Was not sure what to expect so we went in and looked at the menu. There were not a ton of items on the menu but I think a good way to gauge how good a Mexican restaurant is is to go simple. I tried a beef hard shell taco and a bean and cheese burrito. Both were awesome! Tons of flavor in the beef taco and the bean and cheese burrito was excellent. One of us had the Chile verde plate and it was excellent. The staff that worked here were very nice and very friendly. This place is awesome and I highly recommend it! read more

Food is good, bit dry but customer service is not very good. Staff was made aware by my boyfriend that I was in the bathroom without toilet paper in my stall and staff did not help. Matter of fact the employee sent to help me did not do so at all because she was instead chatting with someone excitedly and left with them. No one wishes to spend 20 minutes in a restaurant bathroom waiting for staff to bring toilet paper after taking a shit in the toilet they didn't restock. As if that's not bad enough, the staff gets mad at my boyfriend for coming to help after they failed to, staff was not willing to understand why a man entered the women's bathroom to help his girlfriend whom staff failed to help, they didn't even let him speak or explain himself and we left just nodding at whatever the lady said she clearly didn't understand or want to understand and I pray future people don't experience this. Hoping my review helps this restaurant keep track of these things and If their employees are actually doing there job. It also doesn't help my review that the food was dry and not as tasty as other Miguel's restaurants. Please do better read more

Man, I have always loved Miguel juniors and always had good things to say about the franchise. Unfortunately, I hyped this up and even said they are offering a taquito in the burrito to my wife (I have only seen this at a Mexican restaurant in my party days at SDSU)! Sadly, both burritos came with "0" taquitos. So it was a let down for both her and I. I hope the owner sees this and finds a solution for inaccuracy of the online orders. read more

Took over 40 min to get my food from the drive thru today, to which they completely missed an item. Had to charge me and I had to wait longer. Once I got home, my burrito had beans in it and that should not have been the case. The girl who took my order read it back and said "no beans" so I know she heard me. Arrived before 11am ordered a burrito & taco I was the only one at the window waited 10 minutes the stupid girl had my order in her hand but kept taking orders I watched 2 cars pull up behind me while she's standing there holding my food & she knows I'm watching her she did it on purpose finally got my food the rice in the burrito was hard like it wasn't cooked the burrito wrapping was so greasy. Portions are so much smaller too. I remember their burritos used to be huge! Not anymore. All around a bad experience I won't ever go back. I find the quality of fast food places in orange below standards compared to the same chain located in Tustin or Santa Ana. Either way Miguel's won't be getting any more of my hard earned $$$$. Miquel's Jr. is on the higher end of fast food restaurants and I typically eat there once a week...highly recommended. However, this review is targeted at Corporate ownership. For years I have been asking for "Beef" taquitos and finally, you have included them in your menu...thank you! Here's the rub, the manager explained to me that you only include "ONE OUNCE" of guacamole for 3 taquitos, that is RIDICULOUS. I have never been to any Mexican restaurant that has been so frugal with the portion of guacamole on taquitos...please don't be so cheap. It affects your reputation. read more

I had the chile verde carne plate, with rice and beans. The chile verde was grilled and tender on the inside. Rice and beans were delicious. Also the Horchata was homemade, with the rice at the bottom. I recommend Miguels to anyone who needs a quick fix of Mexican food as a staple go-to place. I thought I'd give them another try, they forgot every salsa I ordered and I even included a note through grub hub, "please don't forget salsa because it happens a lot". So I called and talked to a cherie or cherry, not sure, she said she was the manager. She blamed the Grubhub driver for not checking the order. I asked how can he check a sealed bag? Water down sauces with no flavor and food was bland as well. Underwhelmed with the burritos or the enchiladas. The rice and beans were very dry and some undercooked and not stirred thoroughly. Hmm my first time here and I always pass by this spot I decided to give it a try. It was okay. If u like the Chipotle type mexican food, give this spot a try. They do not have carne asada fries here which was what I was looking for. So then I settled and ordered an all meat carne asada burrito w/cilantro, onion, , guac, and green sauce. (I don't mind paying extra ) Needless to say I'm not surprised they got my order wrong. They added beans and cheese for no reason and there was barely any asada. What a mess. We ordered dinner from Grub Hub at 6:30. We got a message from grub hub telling us no one was at the restaurant to give them the order, so they passed our order onto another driver, delaying our order. A little after 8 our order finally arrived, an hour and a half later. Of course, they put meat on the nachos when we ordered NO MEAT. I already had a migraine and the smell of the meat made me sicker than I already was. Thanks for a horrible night. read more

