My daughter took her 15 Honda Civic with low miles there and all of a sudden the next day the car starts overheating and getting warning lights on her dash. These guys drained her coolant in an attempt to have her come back and do a coolant service. Luckily I know about cars and I know her car was fine before she went there for an oil change. (AC) Now we have to go back during a weekday, waste work hours, to get the issue "handled" on Monday. Girlfriend took her car in for an oil change and tire rotation for 49.99. Get it back and they wouldnt rotate the tires due to excessive treadwear and balding and the technician Patrick says he can't because its against their policy. I ask to see policy and was told its not happening and to leave. Patrick then follows me out to the car as I pull out my depth and tire psi gauge. None of his annotated and signed off on data was correct as I did a video vehicle inspection myself to send to corporate. Also, the "service engine soon" indicator light was lit up, which I had prior knowledge of before the vehicle was taken in, however it was annotated that all of the dash indicators were fine. Also, washer fluid wasn't "filled" as stated it was on the inspection sheet. They did not inspect the cabin air filter because supposedly it doesn't have one which the vehicle does as i just changed it in november...my list goes on and i have a case number with corporate about this. I am pretty good about not complaining about vehicle issues because Im a former technician from Toyota, however i no longer am employed there and no longer a technician and am not allowed to work on cars in my apartment car parking so therefore I have to outsource. When i see things signed off on but not completed as a former technician, I'm going to blow the whistle because I was held accountable for everything i signed off on at Toyota. I believe this was all careless because my 7 month pregnant girlfriend took the vehicle in and was taken advantage of. Patrick is the technician and my corporate case number is 4176813. I have a video inspection of the items on paper not matching the vehicle inspection that actually occured or didn't occur for that matter but attached for now are just a few of the pictures. Way to take advantage of the pregnant woman Patrick! You should be proud! To summarize the pictures, all of the photos from the inspection sheet show what was signed off but either not done or wrong information. As for the technician notes and nothing being said about the "service engine soon" well luckily my girlfriend sort of knows her car stuff and what to look out for otherwise Patrick would have gone without regard...you should always and definitely try to upsell a service engine soon light or at least write it down so its documented. read more

These guys are complete scam artists and frauds. They installed sub standard pads that wore out in less than 120 days. A different Midas confirmed it. Then Concord wanted to charge us $150 for labor to fix their mistake because we noticed the brake pads wore out past 90 days. Total scam. I am not the most mechanically inclined person, but I am not a total idiot when it comes to cars either. I have a pretty good basic working knowledge....(i.e. can change oil, tires, brakes, etc.) but usually dont have the time or tools to do all the work myself. Had just finished changing my brakes and I need to get the fluid topped off in addition to needing an oil change, so I take my car down to this Midas for service. I explain very clearly, that I want them to top off all my fluids (also specifically asking them to put more windshield wiper fluid in there) and change the air filter. I explained this to them twice. Very clearly. Apparently the monkey's there dont speak english because they forget to top off radiator, brake, and wiper fluid, and didnt change my air filter, although they did try to charge me for it. I will never go to this service shop ever again....and will warn my friends off of this location. read more

I brought my car in and the manager diagnosed that I needed a new oil filter cover because mine was damaged. He didn't give me any crap about liability... I went there today for an oil change. Printed a coupon online ($20) and dropped in around 1:00pm. The guy there was really friendly and informative. I mean, it's an oil change...there's not much to it, but he gave me a rough time estimate. I had my macbook so 45 minutes was nothing to me. While my car was up, they noticed I have some alignment issues and instead of just telling me, they actually showed me what the deal was, and let me know it's something I could wait on instead of trying to sell me on it today. They also replaced my license plate light for free. I don't know. Maybe it's just a crap place for brake repair, but for an oil change I had no issue. Unless I can find something cheaper, I'll probably go back for the alignment too. read more

What a mistake coming here. The only good thing about this long wait is that I am sitting in the store I am reviewing. I made a 1030 appointment for an oil change and when I arrived on time the girl at the counter, Celeste, immediately said that it will be about 20 minutes before they can pull my car in. After I mention that I have an appointment she says "Oh" and proceeds to check me in. She says it will be about 25-30 minutes to complete my service. It is currently 1055 and my car is finally being pulled in to be worked on. So basically having an appointment doesn't really matter, they are going to move at a snails pace and help you when they are ready to do some actual work. Mind you I am only customer here, so god only knows whats keeping them busy from actually doing their jobs. In the words of Jerry Seinfeld, these people know how to take a reservation but don't know how to "hold" a reservation. read more

