Decor was stylish & fun. Excellent handcrafted cocktails. Delicious food! We sat at the bar and had great service. Gluten free options available.

So we're back at the Mill House...a family favorite! This time we came with two other couples and had a great dinner. The bang bang cauliflower is delicious and the hibiscus cider is one of our favorites. Four out of the six ordered the gnocchi with short ribs....i love it. Creamy goodness with a hint of truffles. The short ribs were shredded, I wished it was chunks instead but still good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Mill House is great. We were seated on the third floor and our waiter was fantastic![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Other than being exceptionally loud, this place is a gem.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food?!? Out of this world. The beer? Quite good. (The flights will get you 5 beers.) I would certainly come back, if for nothing else but the food.

I stopped by Mill House Brewery after a hike, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the place has a very rustic and welcoming vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was great! I started with a side of shoestring fries (not really shoestring? More like thin cut fries), which were perfectly crispy and crunchy. I also ordered the fried calamari salad and it was delicious!!! Fresh, flavorful, and the sriracha ranch dressing tied everything together so well. Unfortunately, towards the end of my salad, I found a large fly in the salad. It was attempting to fly away. It wasn't just sitting there--it was covered in dressing, which made it clear it had been there the whole time. Definitely disappointing and pretty gross. When I brought it to the server's attention, he immediately got the manager. While the salad was taken off the bill, I didn't appreciate the manager suggesting/insinuated the fly might have flown in afterward. That wasn't the case and it came across as dismissive. That said, the food really was delicious, and I wouldn't let this one incident deter me from coming back. I just hope management handles situations like this with more accountability moving forward.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Large restaurant and parking lot[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The restaurant is a short walk from the Bardavon 1869 Opera House. Make a reservation if you plan to eat there on a day when there is a show. The cocktails are creative (particularly for a Brewery). The Fig and Pig Pizza is delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service is attentive and the room is comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Cauliflower Sticky Rice Bowl

The Mill House Brewing Company was recommended by friends who used to work in the area. I arrived on a Saturday about 4:00pm and were seated right away. The restaurant is very spacious with lots of inside seating, seats around the bar, and outside seating as well. The menu offers salads, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, and so much more. I had a hard time choosing what I wanted to eat. I chose the "Run of the Mill" sangria, Cauliflower Sticky Rice Bowl, and my husband and I shared the "Strawberry Shortcake" Cheesecake. The sangria was very good, but the Cauliflower Sticky Rice Bowl and the "Strawberry Shortcake" Cheesecake stole the show. The Cauliflower Sticky Rice Bowl was packed with flavor. It had sticky rice, tempura fried cauliflower with bang bang sauce, cucumber kimchi, edamame, radishes, scallions, and crispy shallots. It was very filling and I didn't leave anything behind. The "Strawberry Shortcake" Cheesecake had Graham cracker crust, vanilla cheesecake, angels food cake, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream. At first, the angel food cake portion was a little hard but within minutes, every layer was so moist and I enjoyed every single bite. My husband ordered half Haus hefeweizen and had the Blue-Bacon-Mushroom burger. He enjoyed his drink and meal as well. I am glad I had the opportunity to stop by The Mill House Brewing Company and have such a great meal. Nathan was our server and service was great and personable. The parking lot is also a good size.

Great spot for beer and food. We shared the pork tostada, chicken tiki meatballs, and the Mediterranean salad with chicken. We had a frozen palomino and a beer flight with our meal. The food was delish and balanced. The beers were refreshing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have some funky tables for dining and an overall cool vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nicole took great care of us and we will be back!

    Bruschetta
    Amanda H.

My friend and I popped in for a pre-dinner snack and drink and got a seat at the bar right away. I tried a delicious hibiscus ginger cider and we shared the bruschetta. It was super fresh and delicious. The menu looked amazing with lots of drinks and food options as well as a pizza oven. Specials looked great as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great vibes, staff were friendly and had great recommendations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We went on a Friday night and while we were seated right away (outside in October) it took an hour and a half for our food to arrive. 10 minutes for appetizer to arrive. The waiter handed us a water bottle and when he went to fetch the empty bottle he didn't bring me a full one either (& I emptied it half way through the meal!). The food was ok but my side salad (since I skipped the mashed potatoes) was just lettuce. I don't know that's a 'salad'. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was nice but the music was unbearably loud and I was cold, which would have been ok had we not sat for almost three hours while eating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't know whether it was a lack of service or they were just extremely busy, but it was not an enjoyable meal. He never came to check on us and the food we waited for was just ok.

