The food is good, but honestly, would it kill the employees to answer the damn phone?! Skip the soups, yes, they have soup, even a couple of soups, but you will never know what soups they have because they don't. answer. the. phone. We ordered gyros, burgers, salads, fries, onion rings, and once we arrived to order and found out they had broccoli cheddar soup, we had to try that as well. All the food was tasty except, you guessed it, the soup!!! It was just okay. More like an orange colored gelatinous fluid with green pieces in it than an actual liquid with broccoli chunks. Make the trip, try it for yourself. Don't expect much interaction from the employees except a clean restaurant and good food. The food here is very good and the workers are quite pleasant and efficient. My "beef" is with the owner. Would it kill him to say "please" and "thank you?" And there is no way he can chalk it up to a bad day because I have been here several times and he is ALWAYS sullen and crabby. I used to love this place back in the 90s and early 2000s. Since it has come under new ownership, the customer service is mediocre. You're not greeted when you enter and can barely make an order before you're cut off mid-sentence. There was a cashier here who was excellent at customer service. Bring him back please. read more

The food here is really good! Michael's Beef House is exceptional! They have here so many delicious beef, it is so tasty, tender, and juicy. They also have hot dogs, burgers, and fries. All of it is really worth a try and has an affordable price. The bread they use is so fresh and new. The meats are flavorful and fresh. All of it was made to perfection and perfectly prepared. You all will absolutely love all of their food on the menu once you visit. This place never disappoints. They are so near, their location is very accessible, and easy to find. You can visit anytime you want. Their place is very convenient. This is my new favorite place to grab and order some quality comfort foods. Their food can really satisfy our cravings. They will also give us many reasons to go back and continue to love their place. Michael's Beef House has everything we need. Everything on their menu is pretty much good and better than other food of different stores around. I really enjoyed the whole place. I will definitely come back again. I have driven past Michaels many times and finally stopped in. The bread was fresh and the beef piled high. the hot gardenia could have had a bit more heat, but that is my taste. The french fries were partially cooked when I arrived (right at dinner time) and were given a dunk in the hot oil to the them up, but this resulted in some of the fries being way over cooked. Went up there for what I thought would be a beef sandwich I had been given a recommendation about, stocked up on a double cheeseburger for the next day, and an order of fries. Started eating the fries on the way home -- really good and super hot, so ate some more when I got home. Tried a bite of both sandwiches just to see how they were/would be... cheeseburger was some cheap ass frozen patties, very thin, disguised in a nice looking bun. Upon further inspection/going to eat half the beef sandwich a few hours later and cutting it open, in half, I discovered that it was 1/2 beef and 1/2 sausage combo, not what I ordered, and I don't eat sausage, so what a waste that was. This is not your typical Chicago beef & hot dog joint. The food is fantastic. I understand it went under new ownership a few years back and this place is now a real gem. The food is fresh, well thought out and made with care. I have had many items and all are outstanding. The Chicago-style hot dog is a work of art. Today We had the Grecian Chicken on a Pita and it was absolutely delicious with Tzaziki sauce. We've also had the Dijon Chicken Salad and the Greek Chicken Dinner, all extremely tasty. The fries are good too. Portions are generous. Prices are very reasonable. And I like that you can get fast food type stuff or a big, beautiul salad or an entree-type dinner depending on your mood. I grew up 2 blocks away and Michael's was part of my childhood. My mom is 90 now and in the same house. I am happy to report that Michael's is better than ever, and has been especially great for take-out during Covid-19. Thank you, Michael's! read more

I am going over the top to 5 star. I have now had several beefs, wet, with hot peppers. All very good. My benchmark is Johnnies, old loves die hard. Their beefs are pretty good. Why they get 5 stars: Beefs bigger than Johnnies, Can inside and eat, The fries are real fries hand cut, excellent. I use ketchup but they don't taste like they NEED ketchup. I've had about everything on the menu and have not left disappointed. From everything I would recommend the Grecian Chicken on Pita. Their hand cut fries are delicious and they load you up on an order. Not sure I ever finished a complete order of fries. Great seating area inside with old school light bulbs over the tables and a few TVs showing local news and sports. Only downside of this place is it is a little pricey for a lunch spot. Been to Michaels Beef since new owner took over 3 times in last 3 weeks. I started with a combo with sweet peppers. Fantastic! Chicago style hot dog done to perfection exactly how a Chicago style hot dog should be done. Fresh cut fries, yes please! Today I had the Greek salad with chicken, superb! I came by because of the high rating & because I really wanted to eat a burger. The first impression was good. I think this is the cleanest eating establishment I have ever seen. I as a customer look at cleanliness and this was so clean I felt really comfortable eating there. The burger was just the way I wanted and the fresh cut fries had potato skin on them just like I like them. The seasoning was also perfect on the burger as well as the fries. Honestly, I highly recommend this wonderful spot. This review is definitely long overdue. I have been to this place a lot of times and I always had a great time simply because the place is overall nice. It is a usual fats food place but kind of different in a way because it is always clean, the atmosphere and the vibe are good, the interior is nice and most of all the seats in here is so comfy! Their menu on the other hand is wide and there is various selection from burgers, sandwiches and other meals while the staffs are friendly and helpful. I already try many things on their menu and food is always good and not just good but it is also fair and reasonable and everything has a nice portion. I recently got their burgers and fries. They always served their food hot which is really nice. Their burger is juicy with a perfect portion of patty and fresh veggies which is what I could ever want on a burger and they serve handful of well-seasoned fries.
