Lychee tea, Wintermelon milk tea, and Cream cheese wontons
    Melissa C.

The drinks, refreshing, and the food is tasty. My husband likes getting his drink 50% sweet, which is still good compared to the other places I've tried. I like my wintermelon milk tea. We got our drinks fairly quickly, and there is plenty of seating inside. Parking can be difficult in the small lot.

Honey Roasted Milk Tea Plus grass jelly in size Giant

This is my 5th time here in 2 years Food 4/5 The flavored drinks (taro, watermelon, etc) are not natural fruit or teas so this is not the place for you if that's what you are looking for The honey roasted milk tea is an oolong with honey and it takes #1 and it is real tea and I got it with the grass jelly in a giant size For the taro milk tea, it's powder Service 5/5 My taro milk tea with egg pudding has spoiled pudding. The pudding was sour and I called the shop after I drove away and they apologized and asked me to go back so I can get a new boba Their staff might be a combo of high school and college kids but they are so friendly and take pride in doing a good job Price 4/5 I genuinely don't think $8.50 for a giant is overpriced but it's just a shame they don't have real natural flavors for taro, watermelon, etc Ambiance 5/5 It's a BIG boba shop with finger food, a quiet ambiance, and restrooms Cleanliness 4/5 The combination of size, white & blue interior is 5/5 The bathroom is 4/5 had a toilet seat cover on the floor and I was queued up behind an employee so just a little more upkeep

We love looking for boba tea places that serve food especially popcorn chicken. Well Milk Tea Lab serves food and drinks. It's located in Mesa College Center across the street from Kearney High School. Large space inside but very few tables. 4 big tv's on the wall. Great place for students to study and charge their laptops with the many electrical outlets along the bench. They offer small, regular, giant or hot for sizes. Then no spice to extra spicy for food. We got: -Almond milk tea - very good, strong bold tea base flavor. Got regular sweet, it was too sweet. -Honey roasted milk tea - tasted like regular milk tea, also really good. Got 50% sweet and it was perfect. -Takoyaki - great size but too glutinous starchy and needed more octopus -Popcorn chicken - love that there are many spice levels. We got medium. Wings - I would skip, you could taste that it was once frozen when reheated. Overall, the drinks were decent and popcorn chicken was excellent. We would increase in spice level next time.

Been here twice - love the variety of flavors to choose from. Orange dreamsicle is on point. The mango smoothie flavor is good but i thought the mango texture was slightly off. Didn't taste like the Asian mango that I'm used to. Understandable because mangoes can be expensive. The taro smoothie could use more of that taro powder. It was more milky than taro.

Nice little chart of their teas and offerings.

Been here a couple times now and I just say I enjoyed it both times. First time I got the orange dreamsicle and it tasted just like the ice cream flavor they had when I was a child. Very good. This time I got the passion berry and it was delicious. The boba tastes fresh and the drinks are not overly sweet. Customer service was great both times.

Taro Milk Tea with Honey Boba

I was so excited to try this place since it's just a few blocks from home. I got the Taro Milk Tea with Honey Boba. Although I didn't note anything unique about their version of the Taro MT, it was still pretty good. Even with regular sugar, the sweetness of the drink was just right. You have so many different drinks to choose from at this place. Not only do they have milk teas, flavored teas, and smoothies; they also have tonic drinks--which I'm already planning to try the next time I visit! I also loved that they offer milk substitutes here--they have oat, soy, and almond milks. If you're craving for something to eat while you sip on your drink, they also have some snacks on their menu--they even have vegan options! The place was clean and well ventilated with an ample seating area. They have some cute decor as well. The staff was friendly and the service was fairly quick.

My daughter loves this place to and from going to Mesa CC. She stopped and got me a Strawberry lemonade smoothie with boba! It was delicious. It was a little sweet. I like it better when you can adjust your sweetness but apparently you can't do that with the smoothies. Nice menu online to choose from. She said. Inside it is nice, open, good atmosphere and friendly staff. The workers were sweet. https://milktealabs.com/concord-menu/

Wanted to try a different boba shop and stumbled upon milk tea lab! I came around 8pm and it was quite empty, and there were plenty of parking available. There's a self kiosk as well, but the staff were nice and helped with my questions! The store has tons of space, it was bigger than I expected. The ambiance was nice and cutely decorated! They have a wide selection on their menu, with lots of food options as well. I decided to try the tiger milk tea and I thought it was decent! There aren't sugar adjustments on the self kiosk, so I let the staff know and I wrote it in the notes. As for the drink, the tea flavor itself isn't strong, and it just tasted like sweet milk. The brown sugar tasted more like honey, but overall I thought it was good but on the sweeter side. Since the store is so big, I'd recommend coming here to hang out with friends! I personally like my milk tea stronger on the tea side, but I do want to come back to try the food.

Passion Fruit Green Tea & Jasmine Oat Milk Tea
    Samantha W.

