This was my first time eating here and I was so pleased with the variety of food items I ordered to get a taste of some of there menu items . I finally got to try this place. The new location located at 529 in Cypress. This first time I stopped by as I walked up to the door there was a really stinky sewage smell that I could not get past, turned around and left. Fast forward about 2 months later, last night my husband came home with fried shrimp and crab legs. I assumed he went to a spot located at the corner but a few minutes into eating he said it was Mike's. I have to admit it was pretty darn good the fried shrimp were perfectly battered, and the crawfish rice, they must really clean the crawfish good because you can not smell that fishy smell crawfish rice usually has! everything here is amazing. i've ordered the fresh catch before, the gumbo and bbq wings and crawfish. pictured in the review is the red fish with white rice and fries, salmon with fried rice and a side of veggies and the delicious oysters. oysters take a little longer to come out but they let you know ahead of time. the manager-jay is hands on and so polite and has great customer service. the serving portions are really great. the crawfish is seasoned so well and tastes amazing. even the burgers and chicken sandwhich are nothing short of delicious. Soooo i spent a bit here after reading the reviews and even looked at a celebrity on a YT channel talk about this place. I tried it and the shrimp broil was bland and wasn't really spicy. The boudain balls were also bland but did have onions in it but it wasn't enough to bring out the flavor. The popcorn shrimp is ok... the ones I saw on yelp were bigger and mine are smaller but its ok. The best part was the wings I got just to try out but there not better than wingstop. But if i was going to make a drive, i wanted it to be worth it. I came across Mikes Seafood on Yelp and looked at the reviews. Needless to say i was not disappointed!! Food was prepared pretty quick and it was really good!! There was enough seating in the building for over 25 people. The staff was able to give recommendations on the types of food I prefer (cajun, shrimp and crab). This was my first visit to Mike's at the new location. My last one was at their old location right up the street. This seems to be a bigger location then the previous one. I went to order lunch for pickup. I suggest that if you want a to go order that you should call it in that will reduce your wait time. I had a longer wait since I didn't do so. The food portions are large and it was seasoned well. They have a wide variety if seafood on their menu you to enjoy. I will need to visit more to try a few other items. read more

I went here last night and spent by accident 170.00 in food. It was worth every dollar spent. I loved the crab legs and how meaty they were. I don't eat mussels but these I did as well as the oysters. I loved the fried rice ( the sausage was a lot but I'm sure someone would appreciate that). We are still eating left overs this morning. My only recommendation is to not order through chow now. Idk what happened but with 170.00 on the line and not eating the whole day. It almost made us want to give up on trying them. Yesss! Mike's for the win! We came on a Saturday afternoon in search of good crawfish & got just that! Parking is pretty easy as they have a private lot. Upon entering you place your order (food & drink) at the counter, pay, get a number & grab your food after your number is called. Had I not viewed the menu I would've thought crawfish & boiled seafood was all they served since that's written on a big colorful board behind the cashier. I ordered 2 lbs of crawfish, 1 potato, 1 corn & a drink. The only flavor for crawfish is butter garlic & the spice levels are mild or spicy. I went for mild & boy am I glad! They allow you to sample the frozen drinks before purchasing. The flavors were lime margarita, watermelon, hurricane and something blue. The watermelon was too sweet for my liking & the hurricane was a bit strong so I mixed 2. The drinks come in a nice size glass at a good price! About 5min later my number was called. The crawfish looked and smelled GOODT! Yes, t included. Lol. My friend opted for shrimp while the other got crawfish and sausage. Everything was yummy and had a good juicy flavoring for dipping my potato in. The corn was nice and sweet & the drink is perfect to wash it down with. Right now crawfish is $7.99 a pound which is the cheapest I've seen so far. The first time I got to go from here it took over 45 mins from when I called to when the order was ready. They are really packed on Friday nights with to go orders so I suggest calling in orders earlier so you won't have to wait like I did. We got the spicy flavor and found it to have the perfect amount of heat. Crawfish is still small size right now so we will definitely try this place again when the size of crawfish gets bigger. read more

I had more hollow tails and pieces than anything. I've never ever had a bad experience with them but i guess the saying is true, there's a first time for everything. They call your name or number out over the loudspeaker to come and pick up your food when it's ready. You get your own drink and there really is no service really. The presentation of my crawfish was absolutely perfect. It came with butter and some seasoning, but no corn or potatoes. They were a little bit overcooked, but the flavor was really amazing. it wasn't really anything to write home about, but I would go again if I was in the area.
