I placed an order through Uber eats and when it was supposed to arrive I check my phone and see the order is canceled by the store. I'm confused because I don't know if the food is on its way or what happened so call it in and ask if they got the order. They say no, but on my phone there was about a 20 minute gap between ordering and when the order was canceled. I ask what happened and the person on the phone is giving me that, "this is your problem not a me problem" thing and he's asking for the order number but on the app it's saying there's no receipt there isn't an order number because it was canceled all I can see is a time it's canceled. This is adding to my frustration. The person on the phone says this has been happening and that's it's an Uber eats issue but there's no one for me to talk to through Uber eats and this person claiming he's the manager has no solution for me. I'm mad, this means no dinner. I can tell the person on the line doesn't care. At this point he could have taken my order through the phone or asked me to reorder through the app and he'd expedite it but we just argue. I figure there's no point in talking to this person and ask for the store owner this technically violates CA state law and more than anything I want to understand why my order was canceled and what can be done about this. The manager insists they never got the order and that's it's the apps fault. My actions from here might lead to legal action against the store owner personally, but for sure I will not be returning. I ordered here at least twice a month for the last 4-5 years and this is the first time this has happened. Attached is a picture Uber eats sent me. Who's lying? Uber eats or Miguel Jr? I can see it was canceled by the store. I was in the mood for tacos. I really wanted some basic, yummy, tacos. Miguel's Jr in Orange had the goods! It was Friday evening just after sunset when we drove through. The line was a bit long but it was faster than it looked. My order was two shredded beef taco's and because I was really hungry, I also ordered a shredded beef quesadilla. The tacos were perfect. A good helping of tender shredded beef exploding with flavor, lettuce and topped with a good amount of cheese is a crispy tender folded tortilla shell. These tacos were completely filled and seems larger than my last visit here over 5 years ago when I had a poor experience. The defiantly fixed the issues I had from then. After two tacos I wanted another but only had my quesadilla left. Well it too was packed with tasty shredded beef. Every bite had a mouthful of beef and an ideal layer of melted cheese in-between two flour tortillas. On a Friday night dinner rush, Miguel's delivered the best food they could. We were eating on the drive home because we live a ways away and we were not half way home when we were already discussing coming back Saturday for lunch. Yes the prices are premium compared to similar fast foods like Taco Bell and Del Taco but the flavor, amount of food and quality of the food is worth the money. I will be back. I live in Santa Ana a historical district so it takes me about 20 minutes to get to Miguel's Junior. Well I called first and I asked them if they still have the two burritos for $10 that was Wednesday night and I when I talked to the lady I called and she said yes I get there and I want the two burritos for 10 bucks meat burritos and she said that offers expired and I said well I called. I drove all the way down here 20 minutes. Just an average fast food experience. Carnitas was good, rice was a bit undercooked and the beans were way to salty. Quesadilla was to oily to enjoy. Carne Asada under seasoned and bland. Don't mean to bash them but their flavor profile is bland. Grubhub Delivery was quick and order was accurate. One excellent point to make was their packaging. Lately when I got through the drive through and take it home I've been disappointed I decided to dine in today.... My last two orders had missing items, tonight when I got home I had two, not three, tacos. The carne asada had a good charbroiled flavor but the main reason for the salad was to get fresh veggies in my meal... and the ice berg lettuce must have came from a bag as it tasted like it was thawed out and was welted and soggy....I could not continue eating this salad.... This place has a good menu, different from other Mexican restaurants. I had their Chile relleno burrito (wet style) and it was delicious, the relleno was big so the burrito was big, I would say that they need to add more cheese inside the burrito. My husband ordered a bean and cheese burrito (grilled) and he enjoyed it, also a big burrito. We also had an Original burrito with carne asada and we were disappointed that the meat wasn't chopped up and spread through the burrito, it was just one big chewy piece at the end; it also had mostly a lot of rice. I also ordered large chips and guacamole- huge portion of chips and guacamole, and good. Their red salsa was okay, too watery though with not a lot of flavor. I have tried their El Potato burrito and definitely recommend it! Their coffeechata is yummy. Their fountain soda taste good. Staff there is