Surprisingly my son was craving Korean food. We found this through Yelp! It was so close to home. You can easily miss this cause it's on the side of the Fremont Shopping center where there is less foot traffic. We ordered Galbi, Pollock roe soft tofu soup, and Deep fried dumplings. Also came with the usual banchan or side dishes. The kimchi was delicious. The food we ordered here was terrific. The service was great. The ambiance was filled with K-pop music video but not too loud, just perfect that you did not have to scream to talk. The dishes are a bit pricey but we'll worth it for the flavor and the experience. Will definitely be back again soon! read more

Every time we go to ChaChaGo next door for boba, there's always a group of halmeoni (grandma) or halabeoji (grandpa) coming out from a hot meal. If there's constant hoards of Korean halmeoni chatting it up outside, you know the food is going to be good. Really, this is why we decided to give this place a try. After months of mediocre Korean food from other places in Fremont, we finally decided to take the plunge. Here's what we ordered: 1) Seafood Pancake: 5/5 Just the right amount of crispiness without being too thick or soggy 2) Sizzling bulgogi: 3/5 Flavor was there but was a bit over cooked 3) Beef Soondubu: 4/5 Tofu was really good and soft. Great spot for some home style Korean food. I tried the beef soft tofu soup and the hot stone bibimbap. The soft tofu soup was tasty and comforting, it comes with an egg on the side. The pieces of beef weren't the best, some pieces were chewy and rubbery. The tofu was really soft and the soup had a good flavor. The hot stone bibimbap was good as well. The rice had the perfect amount of crispiness and I liked the flavor of the meat. The service was great. I asked if I could get my tofu soup with spicy oil on the side (since I'm scared of things being too spicy), and the worker was kind enough to tell me that it wouldn't taste good like that lol. We loved everything; the galbi was so tender and delicious, I ordered another dinner portion to take home. We really liked the banchan too! DAEBAK!! This hole-in-the-wall is a hidden gem! I was super impressed by how delicious and perfectly prepared the food was, and the servers were so friendly and provided phenomenal service. Definitely give the seafood pancake a try! Sooo fluffy and crispy, and the batter was cooked through just right. They also didn't skimp on the squid, and the dipping sauce was amazing. Beef short ribs were super tender and the flavor superb. The mushroom soft tofu was also fantastic. And the banchan.. so good!! You can definitely tell that it's homemade and it tastes so fresh and delicious. I couldn't stop eating the kimchi and pickled seaweed. We ordered Spicy Cold Buckwheat noodles, Ttoebboki, steamed eggs, and kimchi pancakes. To our surprise, it was the best pancakes we've ever had. It was super crispy and not too oily. I love this Korean spot. It is a small gem hidden in the plaza around Mowry and State. It was around noon when I visited. I ordered the bulgogi lunch special for a to-go. The portion was huge; it was good for 2-3 meals. The food was also excellent. The bulgogi was tender; it was marinated and seasoned perfectly. It also had some delicious banchan. The staff was friendly. Even though I was only ordering to-go, they were still attentive. Overall, I recommend this place. The lunch special prices are affordable, and they have great food options. Solid Korean restaurant located in a nondescript area in a strip mall. My friend whose daughter is a fan of Korean food told me about this place as I would have never known that this place existed. Sandwiched between other small businesses, this place was busy during lunch. I ordered my usual go to of bibimbap in a clay pot and it was so hot that I left the metal chopsticks on the wooden board that holds the clay pot for a short period and when I went to pick them up I almost burned my fingers due to the heat still emitting from the pot. Bibimbap was very good but even after mixing all the ingredients for a long period, it was still too hot to eat a spoonful. I've had this dish before but not nearly as hot as this place where I had to let my spoonfuls cook a bit in between. Keep in mind - hot in this review does not refer to the spice level. I regret not discovering this gem earlier! Tucked away in an unassuming corner of a larger grocery store plaza, this hole-in-the-wall restaurant proved to be a delightful find. Its unpretentious ambiance and genuine feel were matched by the quality of its food. Our servers promptly seated us and graciously accommodated our indecisiveness as my companions and I struggled to finalize our order. Eventually, we settled on the vegetable pancake, galbi, and japchae. The vegetable pancake was a savory delight, pleasantly surprising us with its lack of greasiness and its satisfyingly filling nature. The galbi arrived sizzling on a hot plate, and the generous portion was ample to satisfy our group. As for the japchae, it exceeded expectations--it was perhaps the best I've ever had! Clearly freshly prepared, it boasted a delightful freshness and lacked any hint of staleness. The noodles were tender, coated in flavorful oil and sauce. Unlike most japchaes, which often carry a leftover noodle taste, Miga's rendition was refreshingly absent of any such flavor. I certainly intend to order the japchae again and look forward to sampling the other meats and pancakes on future visits. Overall, I am eagerly anticipating my next visit. Food is