My daughter and I came for lunch. She had the fried calamari and kolokithokeftedes which are zucchini croquettes with feta, cheese, and fresh herbs served with tzatziki sauce. She loved everything. I got to share a couple bite of her calamari and think it's the best I've ever had; very tender and flavorful, and this is a favorite dish I've ordered in many places. I ordered the seafood salad which offered me shrimp, calamari and mussels on a bed of romaine with a honey vinaigrette and pita wedges. The seafood can be fried or grilled. I had the shrimp grilled and the calamari and mussels grilled. It theWe ratio for seafood to salad was good and I enjoyed it. We're looking forward to coming again soon. read more

Last week, my girlfriend and I stopped by for what we thought would be a quick lunch. We first noticed that there was a new menu, and some new prices. We started with the Pikilia Cold Spread Appetizer (your choice of 3 Greek dips) . We chose Taramosalata (caviar dip - but we couldn't taste any caviar...), Tryokafteri (spicy feta cheese dip - this dip didn't lack flavor in the past....), and Melitzanosalata ( roasted eggplant dip - the best of the bunch - not saying much). Granted that the dip appetizer was $12, but they were seriously lacking flavor compared to having them from this restaurant in the past and other Greek places we have visited. t As for entrees, my girlfriend asked how the Papoutsaki platter (desc: eggplant stuffed with veggies, topped with beschamel) is compared to the Moussaka (desc: lasagna type dish with eggplant, meat, beschamel), to which our server said "I dunno I think they are like the same." Uh OK, so Rachel tried the Papoutsaki, something similar to Moussaka,. I pointed under "sandwiches" to the gyro "sandwich." We finally received our lunch, and Rachel received what looked like Pastitsio (desc: noodles, meat, beschamel), when she asked our server she stated, "I thought that is what you wanted." So somehow Rachel asked for Papoutsaki and got Pastitsio. Now on to my entrée...I definitely got a gyro, just not a sandwich, as I had pointed to. I received the gyro platter, which I ate about half of, due to the gyro meat being so greasy you could pick a piece up and watch grease drip off of it like holding a piece of pepperoni pizza. Upon telling our server about the greasiness, she said that it was because we were amongst the first few customers of the day and the meat tends to be greasy for the first few cuts of meat. I can understand the meat being 'moist' but this was on another level. Upon receipt of our check, our server apologized for her mistake of giving Rachel the wrong dish, and gave us a $5 off coupon for next time. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be using that coupon, as I do not think we will return after this experience. Prior to this visit, I had eaten at this restaurant many times since living in this area of NJ. 2 years ago I would come here once a week. I have found that since then, the service and quality at this restaurant has declined. I have ordered to-go from here 2 times recently and both times my order was incorrect, and I live 20 minutes away, so it is not like I can just drive around the corner to get it corrected. read more

I hate to write a bad review for a small business during a pandemic but this was just so disappointing & I genuinely regret going here. Ordered 2 gyro platters to only receive one of the two salads I was suppose to receive & not only that but the meat was so dry yet oily at the same time & there's no lettuce or tomato or any toppings included in the platter except tzatziki which aside from the pita was the only thing I liked about this meal. Im someone who loves lemon a lot and the lemon potatoes were way too lemony, and I love Greek food I've had lemon potatoes & gyro many other places & this is the first bad experience I've had. Also feeling very sick after eating this & so does my coworker do not recommend at all. This is the first time I've ever gone somewhere with good Yelp reviews where I had a terrible meal I normally don't even write reviews I just read them but this was just so bad. read more

Mother of God what a disaster! Been searching for good Greek in the area, and I think we may have found it at Mikonos. But I'll never find out because they can't get their sh*t together enough to bring food from the kitchen to your table before you give up and walk out, which is what we did. They did get 2 of the 3 appetizers we ordered out to us and they were great. But an hour and 15 minutes in...it didn't look like the 3rd app was ever going to arrive and still no one had come around to take our entree order. It was obvious that things were only going to get worse, so we cut our losses and got the hell out and went to 5 Guys. Also bring your own bottle opener if you bring wine. They won't offer to open it for you. I finally had to wander into the kitchen and get an opener from one of the chefs. I can't stress enough that it's not the staff's fault. There is one waitress and one busser and they CANT POSSIBLY keep up with a big busy room, which it was. It's the cheapskate moron who owns the place that I blame for ruining our night read more