nice. Okay, so no one should love Miguel's as much as I do, I'll go ahead and confess. But when you need a greasy fast foody taqueria chain, Miguel Jr's hits the spot! I love the shredded beef tacos more than one should. And I also love the bean & cheese burritos, so yummy. I will need to try the chile relleno burrito next! Drive-thru is super convenient, and the only way I have ordered. The inside looks cute and clean though from what I could tell from the drive-thru line. It's so disappointing to see so many negative reviews for this place. Miguel's Jr is one of our favorite fast food restaurants! The food is always fresh, hot, and absolutely hits the spot every time. The staff is friendly as well. Some of our favorites are the el potato burrito, the original burrito, and the crispy shredded beef tacos. Update: Miguel's very promptly and nicely responded to my review, which I appreciated. They must have had an off day the last time. I'll give them another try as they do seem to be conscientious and dedicated to providing good food. I ordered taquitos ala carte with a side of rice ($1.53) and avocado ($1.69). The taquitos were all right but the rice was too salty and the portion size of avocado was pathetic. I should have just ordered the taquitos by themselves. I also had an unsweetened iced tea. Although the tacos were good the shell was not exactly a hard shell and wasnt crispy whatsoever. It looked and tasted like a soft tortilla that was dumped in the oil for a few seconds. A hard shell taco shouldnt make you squeeze it to retain its shape. Maybe just a bad day for the chef but with so many taco shops out there they cant afford to screw up. read more

When this location first opened, it was pretty amazing. Since then, the quality has noticeably ... slipped. The employee training is questionable. The food isn't the same every time I go in there. I don't usually go here, because on a scale of "hit or miss" it's on the "miss" side far too often. Take today, for instance. I wanted a chicken garbage burrito, a quesadilla, and their absolutely amazing cilantro house dressing. That, unfortunately, isn't what I got when I went through their drive-thru. The person taking my order was ... well, special. I asked for a chicken garbage burrito, to which she replied "CHICKEN garbage burrito? Chicken?" To which I responded yes. Then she said "chicken?" again ... like I had asked for them to put gummy bears on my burrito. So I switched my protein to carne asada with extra cheese. "You want five salsas?" she asked. "No, extra cheese," I responded. "Okay. Is that all?" "No, I'd like a quesadilla, too." "Two quesadillas?" "No, just one." "Okay. Do you want any salsa?" "Yes," I said. "Four cilantro house dressings." "You want gree sauce?" "No, the cilantro dressing." "Okay, please pull forward." I get to the window, and the girl says "We only have ranch." I said "no, I want the cilantro house dressing." "You want red sauce?" "No," I want the cilantro dressing." "So you want ranch?" "No," I repeated. "The cilantro dressing, not ranch dressing." "We have never had that," she said. "We only have ranch." At this point, I'm done. "Fine, I'll take the ranch dressing." She takes my money, and says she'll be back. I get my burrito, my quesadilla, and the ranch dressing. What the hell do I want ranch dressing for? The burrito is not particularly good. The carne asade - that I paid quite a bit extra for - is stringy, chock full o' gristle, and grey. I didn't know that grey was a meat color. But, on a positive note, it's really, REALLY chewy; y'know, like gum. And there's no extra cheese. The ranch ... nope, that's no what they've "always had." I've eaten here before. I know they have the cilantro house dressing. Their website even mentions their house dressing repeatedly. REPEATEDLY! The quesadilla was interesting. I though they were supposed to come with melted cheese, not just SOME melted cheese and the rest ... not so much. Look, I'm perfectly willing to give the places that deliver subpar food and service more than one chance. This place has proven that Miguels Jr doesn't care about their customer. I'd recommend finding any other place to get your Mexican food fix. This place is terrible. read more

Some days, I'll go and order a garbage burrito with pork and green sauce and they'll make it and it'll be good. Then, the next day, I will be told they Miguel's Jr has never sold garbage burritos with green sauce. Another day, I'll be told Miguel's Jr has never ever even had green sauce. so ive never been here before. the drive thru had 3 cars in it. took like 25 minutes. gee isnt this supposed to be fast food?i decide on the crispy cheese tacos. so its basically its like burnt hard cheese in "carne asada" the carne asada tasted like briskit or something. taco temperature was very hott. they need to check food temperatures. i got 3 tacos, cheese quesadilla, and drink. $21. way overpriced for "fast food". food was satisfying for my hunger but not great. menu is small which i wasnt a huge fan of. service was crappy. this place reminds me of like el pollo loco. the strawberry lemonade was good. its a step up from taco bell. read more
