Bottom line: My first visit to Milo's Cafe was excellent. Nice decor, helpful staff, delicious food and beverage in the hot latte/blueberry muffin/prosciutto salad choices I had there. The Deets: I saw Milo's Cafe pop up on my Yelp radar recently and finding it just down the road from my place, decided to check it out. It is located in one of the older "cinder block" type buildings on Chapel Hill Rd/Hwy 54 in Morrisville. They have done well with decor inside and out, injecting some charm in what is available in that structure. The mood is charming coffee shop/cafe with a bit of bright and modern thrown in, they have definitely revamped the space. Going in, there is plenty of seating space available in booth, table, and sofa areas with also limited outside seating. The booth space against the wall inside has power outlets available and they have Wi-Fi available also. Coming up to the ordering counter, staff was welcoming and very helpful. They have coffee and other related beverages (including some wine/beer), salads, sandwiches, baked goods (in display case), and morning bites on the menu as well as a seasonal menu on the wall. For my visit I tried their hot latte, a blueberry muffin, and their prosciutto salad. The staff give you a number to take to your table/seat and they will bring out and deliver each ordered item as it is ready. The latte was awesome, no notes. The blueberry muffin I thought might be tough and dry coming in late afternoon but I was delightfully surprised in how delicious it was even when I decided not to get it warmed up and had plenty of blueberries inside. The prosciutto salad (including arugula, parmesan, mozzarella, pesto and I skipped the cherry tomatoes, personal preference). The salad was perfect, balanced with meat and salad components and tasted fresh as well as delicious. OMG Guys! This place is sooo good! We ordered the avocado toast and it came with a balsamic dressed salad that was delicious. Also the salmon focaccia with egg was delicious. Warm tasty scrambled egg and smoked salmon with avocado and dressed with a delicious sauce. My husband got the granola bowl and it was fresh and delicious. Very disappointed . I ordered meat dish by accident and am a vegetarian . I was surprised by lack of concern and not half a second discussion about it . The person on counter can learn more skills about how to be on public facing Job . Even if he could not anything about wrong order , my mistake I agree , he could have shown some concern . This cafe is brand new and the best matcha latte I have had. I had the seasonal coconut matcha latte and it was amazing. My boyfriend had an americano and he also really enjoyed it. Being brand new they are still working on getting a bit of a flow but the staff was incredibly nice and friendly and we had no problem waiting a bit (we also went on a busy Saturday morning). It is very clean and plenty of different seating spaces. My only complaint is that anything added onto your drinks is very expensive and not listed on the menu- an extra shot of espresso was $2.50 when it is normally $1. Otherwise the base prices are fair for a cafe. Next time I plan on trying some of the food that sounded great. read more

I'm a sucker for a good coffee shop so I had to stop by as soon as I heard Milo Cafe was in the area. I was a little disappointed. My coffee order is always pretty basic (because when you're drinking good coffee you don't need all the additives). I ordered a simple cold brew with a splash of oat milk. It came out to over $7. Which surprised me being that the menu showed $4 for a cold brew. It tasted more like iced coffee instead of cold brew unfortunately. Kind of watered down. I asked for more coffee to be added, thinking the oat milk diluted it too much - but that still didn't help :(. They had a small selection of sandwiches and salad plus pastries and a few breakfast items. The atmosphere was cute. Plenty of tables for working or lounging. There was ample parking as well. I visited in the middle of the day. Maybe I'll give it another try in the morning to see if I have a better experience. read more

Service is great but has an awkward time getting out food when the line at the counter is blocking their one way to and from the kitchen. The inside is cute, you can tell they tried to make everything look clean and trendy. The parking is super chaotic- I highly recommend you back into your spot so you can get out easily. It gets very busy starting at 10:30am. They have some fun items on their seasonal menus (food and drink), so be sure to check that out! Went here for a quick lunch yesterday, because you know us yelpers always want to get the skinny on new places. I'll start with the service the person at the counter that you walk up to and order was very friendly, I overheard her with a few customers ahead of me make some recommendations and say what some of her favorites were. When it was my turn she explained they didn't have sweet tea but that she would sweeten the iced tea for me as well as explained to be exactly what chicken schnitzel was. After her explanation of the sandwich I was sold. The decor is so cute, it's definitely a great place to come and relax and gives a very upscale but comfortable feel. A step above regular coffee shop decor but you still have that sense of peace. I did notice they had a board with seasonal specials and that they make some of their syrups for the coffees on site. These are two top things in my book. Finally when I got back to my office I took a bite of my sandwich and it was really good. The chicken was cooked well and flavorful, it comes with a slaw that was nice and crispy, the only thing I would say is it could have been a more spicy mayo but other than that I really enjoyed it. It seemed a tiny bit expensive for the sandwich at $17 dollars but you could tell it was good quality. Overall it's a nice addition to Morrisville and I will be sure to come again. read more

I almost don't want to do this review because I want to keep this little gem of a cafe a secret but I can't do that because it genuinely deserves some praise. Milo's is super cozy and quaint with just downright good food and cafe drinks. I bring my husband, my friends, and my clients here because the atmosphere isn't one of those pretentious coffee joints and everyone enjoys it. I'm still exploring the menu, but thus far I haven't been dissatisfied or disappointed! So far we have tried: ham and cheese croissant, goat cheese toast, avocado toast with egg, the Mediterranean chicken salad, the lavender lemonade, and the iced matcha latte! All of which I would like get and have gotten again! This cute cafe tucked away in Morrisville is simply amazing. I just don't understand how I've missed this place all this time. Plenty of indoor seating and outdoor as well. Very cute interior.The service was great and my food was brought out pretty quickly. They had a pretty nice spring collection of drinks which I'm excited to go back and explore. I got the cherry blossom matcha latte which wasn't bad. I just couldn't really taste much of the cherry blossom flavor. For brunch, I got the salmon egg focaccia which was delish! The bread was so soft and just perfect. Excellent sandwich. However, I do think $18 for a sandwich is quite on the pricey end for a cafe so giving 4 stars for that. read more

Overall, this cafe is great! Super cute cafe in the town of Morrisville who truthfully needs more fun places to hangout. The coffee is good and the staff is very friendly. The space is huge to allow for people to hangout, work, or enjoy their coffee. A few things they can work on are possibly staffing a few more people in the front of house. The barista is doing a fabulous job this busy Saturday; however, she is doing the job of 4 people with a line out the door with no help from other staff. Food, orders, and being greeted are not happening in a timely fashion or your drink or food sits to get cold because she is busy doing the job of 4. This is not to fault the barista. She is keeping her composure and ensuring everyone is having a great experience. The coffee overall is good.my boyfriend and I both ordered a mocha which was good and very chocolatey. I do wish, because they have their own kitchen, they made their own syrups as Monin syrups are things I have at home and do not have to pay $6 to consume. I think their own homemade syrups would elevate this place to a greater level and compete even more with other coffee shops. Lastly, be mindful of parking when you come here. Milos cafe succeeded in finally having a place in this area that has character. It's the type of place you think of when you hear "local coffee shop". I'm excited that we finally got something like this in the triangle area. Morrisville lacks this type of place heavily. Service: Our barista was great. There were a lot of people in line and she was making the drinks, taking orders, and running the food. An area of improvement would be maybe 1-2 more people staffed to keep this operation smooth. Food: got a morning bun. Nothing to complain about here. Solid pastry. Coffee: ordered a mocha. Mocha was definitely on the sweeter side but still enjoyed it!