Craving boba and decided to try this place because we saw they offer oat milk. We ordered Passion fruit green tea & Jasmine milk tea with oat milk. I was told they use the powdered non dairy creamer (which I hate) and they said they wouldn't be able to make it with oat milk but then they said they could. My jasmine oat milk tea wasn't that milky but I understand why. They have the jasmine tea already brewed and add a certain amount of powdered creamer to it to make it milky whereas adding too much oat milk would dilute the jasmine tea because they're adding liquid to liquid. If they made their jasmine green tea more concentrated then added oat milk it wouldn't be an issue but I get it, using the powdered non dairy creamer gives a bigger profit margin and it has more shelf stability. But the thing I hate about the powdered non dairy creamers and why I never order drinks with them is the ingredients. The lack of milkiness didn't really bother me because I was happy to have oat milk. The tea however was kind of bitter but what was so disappointing was the boba. It wasn't warm and it tasted like it had been made over 4 hours ago. It didn't seem fresh. It wasn't soft, had a firmer centre and it was a chore to chew. I regretted ordering boba x2 for my giant sized drink. We both sat there trying our drinks mentioning how bad the boba was. And my husband ordered his passionfruit green tea with 0% sugar but it was still very sweet and there were no passionfruit seeds in it which led us to believe that they're probably using that pre-prepared thick passion fruit flavoured syrup-like stuff and just spooned in a certain amount to get the passion fruit flavor but obviously the sugar that's already in the syrup can't be removed. So that was disappointing.

Mango milk tea with mango agar boba and honey boba
    Jane A.

LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING (4 stars) - price, fair - portion, average - flavor, good The menu has a little bit of everything. I've narrowed down my choice by wanting a fruit milk tea although other options were very tempting. MANGO MILK TEA - added mango agar boba and honey boba. Some sips were much sweeter than others but then quickly balanced out with the milk, I was a bit hesitant to drink this faster than I did scared of a sugar rush but it didn't get to that point. The milk tea had a nice yummy flavor of mango, the mango agar boba were more like mango flavored jelly shaped like boba and added another extra pop of mango. I could have done without the mango boba and stuck with the honey boba - but I was doing the most. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Until the next sip...

Food: 4/5 Service and Setting: 4.5/5 Value: 3.5/5 Milk Tea Lab is a little bit farther than I would like to visit when leaving home, but it was a good experience. I found the drinks and food to be interesting and different from typical boba shops. The interior is super clean and has that late 2010s Instagramable aesthetic. The workers there were super nice and informative. I saw someone's review saying that they ate the best calamari here and when I asked a worker if they made it in-house, she just straight up said "nope, we buy it". She the realest. +1 for the honesty and even though I 100% sure knew they did not make their takoyaki, I went for it anyway. During golden hour, the inner corners of their store get really dark so I hope that they add some more lighting to keep the mood alive. Cupid Tonic: 4.5/5 I am a sucker for soda, even though I know that it's the worst deal. The Cupid Tonic is a lychee flavored soda with blueberry heart-shaped jelly. The lychee flavor is sweet but very light. If you quizzed me about which flavor I was drinking, it would be hard for me to tell you it was lychee, but it was surprisingly good. The jelly is very similar to nata de coco and had an ambiguous sort of fruity flavor. Overall, it was super tasty and I told myself it was worth because it would be too much work to make at home. If you are a soda connoisseur like me, this is a great option! Takoyaki: 4/5 Are these from a bag that I could probably buy at Mitsuwa? Did they use regular American mayo instead of Kewpie? Did they also use strips of nori instead of ao nori? Yes, yes they did. BUT it was very freshly fried, not overly squishy, and generously topped. On a bad day these would definitely be a 2, but today they were a 4 and I would recommend getting them with your drink of choice.

They welcome service animals, babies/children and strollers from what I observed. The music was very, very loud. It was difficult to hold a conversation. I did not see a bathroom. Ordering process: After seating you wait for a little bit for them to bring small water cups and a QR menu with a table number and a set of rules. They do not have a physical menu, you must use your phone to order. Cell phone reception was dicey and took a long time to load. They have an interesting concept where you have a digital 'tab' open on their toast website. Unfortunately you must provide your full name, email and phone number. They have pour over drinks (note these can take 15-20 minutes), matcha, Hojicha and others. You may only order one drink per person at a time. They have a small snack menu with rotating foods. They use oat milk only. No substitutions allowed. After mobile ordering, drinks take 20-30 minutes as part of their take it slow vibe. Matcha $8 is from Paru tea and was very good. Hojicha $8 was too milky and didn't have a strong enough flavor. When you are done you walk to the register by the door and wait to be checked out. If they are making a drink you wait until they are finished. I wasn't really a fan. Staff were brusque. Music was too loud to converse.

Tickets were purchased on-line, they allowed an hour beforehand to mingling. The layout was a little different from the last event I attended but it still felt intimate and cozy. The event was incredible, I already requested to host to book her again. The venue is really awesome for small group events. I got to meet the manager/owner at the end of the evening and she was delightful!
