I go to this Midas branch at central snd bristol. For oil change .in past one time brak job. Albert and son very hardworking people however i will not take my european Car like bmw or mercedes for Ignitation coil or fuel injector repair because Parts appear aftermarket.I paid $1500 To midas for my wife BMW change of 2 ignation coil and one spark plug And one fuel injector and 2 air hose . After 1 month i got problem again And ask for replacing one of coil They put in was bad after market. He wanted $400 deposit even though I have pain my full bill. I am sorry Albert you lost a neighbor for good The way you treated me. I had my car to be repaired by another place and running ok. You lost my bussiness for ever. I finally answered today only to have him harrassment and rationalize his unprofessional practice and talk over me. Just learn from the bad review, accept I will take my business elsewhere and move on buddy. Super unprofessional here. Waited an hour and 1/2 for an oil change in an empty shop. When it's done no one says anything, they just leave my keys on the counter. I get up to pay and the Asian man who's running the front is in the back eating and actually tells me to wait a few minutes...cause this is his breakfast and lunch (at 445). I've made appointments that the location simply stated they wouldn't honor because the employee didn't want to do another job today. I showed up to my appointment to do an oil change at 5 pm which I validated the day prior. Which gave them an hour to do the work. These guys truly give the midas franchise owners a bad name. Avoid the Midas on Bristol/Central in Santa Ana: Brought the 4Runner in for a tune-up and got it back two hours later MISFIRING. Misfires are not only dangerous but can also ruin your catalytic converter (the thing that helps you pass smog) as well as shut down ALL cylinders, which would leave your engine completely useless, unless you wanted to use it as a f*****g ottoman. I told them to undo the tune-up (put the old wiring, cap, spark plugs etc back on) and give me a refund. I didn't know if that was going to fix it but at least I would get my cash back from these scammers. I just got it back and low and behold, IT RUNS PERFECTLY FINE. If a tune-up is done sloppily, it will absolutely cause your engine to misfire. The guy who owns this place, Albert, has scammer vibe all over him and I should have known better, but it's a five minute walk from where I live and Midas is somewhat of a big name, so I thought it would be fine. Maybe they thought they could take advantage of a girl, or maybe their mechanics are just THAT incompetent. Whatever the reason, save yourself some cash and go elsewhere. read more

Called this location since I was running an errand around the area. (I usually go to the Costa Mesa location on Newport Blvd) The person who picked up the phone was pleasant and said to bring it over he would have it ready by lunch time. I went over he asked if I had been to Midas, I said yes but not to the Santa Ana location so he had me write my name and information down I asked if the computer system was linked to other Midas because I wanted ask a couple of questions and he said no, he gave me a price I old him I had a coupon, and he said he didn't honor that kind of Midas coupon that I had received on my e mail, so I decided to call my usual Midas location they honored my coupon which included tire rotation and inspection gave me an additional student discount and was out within an hour or less. *plus the initial oil change was more expensive then what I usually pay. read more

Asain manager I think his name is Albert tried to tell me appointment at 10 its past 10 it take 45 minutes to do you need to come before 10. I said appointment at 10am and I showed up at 9:55. He made it sound like I needed to be there at 9am to have it done by 10am. He became very rude i put clipboard down and said f#ck you, he said it back several times in front of other customers and a child. Had I known a child was there I would have kept quit and walked out. I came here to try to get my left brake light changed and the man there stated I also needed the right brake light as well when I just had replaced that light two weeks ago and also I saw it was working. He was trying to charge me 30 dollars each light. When I know he was just overcharging me because I was a female who he thought didn't know anything about cars. Once I advised him that my right brake light was working and that he was overcharging me he just laughed and walked away. WORST SERVICE IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! I brought my car in, Albert and his team checks it out, get my brakes changed and he tells me about the warranty. I've been here twice to get my car serviced. The first time, I just needed a simple oil change, I had a coupon from Vons, so it was less expensive than their normal price (which isn't too bad). They did a fine job, no complaints. They were very friendly and helpful, I didn't wait long at all. They informed me that I my serpentine belt had a whole lot of cracks in it and that it needed to be replaced. I was very grateful, as that's not something I would ever think to check. My first time coming to this location was very impressive however, the next time I came here, it was for another oil change and I also needed my brakes checked. I was waiting for about twenty minutes before they even moved my car into the garage, which was not full when I pulled up. While they were checking my brakes, they pulled me aside, and showed me on my car all of the things that needed to be fixed (which, on my car, is not surprising) One of the things they told me was wrong, "a pole in my wheels" was loose. Being a woman, I'm sure the mechanic was clearly dumbing down the words 'tire rod' which I found kind of insulting. Anyway, When I got a second opinion, I was told my tire rod was not loose, I just need an alignment. The time between them bringing my car into the garage and them starting my oil change was about an hour and a half. After that, it took about another hour to change my oil. I was definitely not expecting to spend two and a half hours at midas. I would have given this location a two, however my first experience bumped it back up to a three. I'm fine with midas, so long as I'm only getting my oil changed there. read more

Came in for a new radiator on my 2001 Volvo. Mr. Albert Lim the site manager ordered the wrong part TWICE! Took them 5 days to replace it. They broke my Ferrari horse on the grill, got grease all over my hood, and left all my wiring exposed (when i brought it in the wiring was all covered properly). When I took it back to show Albert the problems all he wanted to do was argue with me and try to talk over me. When I asked Mr. Lim if he was the owner he said he was only the "manager." He later admited he IS the owner "but just doesn't like to say he's the owner." (wtf?) Why would he lie to my face like that? Is he the owner or not? Can't trust a word that come out of his mouth.
