I am obsessed with the bean and cheese burritos from here. I judge every Mexican spot on their beans alone and the beans from here are legit. I make a trip here monthly from AZ to visit family and take home 4 burritos on my drive back. This is for today in the drive thru I don't know what was happening. The girl that took my order was great but once I got to the window and paid I was told to go park out front and they'd bring my food out. Shortly after I noticed everyone pulling up next to me (also waiting) had their drink orders I had ordered two sodas and didn't get mine. I had to wait a good amount of time before someone came out he only brought one drink. When I was told my order, my chicken quesadilla wasn't mentioned I had to ask and he said it was in the bag. I had to wait while for them to go to other cars. My drink finally came out without a straw. I had to ask for that. When I got home I realized my quesadilla was just a cheese, not sure what I was charged for because I was never given a receipt either. I'm hoping this was just a one off because I love Miguel's I'm a Corona kid and since moving to OC/Long Beach area I had missed it. I usually come for lunch since it's close to my job. They now installed door charms on both doors for some reason and it's annoying. Can't enjoy your meal with the music on and the charm ringing every 5 minutes. Trying to have a conversation person to person or on the phone with the charm going off. I had a Carnitas Quesadilla with the Serrano Salsa and a Carnitas Taco with green salsa. I definitely recommend you try the Carnitas because it is so mouth-watering good and you can put it in or on top of any other item! Cheese and green Chile tamales all dayyyyyy! I am obsessed with the cheese tamales! They are so good. I've had them at other locations- very good. They were just as good at this location! I think this is my favorite location for cheese tamales. They steam the masa perfectly! I gobbled those tamales down so fast! Delicious! I hit the drive-thru. Service was good. They were quick with it! I was in and out fast, and on my way. I had an appointment to get to, so the drive-thru was perfect. The food was hot and fresh. The Miguel's Trio which is a taco, burrito and lemonade for only 8 dollars is a very good deal especially with the quality. You get a choice between hard and soft shell and chicken and beef. I ended up getting the beef hard shell with the beans, rice and chicken burrito and chips and guac on the side. I personally enjoyed it. However I wasn't the biggest fan of the guacamole. Everything else was pretty good. It wasn't as busy in the dinner hours and service overall is good. I would definitely come back for the $8 deal again. read more

Have you ever been to Miguel's Jr.? I know a lot of my Yelp friends have. Been coming here for many years the first location was the Corona. Far drive but worth it, then boom boom boom they started expanding and opened them up all over Orange County. The excitement when that happened was real lol. Always get the El potato it comes with cheese and shredded beef which is amazing. The guac and chip's delicious, love how the chips are fresh. Ordered chicken tamales and a bean rice and cheese burrito. Loved it all, it was busy that day and lots of people in the drive through. I recommend this location it is clean, and the workers were really friendly and nice, the tables were not clean but it's ok. The food and service more than make up for it. For me, it was all about one thing, the Garbage Burrito. That was always my go-to, and I'm happy to say it still is. Nowadays, you can find Miguel's Jr. in more locations, and I have to say the quality, the flavor, the freshness, it's all still there. The Garbage Burrito is loaded with slow-cooked refried beans, Spanish rice, cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, fresh guacamole, and sour cream. I always get it with their chile verde pork, which is super tender and full of flavor. The burrito is big, packed full, and leaves me totally satisfied every time. I added their red hot sauce on top in one of the photos, and it gives it just the right amount of heat. Miguel's Jr. isn't just another fast food place. The food tastes homemade, fresh, and authentic. Whether it's your first time or you've been going for years like I have, you can tell they put care into every bite. While vehicle shopping and working in the area I seen this place- I've often seen other locations but never stopped- today I did and let me tell you- From the courtesy order taker in drive through to the cashier- they were so polite, respectful, friendly and made me feel welcomed. The first bite of that burrito was delicious! Tortilla was soft and meat and potatoes were savory and cooked just right - guacamole had a kick but was fresh! The amount of money that is charged for a tostada with a lot of lettuce and no protein is ridiculous! My husband ordered a