What has happened to the food quality at Miguel's Jr.?!!! I ordered chips and guacamole and was served stale chips and WATERED DOWN avocado cream goop. Hubby's shredded beef tacos were COLD and consisted of soggy, flavorless, beige colored, meat that we assume was beef. It was disgusting!! The chicken quesadilla had an insubstantial amount of chicken... took a bite or two to even taste the chicken! The salsas were also watered down. I love this place. It's my favorite Miguel's Jr. been going for ten years. A young guy with glasses, started working there gives great customer service. I usually order the same wet bean and cheese with chicken burrito. Yum! My only complaint is it does get packed, but the lines go by fast. read more

It has been 10 years since I bought food at Miguel's Jr. I used to eat at the one in Corona/Norco. Made to order burritos, I loved their food. Fast forward 10 years. I went to the Miguel's at the Tyler Mall, and much to my surprise and delight, it tasted EXACTLY as I remember the way it tasted 10 years ago. Just came from your store 35 minutes ago, I ordered a chile verde pork burrito & 1and1/2 quarts of refried beans. What I received was 1 and quarter quarts of beans, I also asked for a chile verde pork burrito what I got was a red sauce pork burrito which i can say does not taste all that good. Bought a garbage burrito with steak meat. As I bit into it, a large glob of meat went into my mouth but it was so large that I had to pull it out and set it aside. I kept biting into the burrito and then it was evident that large chunks of meat had been cooked (on the outside) but that the meat was not properly cooked as the outside strips were cooked and the inside ones were completely raw. This is the first location I've been to and it tasted quite good! It's a sit-down place at the Galleria at Tyler Mall in Riverside. There's a good-size menu too. From what I recall, they give you an OK size portion of food. No complaints! read more

I was craving a bean and cheese burrito. I had the misfortune of being at the Tyler Galleria. I decided to go in and order a bean and cheese burrito and a drink. The service was OK, buy the stinginess of this place wasboff the chart. I've been to other Miguel's, and it's not bad. The portions seem to be fair. They are a little pricey. This particular location, however, made the burrito about half the size. The huge tortilla and tiny amount of beans made it look awkward. I asked if this was normal. They said it was. Very disappointed, we are a fan of Miguels, thought this spot in the mall would have good quantity and portions like the original Miguels but I was mistaken. I love Miguel's Jr food at the Renaissance location. I have purchased food a numerous amount of times and I am always more then satisfied with the food. The hard shell tacos I order are very crispy, full of juicy shredded beef, with plenty of cheese, and lettuce. I also love the chili relleno plate or burrito. The chili is mild , and tasty. The sauce they put on the relleno plate is so good and tasty. The rice and beans are cooked exactly how I like them. I don't have anything negative to say about this place. I used to love this place. But on my visit today there were two things that knocked them down. First they raised their prices. Not a big deal if the food is outstanding. But, this Brings us to number two. The food was waaaay below average. Pretty sure they started using a microwave because I couldn't cut through a cheese enchilada. Same with the taco. Our favorites are A Bean & cheese burritos B Chile burrito( green chile rellano inside a bean & cheese with rice) very filling. Visited the location inside the Tyler Galleria; Food was OK, service was terrible. Manager on duty didn't look like she wanted to be there, she was salty and had a sour face. Prob one of the best place to eat when you are in the mall, but not the bestest compare to other Mexican food restaurants. I had the shredded beef burrito along with salsa sauces offered on the side. Burrito had a lot of rice, or at least it felt a lot. It made my lunch a little unpleasant because I couldn't taste any meat :( on top of that their salsa sauces weren't the best or something I would like to get again. I'm a salsa fan, but those were just a no no for me. But hey if you enjoy sour, then go for it. I think there are other Miguel's, but I only go to this one. I have been here several times, the 'FAM' lives in Riverside. I usually get one of the combo plates. I went Saturday and got the cheese enchilada, shredded beef taco, rice and beans. There is something about the taste of the food here.. the taco has that certain mexican food taste that I love and I don 't know what it is, and most places don't have it. The same for the beans, its probably lard. This places is usually crowded. Its not like a regular restaurant, it is a sit down place, but like Rubio's or something. They have a salsa bar, there is one salsa that is kind of yellow-ish.. YUM. I liked it. No indegestion from the pregnant gut and I don't feel it was pricey. read more

I've been here 3 times - the first time my high school aged son asked if we could eat lunch here stating he'd been here with friends and it was good. Having NEVER eaten at any Miguel Jr before I went in with an open mind. I'm a person of habit when it comes to ordering Mexican food and I got my standard - a burrito with beef (can't go wrong right?) and I have to say the beef was tasty. I enjoyed it & figured all was well. Until a few hours later - but I'll get back to that. I went again a few weeks later as we were shopping for Christmas and stopped in for lunch. I had the same and again it was tasty and I thought all was well until a few hours later....and I was reminded of my previous visit and the aftermath. Notice a pattern? I went again last week and tried something different - the taco salad - with shredded beef. It was good but a few hours later I was sooo sick. And this is when I finally started to connect the dots. Every time I went with my family I was the only one to eat the shredded beef and EVERY time I did I was stuck in the rest room a few hours later with horrible stomach issues. I won't eat there again. My stomach is not typically sensitive but I'm not going to test the theory again. Who knows what the issue is but unfortunately their shredded beef causes a riot within me so no more eating here for me! Why did I go that third time? My kids and hubby like it. They have never had a problem there and I really didn't think too much of it until the 'after' and then I'd remember the previous visit. I've learned my lesson! read more

There are a lot of places that claim to have the best Garbage Burritos (Rosa Maria's) hhhmmm hmmm. Lol but Miguel's Jr. holds the title in my book. All of there food has so much flavor. Their Carne Asada taste like its fresh of the BBQ., the shredded beef is so juicy, and the green salsa is amazing. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat!!! read more