Came here for drinks and had a great experience. I was able to sit at the bar and order a flight right away. Normally flights are a set of 4, but here, you can pick 5. They had both a blueberry and cucumber beers which were delicious, especially the latter. Staff was super friendly and the place itself is so, so nice and clean. Food was very yummy and service was great. Would absolutely come back.

For a Brewing Company I find their draft beer offerings limited. The interior gives pub vibes, while still being welcoming for families. The food is just okay. Great concept, missing that wow factor.

Met a friend for lunch and was seated in the upstairs area. Very nice setting and not too loud, perfect for catching up! My cappuccino and mortadella sandwich were tasty.

Came here with my partner to grab a burger and a brew recently. We got a flight of beer so we could try a variety - you can either DIY or do one of their curated ones, we chose to pick our own. My favorite had to be the peach ale, but the cucumber ale was quite unique and fun too. My partner enjoyed the Zoe the most. We ordered the 50/50 burger which came with a massive portion of fries. It's a big space so great for groups, and the service was helpful and efficient!

Our friendly server Rob was extremely attentive and provided descriptions on the various entrees. I started with a light, delicious cherry Bellini. Not too sweet, a beautiful color of pink bubbly goodness! Just what the doctor ordered! Husband had a great local IPA out of Brooklyn. When he couldn't decide, he was offered a samples to try. My entree was the best Pasta Bolognese I've had in a very long time! I'm an Italian and it transcended me back to childhood in my mother's kitchen! The rich abundant meat flavor blended perfectly with the spiced tomato sauce! It was a truly delicious dish ladled over the cooked just right al dente pasta! Deliciousness at 100% ! I highly recommend it! Husband had the huge, thick cut , bone in pork chop! Unbelievable flavor! The glaze was deliciously savory with hidden tastes of sweet Asian over perfectly charred cut up sweet potatoes and sticky rice on the side. Both our dinners portions were very large offering plenty for another meal at home. This was our fourth visit to the restaurant . Next time we are traveling up here to Poughkeepsie for work from Boston area we will certainly return! Each visit gets better and better! It makes me realize why familiar faces return regularly to the restaurant. The owner Tom is so welcoming and friendly. The food is not only excellent but the friendly atmosphere the whole staff provide makes it a winning combination! You all are so lucky to have this restaurant near by! Deliciousness and the best hospitality with fair pricing is hard to beat! I wish I took pictures!

We ordered that every time we have eaten here in the past. Weird burger combos were noted. I asked about a burger with gorgonzola cheese - instead of the feta cheese that came on one of the burgers. I was told no - they don't have any. Their other restaurant right next door makes a gorgonzola burger. They are always going back and forth to get stuff - why couldn't they just say yes, and grab a bit of gorgonzola from next door? Note that this was around 5:00 pm and there was just one other table occupied, and two people at the bar who were leaving. I wanted a burger, but didn't like any of the weird choices, so I got a Reuben sandwich. The fries were good, but for $17, I would have hoped the corned beef would be good as well. It wasn't very moist or fresh - in fact there were weird brown areas on the meat. I chalked it up to a bad choice. My partner ordered the Philly steak sandwich on a baguette. He has had the French dip sandwich there in the past and liked it. Unfortunately it was no longer on the menu, so he ordered the closest thing. He said he would not order it again, and that says a lot. I tasted it - and it was just not very good. Sorry to say but it is unlikely we will be back.

I meant to ask for more but the actual dish would benefit from more generous saucing. Latte was delicious- nice and hot, and the espresso had a good smooth taste. A couple points of feedback- could benefit from putting notes about GF substitutions on the menu. I asked just in case and found out there was GF bread, pasta and pizza crust available.
