Well as a writer, I could wax poetically about the level of service I received, or didn't receive in this particular case, but I'll just go straight to the point. I wanted a couple of mimosas and a small bite before my movie, (I haven't done a back to back movie day since before the pandemic.) I arrived, was greeted after a minute or two and told they had to check there list if I wanted to be sat inside. I said I was ok with either inside or outside. I was told just another minute. I waited a couple more minutes and another server walks right past me and offers to help the people behind me. I turn and go "excuse me, but I was..." as she and the people behind me walk off to there seat. I admit, that irritated me. I waited a couple more minutes with a smile, while getting ignored. This lovely couple offered to let me sit with them, the gentleman watched as they skipped me, which was super nice. But I didn't want to be social, I wanted 3 mimosas and then "Black Atom" lol. I declined politely and thanked them. I waited another minute and gave up and I walked out. Not sure if I'd bother trying here again. Honestly service is 60%of why I go out to eat. If I can't get that, I might as well stay home. Anyway, this was my experience here. I'd never been here before, and probably won't be back. read more

Been twice, LOVE the service but the food is not that great. Yes the coffee and waters are constantly fed to you, and the staff is wonderful and friendly BUT, the food is a bit bland. Two occasions: 1. Corned beef hash and eggs. Three eggs, very runny for over medium, a small portion of hash, pancake is rather boring... the food was not that good. The portions are OK except for the size of the hash portion. I just wasnt impressed. 2. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. The size of the steak was huge BUT there was absolutely no taste to the steak. Eggs were ordered over medium again and came runny. Same on the pancake, not much on taste... Just not the best place I have been to for food quality. So, I would recommend another diner. Unless I am invited back by the owner to sample something else in an effort to improve my experience, I am not able to return to this business due to teh poor food quality. And I love to eat so this is a difficult position to be in. read more

Mils Diner, located at 36 South Abbott Avenue, Milpitas, California, is a great place to visit for breakfast, brunch or lunch! The food is great, the staff is friendly and great, and I have known the owner for many years now and she knows how to run the diner, knows the regular customers by name, and after you place your order, the food is delivered to your table within 15 minutes after ordering. The staff asks what you want to drink first so you can quench your thirst while waiting for your food to come out from the kitchen. My friends and family go there to meet me and we have a great time together! The diner is kept immaculately clean at all times, and when you pay your bill and get up to leave, the staff clears your table and resets the table with fresh napkins and cutlery for the next customer/customers. read more

First things first, the service is top-notch. The staff are so friendly and efficient, you might start to wonder if they have a secret stash of caffeine hidden in the kitchen. And let's talk about the food. I mean, who doesn't love a good breakfast? My personal favorite is the crab cake Benedict. I do have to admit that the hash browns were just okay. I mean, they weren't terrible or anything, but they didn't quite live up to the rest of the meal. But that's okay, because my girlfriend had the waffles and they were pretty dang good. And let's not forget about the pricing. It's more than fair for the amount of food you get, and I promise you won't be leaving hungry. After an epic night at the Metallica concert in Santa Clara, my son and I decided to stop by Mil's Diner for breakfast, and it was the perfect choice! Mil's has that classic, old-school diner charm that's hard to find these days. I had the all-meat omelet, and it was cooked just like the good old days, with a bit of that golden-brown sear that adds so much flavor. My son went for a hearty combo of sausage, bacon, eggs, and toast, and he loved every bite. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and we even spotted a few fellow concert-goers, which made the experience even more fun. This place is the money right there man. I swear they give good food, good service and they also have a good location and parking. If you ever go there, i seriously recommend you get their chicken dishes. I would go here every single day for a nice breakfast or got some brunch. They also give portions as big as a cow which translates to a happy satisfied meal. The ONLY con is that the is a little too greasy with a lot of oil and butter. If you want to bulk or gain weight or is lifting weights, I recommend this place because the food offers a lot of protein content, carb content, fat content and calorie amounts. Mill diner USED to be the place to go for a family "ole fashioned breakfast" Hummm.. I went there and the food was still ok but not what it used to be. I orderd waffles and fried chicken and my friend had a omelet. My fried chicken was beyond fried is was crunchy and dry. (OVER FRIED) waffle was the same way.. dried out. My friend was not impressed with his omelet either. When we were there eating our breakfast at the counter, we noticed the lady owner ragging on the lady workers it was hilarious but annoying to say the least, who in the hell wants to go to breakfast and hear drama. I recently visited this breakfast diner and was incredibly disappointed. The decor is outdated and in desperate need of a facelift. From the stained carpets to the chipped paint, it was clear that no effort had been made to update the place in years. But the real disappointment came with the food. I asked for lightly scrambled eggs and it came out very rubbery and overdone. The sausages were very dry. I was surprised at how busy it was on a Sunday. Overall, I would not recommend this diner. The shabby decor combined with lackluster food makes for an unpleasant dining experience. Spend your money elsewhere where you can get a better meal and atmosphere. read more

Just wanted to say since the new owners took over this place it is now amazing, the only thing i may not like so much is how crowded it has gotten - of course that is because the food is great, portions are hearty, the new owners and the staff are great. The prices are very fair and the meals are very very consistent, we now go there at least twice a week and will continue to do so. I heartily recommend going to this place for breakfast and lunch, i would recommend he super burger but go hungry it is huge and one of the best burgers in the bay area - really. I recently ordered a to-go breakfast from this place for my family and me. While the prices were quite reasonable and the service was impressively fast, the overall experience fell short. The food was well-packaged, but the quality left much to be desired. The bacon was severely undercooked, and the potatoes were both bland and underdone. The pancakes were passable but unremarkable. I got here with my friends and we were immediately offered my choice of places to sit. Coffee appeared almost immediately after that. After i had a moment to look at the menu, the wait staff appeared again and cheerfully took my order & refilled my coffee. Total disappointment! Table of 4 and 3 orders came ok. Last order had hella greezy hash browns with it. After several discussions with the server and after dealing with her look of angryness that we were not happy with the food we gave up. This is my first time have a Persian breakfast with the Sobhaneh and my first time at this place. The dish has a few dishes. I was fine with trying everything and eating them how I think they should be eaten, but it would have been nice if someone there explained a little more. The baqlava drink was delicious. I would come back to order it again and try other coffee drinks. The tandoori chicken paratha was pretty good too. A new take on that taco look. Inside was eclectic decor, with wooden tables with bench or chair seating.

I enjoyed the 4th Street Omelette, with hash browns and wheat toast. My wife enjoyed her meal, but it was too much for her, so she brought home her leftovers. I ordered the 4th Street Omelette, which included sausage, ham, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers and topped with grilled pineapple and cheddar cheese. I also ordered wheat toast. I also wasn't able to finish my meal and took my leftovers home too. The food was really good. The coffee shop was pretty busy and the staff did a good job of serving all the customers. The staff are also very friendly and personable. This is a good place to grab a bite to eat and if you're in the mood, enjoy a few games of bowling too.
