not careful. read more

Their website says services available twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. I called at eight thirty a.m. on a Saturday morning to schedule service and they told me that someone would be out to fix my hot water heater between ten and twelve a.m. They called back after eleven a.m. and said that nobody can come until the following Monday, two days later. I had a great experience with Michael & Son on an electrical issue in my kitchen. I made my appointment for the next day online, and received a confirmation text within 5-10 minutes, with an estimated time of arrival. The technician Douglas was awesome. He showed up within the estimated time. He tested the lines and traced them. He checked our breaker panel, then he explained what he could do to possibly correct our problem. He provided.options and we settled on him performing a troubleshoot. He showed me where we had loose wires within the receptacles that we had problems with. Hopefully that was all that was wrong. He arrived quickly, verified what to look for and showed us why there was no need to be concerned. I had a huge problem in my kitchen. The older breaker box kept flipping off, which meant no dishwasher until I flipped the switch. Sometimes it interfered with the garbage disposal, too. One day it wouldn't work at all. Now how do you find an electrician who will come immediately? Most companies said they would be available in 4 days. Michael and Sons said 4 hours. Wow! The electrician who came, Julio Bran, was efficient, knowledgeable, polite, and quick. He got everything done and saved me a lot of money. I couldn't ask for better service. read more

I recently had a "garbage disposal" replaced by Michael and Sons. My technician was "George". He was the most experienced professional plumber of the many that I have hired. After completing the work, I was highly impressed by his experience and care regarding shoe covering, materials, and cleaning. Before he came, I was ready to stop doing business with the company, but he renewed my confidence that the company has honest, expert, and professional technicians. I give George 5 plus stars. I had someone come out to replace my sump pump And the same day i stopped getting hot water. I called them back to ask them to come back out and check to make sure they didn't do anything during the installation that could have triggered a problem with the water heater that is right next to the sump pump in a small utility room in my basement. The guy came and told me that It was a flammable vapor sensor lockout problem and there was NO WAY the sump pump installation could have triggered it. After he left I googled it and according to the internet it appears that it could easily have triggered the lockout Especially if they are located in close proximity in a small area with limited ventilation Which it very much was. I get things go wrong but own up to your mistakes especially since it is simply a matter of resetting the water heater to fix the problem read more

I have been a gold HCA member with Michael and Sons for the past four years or so, and I highly recommend you become a gold HCA member. I had an issue with my plumbing in my home today in Northern Arlington where I was not having cold water flow through my upstairs bathroom. I immediately thought my pipes were frozen and I called Michael and Sons and they were able to send a plumber within the next hour or two. My plumber, Adam, was superb and quickly diagnosed the issue and was able to provide a quick fix to ensure my pipes did not burst. Thank again, Adam! read more

Hi its me again! We've had the system for two years and it has broken down four times. The heating system was installed winter 2023. The heating system stopped working winter 2024 and again exactly one year to the day in 2025. The AC died twice during the summer of 2024. We have contracted an outside company to repair and/or replace the system. read more