tostada with no beans, no shell and add rice. He didn't get any choice of protein. Miguel's has always asked what protein would you like but they didn't this time. The cost for a small spoonful of rice and lots of lettuce and sprinkle of cheese was $5.39 plus a $1.00 for rice. Miguel's lost me as a customer. Miguel's Jr is located on Tustin Ave near Katella. It's easy to locate and access. Parking is tricky but plentiful. For convenience, I went to the drive thru today. Two menu boards are up, place your order at the second one. Ordering was easy and the speakers were clear and at a good volume. I was intrigued by the relleno burrito, so I ordered that and a crispy beef taco. Since they were promoting their seasonal pumpkin horchata, I got one of those, too. The burrito is filled with a smallish chile relleno, beans, rice, and cheese. I had higher hopes for this. It was good, but not necessarily crave-worthy. The taco was nice and crispy and the beef was juicy and tender. My favorite of the 2. The pumpkin horchata was like drinking dessert. Very tasty! Not much to say about the ambiance since it WAS drive thru, but I will mention that it was clean and well maintained. The menu boards are modern and easy to figure out and the drive up counter was also modern and clean. The employees I interacted with both at the speaker and at the window were all friendly and efficient. I will say, tho, that the wait in the drive thru was longer than most I've gone through, so keep that in mind if you're in a time crunch. I visited Miguel JR in the OC (Tustin St. location). While the place advertises itself as Mexican cuisine, I wouldn't exactly call it fully authentic. Traditional Mexican spots usually use white cotija cheese, but here it's mostly yellow cheese, beans, and not much asada in the burrito. That said, the asada was flavorful, on the salty side. The staff was friendly and pleasant, which made the experience enjoyable. Overall, it's a solid spot for a quick drive-thru meal when you're on the go. For fast Mexican food I thought it was solid. My 1st trying a Miguel's Jr as I'm not a California native. Work trip to Irvine brought me to the area and I wanted to try this place for their shredded beef tacos. It was delicious and I prefer that over the carne asada street taco. Definitely they give plenty of red sauce which was a great compliment to the meal. I also got the enchilada meal with a taco, a side carne asada street taco, and chips and chunky guacamole. Guess I'm not the only one now that I'm seeing a 3.1 rating for this restaurant. I've been coming to Miguel's Jr and regular Miguel's for over 20 years. The store just screwed up my entire order. I drive 15 minutes home. Call them about it and then have to press them for any compensation and they come up with 30% off my next order when they've completely wasted my time and ruined this order already. I'm gonna dispute discharge with my credit card company plus file a complaint with Miguel's Corporate as well, but beware the quality and attitude of service at this location which again is reflected in their yelp rating of only three stars. read more

This is fast casual period. 30 minutes for 2 tacos, a burrito and posole is way too long. I'm a long standing customer of the HB and Tustin location. Never again Orange, your urgency sucks. Stopped by a couple hours ago in Orange. They had a special with taco, bean and cheese burrito and lemonade for $8.00. It was incredible. The food was delicious and the chicken taco was stuffed. This was one of the best Mexican meals I've had in a while and it was less than $10.00. The manager was also incredible being cordial, helpful and refilling the lemonade. Thank you Miguels! This place is good overall-- food comes in huge portions and comparing here to cheaper places (Del Taco/Taco Bell) or sit down restaurants doesn't work too well because it tastes better than most restaurants and serving portions are larger than other drive thru/diner restaurants. I came during COVID and it was extremely disappointing-- smaller portions, food that sat waiting to be served for hours served as though fresh, and upper prices. Thankfully they're more back to how it was prior to COVID-- ok service, good food, and fair prices with some deals to get people coming back. The negative is that they kept the salsa bar closed and it doesn't look like that'll ever change. That being said they should really fix the salsa issue. If you ask for salsa you'll get a whopping 1 oz of salsa per container, which is way too little and requires multiple salsas. You also have to know precisely how many you want to use or you have to keep going up to ask for more, and if you don't ask the cashiers don't ask half the time so you get nothing. Overall ambiance is fine-- feels great when the weather is 100 degrees like today. Still a great place to go when hungry and wanting a meal that will fill you up most of the day. read more
