    Chicken Chile Verde Enchiladas
    Michael F.

This was a neat stop right off the freeway. Literally an old diner that has been kept up during the years. Service was friendly and helpful, always anticipating what we needed. I ordered the Chicken Chile Verde Enchiladas for breakfast, which came with eggs, potatos and bread on the side. These enchiladas were really tasty, the verde salsa was delicious. The ranch beans served on the side had a nice spice to them and they tasted great. The biscuits were very dense and fresh,.maybe too dense for this meal. The gravy was served hot and was tasty. Overall, a nice stop for breakfast!

Went out for breakfast with the fam and ended up stepping right into a classic. This spot serves up a major old-school diner vibe, and the hospitality matches the atmosphere, we were seated immediately, and our server was incredibly attentive throughout the meal. The Dish: I went with the pumpkin pancakes topped with pecan butter, plus a side of bacon. Fun fact: this exact dish was actually featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives! The Flavor Profile: To say these pumpkin pancakes were good is an understatement, they were absolutely to die for. As the pecan butter melted over the top, it created the perfect rich sauce, and the crunchy pecan bits scattered throughout the pancakes gave every single bite an amazing texture. Eating this felt exactly like a cozy October morning. The Verdict: Between the perfect diner nostalgia and those incredible pancakes, this breakfast was a total home run. If you're looking for ultimate comfort food that lives up to the TV hype, this place is a must-visit!

So happy to have stumbled upon this place on our drive from LA to Sacramento. Great diner experience, super friendly staff, clean place, good music and best of all amazing food at reasonable prices. Shout out to Avery, keep up the great work! Big servings with plenty of leftovers for late night snacks or next day breakfast. The Texas chilli omelette is out of this world good. Comes with choice of potatoes plus sides like pancake or biscuit & gravy. The omelette divorciado is a good option for those who can't decide between red or green chile as you get to enjoy both. They also have mimosa flight which is a nice touch for a diner. Off hwy 99 quick detour. Will come back here for sure. Highly recommended.

We loved this place!! The service was above and beyond, and the inside of the restaurant is just adorable like a fifties diner. The food was fresh made from scratch and reminded me of my grandma's cooking. We decided to have breakfast for dinner. We ordered the chickenand waffles, cowboy potatoes, eggs and biscuits and gravy. My grandson had hot chocolate and I had a bloody mary, both were delicious. The fried chicken was the best fried chicken that I have had in many years. Margot was our server and she answered all of our questions. I asked her about their clam chowder and she said, let me bring you both a sample, so that was really nice and let me tell you that clam chowder is wonderful, soooo good! We can't wait to go back and try some of their other menu items and some of their specials!

I haven't felt well all weekend, so making breakfast did not sound like fun after sleeping in. So I decided to bring my girls with me to Milt's for breakfast this morning. We were seated right away, even though they were clearly busy. Our waitress was super attentive and provided great, fast service. The restaurant was clean and had a cherry vibe. Our food came out fairly quick and was delicious. We placed a to go order for my husband that came out with the check, so that was perfect so it was nice and hot for him when we got home. We will definitely be back, the four of us ate for $65 before tip, and the three of us had drinks other than water! I'm so glad they decided to change this place back to Milt's!

This place is a little off of the beaten path for us, but when in need of a "big salad" like Elaine from Seinfeld, you go where you need to go. And since it's open on a Friday night, it fits my "no cook Friday" plans. The staff is super friendly and the menu is basic diner with a few extras, including monthly specials. I like how it's old, with the counter in the center of the room and a bar, feels nostalgic. I am giving 4 stars, because some nights the food is just so-so or sub par and sometimes it's awesome. I feel like it depends on the cook. I swear last time they served me some re-fried fries! Sad, but true, and my friend got a rather soggy chicken fried steak. Try to keep improving on consistency in the kitchen and this place will be golden!!

The staff is always nice. The interior has been updated as well as the exterior The have outdoor seating that has a private ambiance as it is closed off from the surrounding area I love their basque soup it's basically a vegan soup if you've had cabbage soup this is similar just added potatoes. It's so good one of the waitresses recommended it to me and I've been enjoying it since that day. Great vegan option My husband had the steak and eggs $30 He said the steak was so very well seasoned and tender.

I'm giving a generous four stars in light of what this is: an old-school diner. My husband was quite happy with his cod, crunchy mixed vegetables, and rice that wasn't over salted. My turkey sandwich was a bit on the blah side. The fries were nicely seasoned, though. The place looks very clean, and the manager was quite accommodating for our takeout. They missed my online order request to swap out the cheese on the sandwich, though. In short, if an old-fashioned diner is what you're looking for, this is a good choice, but it's definitely not upscale dining.