I guess this is the problem with a service like Yelp: The manager was over the top awesome. Took care of our AC problem for very cheap. A short time later her truck wouldn't start. Took it back due to the reasonable price for the AC. They spent 2 hrs with the truck and fixed the problem - a simple loose wire. I was prepared to pay 100-200 for the fix. I could believe when the mgr charged us only $20! I couldn't be more happy with these guys. We will be back for sure. The short Indian guy at the front desk gave me a quote for knock sensor for $600 out the door. I made an appointment that day and was late 5 minutes so he completely declined to take the car for service and just down the road from Midas another mechanic installed my knock sensor for $200 out the door. Made an online appointment for an oil change during my lunch hour. Stevie called me the morning of my appointment to confirm. When I arrived she ran out to my car to record it's mileage, etc., then she handled everything fast and professional. In addition to the oil change, the tech did a thorough inspection of the car, pointing out a burned-out tail light and some parts underneath that were leaking oil. It was very helpful that he pointed out these parts while the car was up on the racks, so I could clearly see what he was talking about. In and Out in about 30 minutes... Just enough time to walk across the street for a piece of pizza at Costco and walk back... I didn't even miss lunch! read more

I was in a rush for an oil-change and decided to give this location a try (especially since I noticed the bad review was for the WC location). George and team were busy so I had to leave my care with them. Cool since it was a last min. appointment on a Saturday. George was very friendly and cordial throughout the process. I picked up my car and George mentioned that my wiper blade and air filter needed to be replaced. No problem... that's the kinda stuff I can handle myself. Went in because of the check engine light, and the smell of something burning in the engine. Thinking it was the transmission fluid. But after the diagnostic test. It turns out it was the air intake, and partially tubing had melted. Crazy! Good thing they were able to get the part within an hour, and install it including an oil change. This Midas is far from your average shop. This Midas in concord is owned privately and is ran like a specialty shop rather than a chain store. I went to these guys with my brand new 2014 honda accord for a simple oil change. I was treated like royalty and they showed that they really care about my business and really wanted me to be happy by giving me an excellent experience. I've been to most other Midas' and by far these guys blow all of them out of the water!!! This place is trash, charged for a service that was never done. Asked for a brake flush and all I got was a brake reservoir fluid exchange. All they did was pull the fluid from the reservoir and charged $70! I asked why they never lifted the car up on the lift and never even cracked the bleeder valves on the calipers... " they said calipers don't have brake fluid in them..!!!ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!.., and that they bleed it all from the top..." I have never in my life seen a system bleed exclusively through the reservoir. She had the nerve to ask how do I know if they did it or not! Look at your cameras lady I went out front 8 times! Stood out there for 5-10 mins each time I would give no stars! And then the proceeded with their upsale of unless services, go to the one on north main in walnut creek. Very impressed with the service and honesty with Fabi and team at Midas. I had not had my brakes done in many, many years so expected a steep bill. When I returned to pickup my 4-Runner, Fabi informed me that he was able to find a different type of rotor and reduced bill by nearly $ 175.00. After additional discussion ,Fabi found that I actually purchased brake pads from another Midas over three years ago and had a lifetime warranty. That dropped bill another $75.00... I first go into midas with tire pressure light go in try get it fixed they then give me a bill of 1300 so i pay thinkn it will fix problem nope light still on and then check engine light comes on so i go back then they ask for another 500+! Because now its the sensors rotors and brakes i chose just get sensors another 200$ and take second opinion different shop told me rotors and brakes were fine because he was family friend and told me places like these lie especially to women to gauge them on price because i didnt know a thing bout cars and when i posted review to there website the just responded with we can explain but after goin back more than 4 different times problems were not fixed but made worse i got an oil change too and didnt even put service sticker for next time makes me doubt they even did oil change! I took my 2006 Honda to the Midas, Concord shop because it was having difficulty starting. The battery was new. The shop mechanic said it was the alternator. They replaced the alternator but after three days the car still had the same problem. I took the car back to them and the mechanic said something is drawing the power from the battery on startup. The mechanic had done the test on the battery, alternator and starter and said all three were good. I couldn't start the car yesterday and took the car to the Honda Service center. They informed me my starter is bad. The starter was bad, and the alternator may not have been bad. I have never had an alternator fail, but have had starters fail. When I took the car to Midas the starter was probably going bad. If Midas is not sure of the problem Midas should have given me options instead of telling me something on my car failed. Took my lincoln navigator here 5-6 times for the check engine light. They told me they fixed the problem but each time I picked up my truck the light came back throwing the same code out each time. Now they call and tell me they've got the engine light off but now the battery light is on and the alternator is bad because it's not charging the battery. The alternator is less than two years old, so they're just wanting more money because they ended up doing work at no charge for the engine light, on something they had already fixed.