solid 3.5 stars. Went here because I was craving for Kam Ja Tang (pork bone soup) and Miga is the one closest to my house. The soup of Kam Ja Tang was good but the pork was a bit tough. The portion was rather small for the price. We also ordered regular Bimbimbap with chicken. The vegetable was good but the chicken pieces were tough. And again, for $14, the portion was small. On the other visit, we ordered a combo of spicy pork bulgogi and beef tofu soup. The spicy pork bulgogi was good. The beef tofu soup was good enough but lack of depth in flavor. The only great thing was the varieties of banchan (side dishes) and they were delicious! Service was good and prompt. The waiter checked on us once to refill the tea. The location of this restaurant is a bit secluded. It is at the back of what used to be Rite Aid. There is ample parking nearby. read more

I came here for a team lunch on a weekday and it seemed pretty busy for dine-in and take-out. I ordered the tofu soup (mushroom) and bibimbap combo. Even though they were half portions of each, it was still quite a lot of food for little old me! The food was delicious. Service is no frills and food came out a bit slow. Miga is a new discovery for me even though it's been here this whole time. I've gone a handful of times now and food is always delicious. Galbi and seafood pancake on the hotstone plate is always good- mMm crispy bottoms and edges lol. Beef tofu soup also. I also loove their hot corn tea. Whenever I'm in the area Miga is a go to. It can get busy here so service may be slow at times but don't let that deter you because if you need more banchan or extra dipping sauce for the pancake they don't skimp out. To my preference this was not the best kimchi jjigae I've had . I felt that a bit of salt would have brought all the flavors together. The pork was in big chucks which made it a bit chewy. We also had the spicy chicken bibimbap but was a bit disappointed in how sweet the dish was since it was supposed to be spicy. I would say that the kimchi pancake was very good. Omg woke up this past Saturday craving a hot stone bowl and started searching Yelp for a decent place. I was fortunate enough to locate this place which totally met my food craving. First, I did have a little trouble finding the location, but my sense of direction can be off. After circling and using my navigation, I found it successfully. Cute little restaurant that was clean and staff were very welcoming. I was eating solo and originally was seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant, but after asking, the staff obliged and let me sit close to the door, which was very nice. I ordered the bibimbap spicy chicken hot stone bowl. I ordered a side fried egg as my bowl didn't come with it. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. I ate two rounds of the pickled side items cause they were that damn good. I was living my best foodie life until the end when I broke out sweating and felt extremely full - I slipped into a food coma. I believe I did too much eating and under estimated how spicy the bowl was - but will that stop me from coming back - hell no...lol. Dropped in with a friend the other day and although we have great Korean in Oakland, this place is on the list if I'm near Fremont. First, its clean, well lit and the staff is very friendly, greeted us promptly and got to business. We ordered the Bulgogi, Soon Dobu, and Seafood Pancake. Everything was great and the bahn chan was quick to come and no a problem for refills. Kimchee in particular was outstanding. I mean, I wanted to buy some for home outstanding. Not too hot, not too garlicky, had a great crunch....was not expecting this. Our seafood pancake was another winner. I've had many and the serving platter for this was iron and piping hot to keep the pancake warm and crisp. It was the right balance of seafood, veg and batter for me. Soon Dobu was on a rolling boil when it came to the table, Requisite raw egg ready to crack in. Ordered it spicy and for my the scoville units we right on. Could have taken it a bit hotter, but thats a personal preference thing. The tofu was creamy an perfect. Great dish on a cold day. Lastly, per my new thing the restroom was a 8/10. Both the Galbi Lunch Box Special and Mushroom Soft Tofu Soup were delicious. Only issue was it took a bit for order to be taken after we were seated but i don't blame them because there was only one server. Hidden hole-in-the-wall! Wow this place smelled amazing when we walked in (we dined in), and the food did not disappoint. Service is fast and friendly. They serve in paper & plastic bowls and there was a tv playing Korean food/comedy shows. The waiter was kind enough to point out everything that's vegetarian (lots of options!) on the menu. We've lived within a mile of this place for over 5 years now, and today was the first time we gave it a try. Service: super friendly! Although it was takeout only - due to the pandemic; from placing the order over the phone to picking it up - workers seem to be really friendly! Food: great flavor! Beef tofu soup was probably my favorite. Their banchan has a nice variety and compliments the food really well. Green onion pancake was pretty soggy. I wish they would change up the to-go packaging, because it was basically "mush" by the time we brought it home. Other than that, really impressed with the taste! Price: absolutely shocked. We ordered 2 entrees & 2 appetizers, and the total came out to almost $80! I understand this is a small business, so we definitely still left a tip.
