Love this place! Always come here for the Supreme omelet, with a side of Swedish pancakes. I wish I could make my omelets so fluffy, wonder whats the secret. The service is always superb, friendly, and attentive. It is a bit pricey, but for the amount of food you get, it is well worth it. My girlfriend can never finish her pancakes, so we take it home as a snack later on. The only thing I don't like is that there is no pickup order. You have to be physically there or they won't take your order as take out.....I know they don't want people ordering and flake out, but I would eat there a lot more if they did allow phone order. sooo.....minus one star. I give the food a 5 but the uncleanliness docks 2 stars. I love this place! The food is great and the prices are decent. But lately every time I come I look around a little more and notice that the place is filthy!!! The tables are only wiped about 2/3 of the way and the corners with the lamps and condiments are caked in nasty stuff. I know they get busy and have to get people in and out but it's literally disgusting. This place needs to close and extra day a month and have the whole staff do a DEEEEEP CLEANING! Please! Also, new older blonde server is very rude to staff and just can't seem to get it together. Needs more training before you leave her in charge of half the restaurant on a busy morning. Just go in. You have to. Sit down and its 1975 all over again (and that's a good thing). Fast service, busy kitchen and you can take a look at all the other reviews for a breakdown of the menu. Its what a pancake house is supposed to be. All the locals go there. Sunday mornings are an "after church" staple for hundreds of families. Everything from the service, the food and the environment is a 10/10! I was helped by Teresa, who was an amazing host. She was very personable, took care of my family's orders, and had the most genuine smile when greeting us. She always made sure my coffee was topped off and was an all around great hostess, I would say the best experience at this restaurant yet. (I dropped a word at the front desk to give her a promo.) I highly recommend the California omelette with a side of Swedish pancakes. The portions are huge and the quality is top of the line. The only con is the wait, but is justifiable with the demand for their service and food. I LOVE bringing my family here often on early Sunday mornings before mass. Disclaimer: I went here after a terrible flight where I landed at 8AM after not finding anything to eat for 10 hours. The price was great, especially for the portions: I got a breakfast special which was two pieces of Texas toast, two strips of bacon, and two eggs any way I wanted them for all of $8. My friend got a hot-links sub with a generous portion of thick-cut fries for not much more, and he loved it too. The service is solid. Good luck keeping your coffee cup empty. This is the kind of place where they are so quick and attentive that you'll be lucky to catch them while they are refilling the cup, let alone successfully express that you don't want more coffee. I walked in on a Monday evening so it was not busy at all. I'm not a big fan of pancake but after trying their Swedish pancakes, I had to say pancakes were awesome. Not your common trendy spot painted in a blah neutral color with metal attributes. This has an old world comfort manly charm that slept with my grandma and together they bake everyday. Wood walls, high ceilings and a sizable amount of tables. It's not fancy by any means, it's one of the most unique vintage comfort feelings that I've missed from a diner such as this one! Baked goods, sausage and butter aromas stretched from one side of the room to the other. The staff quickly yet lovingly and efficiently jet from table to kitchen with the flow and precision of a well oiled machine! You cannot be lazy and work here. How do they do this with a smile? The menu was well represented in their choices from breakfast to lunch....pancakes are their thang, so pigs n a blanket is the hubbys choice and it came with browns. Fruit for littles and mom had to have the fried chicken and waffles. D had cheddar scrambled eggs, pancakes, browns and a sirloin burger. The cakes and waffles are vanilla kissed, a light sweet dough. For the cakes their super soft and the waffles are a nice medium thickness with a light crunch to the crust. Browns were cooked just right, a perfect blend of medium and extra crispy taters. Sausage was sage dusted, a fun kick with pork. Fried chicken had a honey batter that when deep fried, bursted with comfort on this chilly 2nd day in October. Light and not greasy by any means. Fruit bowl was watermelon, pineapple, cantaloupe and honey dew which was awesome because littles loves watermelon. Food was at our table in under 8 mins. WOW! All your typical breakfast foods, they also do bangers, Swedish pancakes, similar to a crepe. Yum! Sammies, salads and lunch foods alre also offered. The service is good, you get seated by the hostess right away and you're automatically given cups of waters and soon enough your order is taken by a waitress/waiter and I swear in like 10 minutes, BAM! If you don't know me, let me share a little secret. I really like breakfast. There were all groups here. Couples. Families, Young. Old. All with one thing that made me green eyed... they were eating and I wasn't. Well, in about 15 minutes we were one of them. This is not a place high on style or phenom detailed service. This is, get in, eat, get out and wear a smile on that way out. Fine by me... I was hung over... I looked at the menu and what do my glazed eyes spy? But that an order of pancakes came with every omelet if so desired. I desired very much. Our waitress was quick, smiling and all about business, eating... a woman after my own gut. Off I order my linguisa omelet and the requisite order of the house specialty. A mere 5 minutes later plates came flying at our table. My smokey sausage, cheese filled, artery clogging omelet came at me and a plate of my soon to be sticky sweet goodness. Yay. My heart seized up in happiness as I took the first bite, yeah, I was happy. The pancakes were great, but anything that I drown in that much syrup was going to be good. It was all good, nothing amazing, but looking around I wasn't looking for amazing. Screw outstanding. It was hot, tasty, quick and all around solid. I was sold. Good food. They have very buttery hash browns but do order them extra crisp unless you like them mushy. Tasty bacon with many orders, or get a side order of 6 slices. The first time we came here was because my daughter's swim school gives out tokens for passing their swim level. They get a free pancake to celebrate and my daughter felt like a celebrity. We keep going back because of the food! By far one of the most classic diner experiences you will ever get. The food comes our quickly and consistently and the portions are very large for the prices.