A Delicious Thank You to Teachers!…read more What an incredibly thoughtful way to give back to the community! One of our teachers at school entered a drawing for a free catered lunch from Locale Farm to Table, and we were so lucky to win! The drawing was the owner Heather's way of giving back and showing her appreciation for teachers. She was especially touched by our teacher's story, which made the win feel even more meaningful. Many of us who work at the school already dine at Locale and absolutely love the food, so we knew we were in for a treat. Heather brought some of their most popular dishes, including a hot honey goat cheese spread with Pyrenees bread, roasted butternut squash and Brussels sprouts, a fresh garden salad, and a chocolate and strawberry pastry for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious! What really stood out, though, was how much thought Heather put into making sure everyone could enjoy the meal. She heard that we had some vegetarians among us and went above and beyond by preparing additional dishes without bacon so everyone had plenty to eat. That extra touch meant so much and really showed how genuinely caring and thoughtful she is. Having this incredible meal right before the first day of school was such a special treat. Teachers and school staff work incredibly hard, and feeling appreciated in such a generous way was truly wonderful. Thank you, Heather, for your generosity, kindness, and for supporting our school community! We are so grateful, and, of course, already looking forward to our next visit to Locale!

I also have to give Firestone Grill credit for the sauces. They gave me two large containers of BBQ sauce AND two generous containers of dressing. As someone who hates when restaurants give you one tiny sauce for an entire meal, I appreciated that more than I probably should. No sauce rationing over here! Absolutely unacceptable experience…read more I completely understand that accidents happen. When my server spilled a little of my drink on me while serving it, I didn't make a big deal about it. That was clearly an accident, and I understand that. But then she proceeded to spill an entire bowl of hot rice all over me. That is a completely different situation. Having hot food dumped onto you is not something a customer should simply be expected to shrug off. And somehow, the experience got even worse. They didn't even clean up the rice after it was spilled all over me. The rice was left on the floor for the rest of our meal. We were literally stepping on it throughout the rest of our dining experience. I shouldn't have to explain why leaving food all over the floor after it has been dumped onto a customer is unacceptable. What made the situation even more insulting was how it was handled when the bill came. My meal had not been comped at all. I asked if the meal could be taken off, and instead of simply acknowledging what happened and apologizing, my server immediately became defensive. She told me the food was temperature-controlled and therefore "wasn't too hot," and explained that my meal wasn't being comped because what happened was "an accident." That response was honestly unbelievable. Yes, spilling a drink is an accident. Spilling an entire bowl of hot food onto a paying customer and then minimizing the incident afterward is an entirely different matter. Whether the food was technically at a controlled temperature is beside the point. I was still covered in food, and then the food was left all over the floor around our table for the remainder of our meal. I was eventually told that the only thing they could offer was 50% off my meal--they supposedly couldn't comp it. After having an entire bowl of hot food spilled all over me, I expected at the very least some genuine accountability, an apology, and basic customer service. Instead, I felt like I was being inconvenienced for being upset about something that happened to me. Accidents happen. Poor customer service is a choice. The way this restaurant handled the entire situation was incredibly disappointing and disrespectful. The food could have been incredible, but the experience was completely ruined. Being covered in rice, having it left on the floor while we continued eating, and then being met with excuses rather than accountability is not what I consider acceptable restaurant service. Trash experience. I will not be returning. Save your money.

It was my choice to come here based on the reviews but both of us were really disappointed. First of all some items are only available certain times of the month, which was a letdown because I really wanted to have something they didn't have that day. Walking in you have to write your name down on a sheet of paper for the wait list, then you are called and taken to you table. Service is Friendly, establishment is clean and spacious for a small place. The menu offers variety. The coffee is a solid 10/10 and so is the orange juice. The food- I had the country fried steak with over medium eggs, country potatoes and biscuits and gravy. My rating for my meal was a 4/10. There was no real flavor in the gravy & the sausage they used used as umph was just savorless meat. The biscuits were bulky, tough but fresh. The fried steak lacked so much seasoning, both meat and the coating/batter. The potatoes were not steaming hot and the steak was thin and tough. My baby had the chile verde skillet and he was SHOCKED the skillet wasn't even HOT. As you can cleary see in the pictures the cheese wasn't even melted ‍ and again the skillet was cool to the touch. Chile verde has good flavor but the ordering a skillet and it being cold threw the mind off lol. Omg the salsa that they offer just tasted like tomato water, no flavor and definitely no heat. No huevo rancheros and no open face sandwich was available the day we went. I'm sorry but Idk how people are giving this place such high reviews with the vapid food they are serving. Needless to say my hubby and I will not be returning. If you're wondering why hubby finished his food, it's because we really needed to get our calories back lol and we hate having to have our money go to waste.