I had the best experience today at Miguel's. I had a Drive-thru order with specific requests from my family. As I was ordering, I had to change the order a few times....its was a little confusing. There was confusion on my end but the person taking my order was SO NICE, PACIENTE, and VERY HELPFUL. Been to the Miguel's restaurant in Corona and had been wanting to try the Miguel's jr location. Saw one in Orange so we said let's try it out. We had our dogs with us so we needed patio dining. They had that and they are dog friendly. Inside was neat and the customer service was good, no issues there. I ordered the two taco Carne Asada combo and the wife had the shredded chicken taco salad. Food came up pretty quick. My Carne Asada was delicious and very tender. The shredded chicken taco salad was my wife's and she said it was tasteless and just meh....without salsa and dressing it didn't have any flavor. All in all nice spot for a quick lunch. And they are dog friendly. Well be back again. read more

Located on Tustin near Katella in Orange, across the street from the Chase bank sits this fishbowl style mexican joint with a drive thru. Its a fishbowl because its completly windows all the way around, and those in the drive thru will be able to see you and watch you eat. The drive thru is extra long to accommodate the vehicles that flock their way here. Came here with Fiona...AKA my little Australian heeler/dingo mix, so we opted to go through the drive thru. There is patio seating outside, but its right in front of the drive thru. The beast already ate, so he gave me $$$ to buy myself dinner. For just over $6.00 I ordered the carne asada street tacos and a bean and cheese burrito. With a quick text to the digits posted on a stand alone sign I was able to score myself a free drink. Service thru the drive thru was fast and friendly. The line was about 8 cars deep but we zoomed right thru. Staff quickly filled the orders and sent the cars off. Carne Asada tacos just were okay. They were small white corn tortillas filled with a few big pieces of carne asada, then topped with onion and cilantro mix. I added mild hot sauce. They were gone quickly, and I was still hungry. The bean and cheese burrito consisted of a large tortilla stuffed with at least a cup and a half to 2 cups of beans and a little bit of cheese. The first bite was all tortilla. Then I bit into the beans. My the third bite I saw some cheese and a lot of oil. Im not a buge bean fan, because of the texture. These beans were extra mushy. So if your afraid of beans, this may not be the best option. I think I would enjoy it more if they served up bean like taquitos, nice and skinny fried bean burritos. The free drink was a pleasant bonus. The ice inside it was perfect on a hot summer night. To me, ice makes a drink better. Here, they do ice right. However, the attendant at the window told me to deleate the free drink code, then show her. I guess they want to make sure you dont use it twice. For me I am not convinced yet. They have great authentic Mexican food here it's just as good as the original one is corona . The food quality is great they have all natural meat and ingredients the food taste great !! The staff here is always very friendly and helpful they provide great customer service here . They also give fast service both when you dine in and through the drive thru . The location is also very nice its very clean on the inside and out side . They have a good amount of seating both inside and outside . So... this is my 3rd review in, I believe, a year and a half. This time around, I been having an amazing experience every time I come in. I been coming here about every 2-3 days. Things have gotten so much better since my other reviews. Customer service has been beyond amazing! The staff is very personable and kind. They actually know my usual order when I pull up which will make anyone feel special. They have not messed up my order at all. I believe they got a new staff since my last review. Food is always amazing and fulfilling and the ambiance is very laid back. I'm not sure if Steven is a manager or not but every single encounter with him is always a pleasure. Threatened to wrongfully call the police!!! I come here all the time. All the time I visited Miguels Jr in Orange, CA a few months ago before the pandemic & before everything closed & my 4 crispy tacos were brunt to a crisp. When I called in to talk to the manager I was given a lady named Alejandra. She told me they could give me a credit & took down my name & told me she would put it in the RED BOOK & Alejandra reassured me it would be in there. I saved it in my phone as she told me I did not need to bring the receipt. I went to order my order & told them what Alejandra told me & they took my order & told me to come to the window. I ordered that and a ton of food for my family like I always do and had my credit card out to pay. When I got to the window a lady named Maria came & told me she didn't see my name anywhere. I told her it's spelled different & spelled it CYNARA....Maria said I know how to spell it. Then told me she did not see it & that there was an Alejandra there which she pointed to & said sometimes people don't have authority. I asked for the Manager & Maria threatened to call the police on me. I sat there with my credit card in hand as she threatened me with police action. MY son got it on camera. I have been going to Miguel's since the late 70's when the only Miguel's was in Corona. My Mom and Dad (who were great cooks) and I loved the chili verde burrito and the hot sauce. Today I visited the Miguel's in Orange on Tustin ave. I was very disappointed in their Chile Verde Burrito. I always order mine with no beans, rice or cheese. I got home and the pork was full of fat. I had to eat it with a fork and knife to avoid the fat after the first mouthful. Also the employees bagging the food were also taking the walk in orders, ringing up the purchases and giving change back. Then he employee walked over and bagged the food with no gloves on and put the salsa in the bag. With this corona virus, the restaurants I have been ordering food from have been very conscientious in the packing of the food even if it has been wrapped up by putting on clean gloves before they touch the food.
