We love the mile away! We've been coming fairly regularly after things started getting back to normal post pandemic and have loved the patio area. The bartender Chelsea and waiter Bryce are awesome! Attentive, knowledgeable, and engaging. Makes every experience that much better. Recently went to Oktoberfest and had a blast! Things were a little hectic when they opened with long line for everything, but once the initial rush calmed down, everyone was able to relax and enjoy the great food beautiful gardens, music and beer. We recommend to everyone in the area.

I have come here for years--like when my mother was pregnant. My meal, as always was awesome. Not one complaint. I had the Swede balls, haddock, Swiss potatoes, et tu Brute' salad and lemon mascarpone cake. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Waitress Alex in training did an awesome job taking care of us. She was top notch.

My nana has always hosted Thanksgiving, but now that she's in her 90s we thought we'd take her out for it instead! We had a great holiday dinner at Mile Away. Full cocktail menu including caramel apple vodka sangria, 4 course meal with great choices (I had the maple salmon for an entree) and we all especially loved our desserts. The atmosphere is quiet, cozy, and warm with the big fireplace up front, and all the staff were super friendly. Thanks for making our non-traditional Thanksgiving a great experience!

Its been over 6 months since visiting the Mile Away, but while going through photos on my computer a particular picture brought back my memory of the place. The place in nestled on a country road in what appears to be an old farm house. The interior clean, simply decorated yet rustic. Whats great about this review is that although I forgot what I had for a main entree, there are some very memorable details that made this place stand out to me. All dinner include salad, your choice of appetizer, entree, vegetable and desert. We chose a wine "flight" which featured four small glasses of red wines. I've seen it done with beer, but never with wine. The appetizers selections were interesting and diverse. I chose the Swedish meatballs, then on to a lovely mixed green salad which did not appear to have been dumped from a premixed bag-o-greens. As I said before I forgot what my main entree was. My vegetable choice was glazed acorn squash with golden raisins yum! Dinner was enjoyable and filling. Although desert was included I could not eat another bite. The waitress packed up our desert choice (mine was apple strudel) which tasted homemade. Excellent value!

Beef tenderloin, cooked medium rare with bordelaise sauce and Swiss potato.

Easter dinner with my wife was superb! Perfectly fired orders. Food that was equally above grade. This was a wonderful holiday dinner. Thank you Mile Away for helping us make a great memory. As I mentioned to our waitress, the Swedish Meatballs were like "a hug from your grandmother. So comforting." My wife had the lamb which was very, very good, I had the tenderloin of beef which was perfectly cooked and so tasty!

It's what I…read morewould deem a hole in the wall, (only because it is not a large venue) but it has excellent service and great food. We started with some cocktails and the cheese curds, for Andres we had the Smashburger and an order of duck tacos. We do come toting along with a six-year-old so with a lack of a kids menu or a simpler eats, we went with the cheese flatbread (note to anybody reading it comes without sauce. It is literally cheese on a flatbread). We can't fall places for not being kid friendly, but it would've been awesome to have even just a grilled cheese option, but that's our problem for another day. Sadly, it will limit when we can plan our future visit visits. The service was great, friendly and attentive, in the ambience, cozy and warm. I travel quite a bit and my husband did deem this a place that "I could come and sit at the bar when I'm by myself " So personally, the only thing I would say is they could use a few more smaller plates that could thicken as child, friendly entrées... or just add a tad bit more options into the mix.

I'd rate Townhall four and a half stars…read more Great gastropub. Solid selection of whiskeys and beers. Beers focus on local craft options. I had a few Helles lagers from Moat Mountain. Very approachable menu with a few sections but a handful of options in each section. From the starters section, we shared the duck wings and the fried cheese curds. Surprisingly, a lot of duck featured on the menu. Not something I typically see at a casual taphouse. Duck wings were great. Ultra crispy and card with mandarin wedges for a perfect compliment. The fried cheese curds came out piping hot. Some of them seemed to pop and the cheese oozed out leaving some hollow curds. The ones that maintained their integrity and contained the cheese were superb. We shared the Korean fried chicken sandwich as our main. Super crispy and vinegar forward. Came with spiraled potato wedges which was an ideal accompaniment for a few beers. Service was quick and accommodating. Food came out quickly too. A couple TVs to catch an event. Great spot!

Every dish was absolutely delicious, making it hard to pick a favorite, but the Duck Potstickers were especially outstanding- an easy 10/10! The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, with a true farm-to-table feel, and each dish was perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. For drinks, my friend enjoyed a Zinfandel while I ordered the Coppertone rum cocktail, which was refreshing and perfect for a warm evening. Our host and waitress were extremely attentive, knowledgeable about both the food and beverage menus, and offered excellent recommendations. We sat outdoors on the rooftop deck under an umbrella, which provided a lovely atmosphere. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of downtown Milford, with plenty of free off-street parking available. The only downside was the motorcycle traffic from a nearby biker bar. Every time a group rode by, the engines were quite loud and interrupted the otherwise relaxing ambiance. Even so, the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere easily made this a place I'd happily return to.

The food and service were good--but the end of the night completely ruined the experience. After we paid and were clearly wrapping up, a hostess came over and told us we had been there for two hours and needed to give up the table, offering to move us to the bar. That's not hospitality. We were already about to leave, and instead of a basic courtesy to finish our conversation, we were made to feel rushed out. In over 25 years of dining in the U.S., I've never been pushed out of a restaurant like that. It completely overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable evening.
