I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership just a few weeks ago, and within days of them performing service on it (including an oil pan replacement), the engine completely failed. What followed was an incredibly frustrating experience marked by delays, dismissiveness, and poor communication. It took me filing complaints with the state and the BBB before they agreed to replace the engine -- a step I appreciated -- but the process to get there was unnecessarily stressful and combative. The GM, Blake Milnes, often came off as condescending and unwilling to accept that something might have been mishandled on their end. I was also told I would not be charged for a rental car, only to later be handed a bill for it and now possibly even vehicle damage fees. I am cooperating fully, but the overall handling of my situation was far from professional. The tone, the lack of transparency, and the blame-shifting made me feel more like a burden than a customer. I was even late to work the day the engine failed, adding to the financial impact of the situation. I'm sure management will try to respond to this review to save face -- and that's their right -- but I stand by my experience. If you choose to buy a vehicle here, I strongly recommend documenting everything, getting every promise in writing, and preparing for a lack of accountability if something goes wrong. read more

My wife and I purchased a new car here, and on the way home noticed some mechanical issues with the vehicle. Being a new vehicle and wanting everything to functional we were disappointed. But that is where the story takes a turn for the better!! Keep reading ....I emailed our service rep (Aaron Leonard) at midnight, and explained to him the situation, and that I would be bringing the car back the next morning. Amazingly he emailed me back at 1:45am indicating he was sorry to hear of the situation, and they would do what was necessary to make us happy. I then got another email from the New Car Sales Manager (David Lightfoot) at 6:45am indicating that when I come in, to see him. When I did arrive, everyone was focused on the same goal, and that was to make us happy. We ended up getting a different vehicle as we did not feel comfortable with the one we brought back, and there were no questions asked, no attitudes, just professionals. They even gave me a free loaner while we waited for them to find a alternate vehicle that was like the one we had. In short we were treated like you would expect as you are making a major purchase. I just purchased a new F-150 at Milnes and can't say enough about the dealership experience there especially in comparison to the absolute runaround I was put through at Imlay City Ford. My salesman, Cody, was a real no-nonsense kind of guy who didn't put me through the typical "hard core selling method" like I received at the other dealership. The sales manager and finance manager were all so easy to work with. Other salesman walking the floor were offering me beverages and making sure I was comfortable. I had problems getting my A-Plan pin and because of MY issues they all stayed until 8:30pm to make sure I could drive my truck home that day. THEN they were constantly apologizing to me about the delay and I kept telling them that it was MY FAULT and I apologized right back at em. They still insisted on giving me a Walmart gift card for the delay. Unbelievable. PS - I'm not new to this game either. I've purchased 6 cars/trucks in the past 10 years and this is BY FAR the best experience I've ever had. I have walked out of dealerships before because of the attitude or lack on interest by the sales person. This was not at all our experience at Milnes Ford. Our salesman Eric Trandell bent over backwards to try to find the vehicle we wanted and when he couldn't find the exact vehicle we decided to order our Ford Explorer. He went through every step of the ordering process and explained the different features and which I thought was so helpful that he offered his opinion on certain features. When the vehicle arrived at the dealership Eric was waiting for us and took us right to our new vehicle which we were so pleased visually. Eric took the time to go through all the features that the vehicle was equipped with. The knowledge he had going through all the touch screens and explaining the features of our new vehicle. We traveled to Michigan last Friday, February 15, 2019 from Cincinnati to pick up a 7 week old puppy. We picked her up after 5 hours of driving and were starting the return trip when we encountered an issue with refilling gas; the small flap on the cap-less gas tank would not open. We went to the nearest dealership and were directed to Milnes Ford given we were at a GMC dealership at the time. We were met by Mike immediately upon arrival and the tech, Josh, quickly remedied the problem. We were back on road within 25 minutes and they refused to charge us for any service. Unreal! Thank you Mike and Josh for saving the day and provided exceptional customer service...even though we were from out of town! We drove 55 miles on a Saturday to look at the vehicle. Cody was busy when we got there and another salesperson immediately filled in for him. He was cheerful and helpful. Cody was waiting for us when we returned from the test drive and answered all our questions and concerns. I have never been treated better at any other car dealership than Milnes! My friend recommended me to Blake Milnes and his sister Brooke Milnes to help me with my car. He was so kind and considerate and treated me like family. Very humble and I have honestly never been treated better. I totally love his sister Brooke too! Proud to know the both of them.