Let me start by saying the food is good. HOWEVER, in what universe do you start cleaning around a customers table with an antiseptic spray, and then VACUUMING well before it's closing time! A small group of soccer friends were in town for a soccer scouting series event and wanted to find a Greek restaurant. We selected Mikonos and it was the best dining decision made in some time. I travel a lot and get the chance to eat at some very nice restaurants. Mikonos is, hands down, the best Greek restaurant of many at which I have eaten. The food was terrific as was the service. We even got a mini-magic act by the manager which our girls all loved. The stuffed roasted red peppers were to die for and the piece of baklava they served was enough for 3 people to share. First time there and it was great! First, we were greeted enthusiastically upon entering and were seated where we requested. Our host (male) was assisting his colleague (female), since they were busy. She was very friendly and helpful to her guests. Now, the food. We had the meatball appetizer, which consists of four very large meatballs, that are crunchy on the outside and very tender and nicely seasoned on the inside. Not only fans of Greek but food fans the world over will enjoy this culinary carnival for the ages. My family and I were visiting the area and needed to find a good dinner place. Needless to say, we lucked out. The chefs obviously put a lot of work into sculpting an authentic Greek experience and as a fan of Greek food in general I am proud to say it is the best I've ever had. For the adventurous I would recommend the Alu Mazi, which is made up of several intriguing samples, my favorite being a fried zucchini creation. I ordered food from here through an app and unfortunately when I had arrived, their internet was down and they had not received my order. They were great and understanding about the situation and they took my order and asked for my confirmation and they said they would sort it out later! I ordered their Greek fries, stuffed grape leave (my all time favorite) and beef gyro. Everything was delicious! They gave you so much I had to spread it out over a few days! First time to try it. Went with friends who had been there before. Shared grapes leaves and fried octopus. I had the spinach pie and everyone else had the lamb shank with sauce over orzo. Great if you like "Hairy Gyros and rude service" I've been there on two occasions both were unpleasant. On the first occasion my girlfriend from work had a long piece of what I identify as facial hair in her gyro. She realize unfortunately only after she had eaten half of it. Once my girlfriend brought it to the servers attention, he didn't even apologize. He looked at her blankly and said "What would you like me to do". On the second occasion I was the first person at the register and I was about to order my food, when a Caucasian gentleman behind me called out his order. The cashier saw that was clearly ahead of the gentleman, however he didn't even acknowledge me and begin to take the order of the gentleman behind me. I felt so angry that I slammed down the menu and abruptly left. I left feeling really bad an angry and assumed my treatment was due to the color of my skin. A hidden gem! The food and service are fantastic. The portions are very generous and everything is extremely fresh and delicious. Come with a big group so you can sample a variety of appetizers, just order a bunch and take the left overs home for an entire meal. I also cannot say enough about our charming waiter. So...I've had lunch and dinner here in the past and I really enjoyed the food. Service, not so much. But, this time takes the cake! I ordered through Yelp and decided to pick up. I selected "pay with cash". When I arrived I decided to use my bank card. The waiter told me that I HAD TO PAY WITH CASH because I selected that option and something about they send the cash(WTF???). (It is 2016 and no one is mailing cash to anyone anywhere, knock it off.) He advised me to go to an ATM. I was frustrated but, I went to the ATM and then returned to "pay with cash". He rang up my order and handed me $2.00. "...Ummm...where's the rest of my change??..." He then reached into his pocket and handed me my $5.00. I asked him "...Did you just tip yourself with MY money?? Did you just assume that I wanted to offer a gratuity for TAKEOUT??" "...You should be tipping ME for going out and getting CASH!!!". At that point it became clear that he is a thief and should be terminated immediately. His whole premise for demanding cash was so he could skim. If he did it to me, he's done it to others and maybe even from the register. Great food, but the staff is crooked. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING!! I have driven past this restaurant a couple of times and it was on my "to go" list for about three months now. I was extremely excited for today's visit, The outside looks like a very authentic Greek restaurant, The inside looked more like a L-shaped diner. The good parts were...The waitress was very attentive and the service was pretty quick. The prices are not high and it is a BYOB. On the flipside, The food was "ehh" it was nothing that made me want to come back honestly. We ordered a seafood platter for two. The seafood was over cooked, everything was extremely chewy. It had great taste but it appeared to be cooked, then it sat for a while and then it was re-heated. I ordered the baklava which was OK . The liquid it was sitting on was extremely slimy and took away for the actual baklava. Also as a look at the pictures on yelp, none of the baklava pictures are consistent with what we received today. I'm going to give it one more chance hoping that I came on and off day. read more

Went with my Greek family for dinner, we were a party of 8. I have wanted to go here but some reviews were not that great in the past, but they have improved so we gave them a chance. First the service was excellent. Very attentive and knowledgeable. The apps were also real good. Calamari was tender and not over cooked, grape leaves were fresh and warm not over spiced, and the humas was nice, though the pita was store bought. The main course was mixed in large part due to the different styles of Greek cooking. Northern Greeks tend to use all spice and other savory spices in their cooking. Greeks from the Islands do not. For example the pasticho (Greek lasagna) was fill of this spice and my 78 year old Greek father in law did not like it. It's much better without it trust me. On the positive side the lamb that my Brother in law had was excellent. Perfectly cooked and plentiful. Best dish on the table by far. I will go back for this one for sure. The Greek Chicken was fair because there was to much sauce and it should be served with orzo not spaghetti. The spaghetti and meatball kids meal was disappointing especial because the all spice was present in the meatballs. This place has potential and I will go back again. read more

Understaffed and overwhelmed and my co-workers and I were only there during the lunch hour. Also overpriced! The Greek salad is in no way worth $10. The "greek" fries were basically just fries with oregano sprinkled on them. The greek fries I know at least have lemon and olive oil. Try not to show up early if you order take out because the restaurant is cramped and there is nowhere to wait without getting in the way of staff. We at least wanted to pay while waiting for our food but were blatantly being ignored for quite some time. Won't return. read more

Good food with terrible service. With two people in my group the issues started when we arrived. Only one of us was brought a beverage, we had to wait a few minutes for a second water. While every restaurant has it's bad days, I still feel obligated to comment on my experience. Our waiter couldn't seem to care at all about our table. Barely even speaking to us and essentially running away from the table at every chance. The restaurant had an extremely minimal drink selection, no juices and only soda and pink lemonade. No drink selection was even provided to us. My colleague had to run through a list of drinks that he wanted to only be told that thy didn't have it - why wouldn't you simply tell your customers what you DO have? After ordering our lunch we were delivered the wrong food. After correcting the mistake the waiter never returned to check in on us, ask us how our food was, or even provide a drink refill. Is that how you really treat your customers? The kicker is that there were only 6 groups of people in the restaurant, not exactly packed.
