Once again, we had a wonderful brunch date here. Their muffins are a must try! I enjoyed their chilaquiles, while my husband ordered an omelette. We can't wait to visit this restaurant again. 5/5 stars for food, ambiance, and great service

Came for an early dinner on the road to home and we were promptly seated and drink order taken. Service was attentive the whole time, food was as expected and all was great! The wings were a bit pricey and the same cost as the meal . I ordered a honey bran muffin to go, and they are smaller than I remember. So many Mimi's have closed that it was nice to see one still here. It was good, but nothing really great or special. I would probably pick a different place next time I'm in the area.

This Mimi's Cafe has been open since I was in high school. That's like over 20 years ago. I only went there once when it first opened and for some reason, I told my life let's go to Mini's Cafe. I got the pot pie which had a good amount of chicken. I do prefer more sauce in it. My wife got the burger which was decent. The food doesn't wow me, but it feels kind of homey. Like that feeling when Marie Callendars was still around. Are waitress was nice and attentive. I give it 3 stars, because it doesn't wow me, but it is a solid restaurant.

It's been a long time since we've eaten at Mimi's Cafe. We were here celebrating my brother in law's birthday. I was surprised the parking lot seemed empty. Well, to be fair, the parking lot to all the businesses in this side of the shopping center looks like a ghost town. Ample parking for sure. We were a group of ten for Sunday dinner. I ordered the French Quarter Burger without the bun with a side house salad. It was delicious! I was told the Bacon Bleu Cheese & Walnut salad was good. The Asian Chicken Salad was another hit. I was told the Jambalaya was delicious! The French Pot Roast was amazing. The Mushroom & Brie Melt was good. The Turkey Royale and the Five-Way Grilled Cheese were good. The warm bread and butter was devoured by our group FAST! The different muffins were also a hit. Especially the upside down pineapple muffins. Overall, we enjoyed our outing. A shared family meal is always a blessing. Our waitress worked hard bringing the meals and refilling the drinks. She checked in on us often. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. The price point was very competitive.

Food was delicious, and the blackberry mimosa was perfect! Our server, Jaden, was friendly, attentive, and very easy on the eyes too . Everything we ordered was fantastic, and the whole experience was great. Definitely coming back!

Came here with a group of 10 friends for breakfast; greeted and seated within minutes. All of us, except for 3, got coffee which was piping hot and fresh. Popular plates ordered were the Salmon Benedict, Chicken and waffles and the chorizo breakfast omelette. Everyone enjoyed their plates; I thought my omelette was ok. The chorizo was ground too fine and overcooked; I wish there was more of a chew to it, or at least have them diced. Waitress was attentive with refilling water and coffee. Overall a good breakfast for the group; just wish mine was "raveable" (it was a new item to the menu too).

It's been a while since I've been here. There muffins come out pipping hot. When I cut into it, I saw steam coming out. You can't get it better than that! Mimi still have the best muffin in town! The green goddess salad with salmon was delicious. It's a good place to meet up and share a few dishes and just catch up with family and friends.

Great service. Great food!! I ordered a veggie egg whites omelette. Many other times, the food was delicious too!! They do not disappoint!! Next time I'll try the salmon benedict or chicken & waffles.

I forgot how much I adore this place! Friendly staff, Lupe was great! homey feel, and a nice selection of comfort faves and healthy options. I got the classic mimis French onion soup and their new green goddess salad came to $20 can't beat that.

My review is solely on their holiday menu and service. We always seem to visit for the holidays, but be sure to make a reservation! Even with a reservation, you're bound to wait. Our waits averaged from 30-40 minutes, WITH a reservation. Imagine if you don't. Whomever are the staff seating people should figure out a new strategy. Their holiday menu is pretty small, but if they offer brunch it helps with your selection. The lunch menu has big portions. We enjoyed their steak and shrimp pasta. Although we like their brunch menu better. Our server was so sweet! I wish I got her name because she deserves some recognition for being able to handle so many people during that time period, while being super nice and calm. Thank you to our server for making our time pleasant!

    Quiche and potatoes

We came for Mother's Day, and while I usually give restaurants grace on busy holidays, this experience was disappointing. The lobby was messy and covered in leaves, which wasn't a great first impression. It took about 20 minutes just to get water and place our order, and another 35-40 minutes to receive our food. I ordered the quiche and potatoes, but unfortunately, the food didn't taste fresh. What really threw me off was watching a server shake vegetables out of plastic microwaveable packaging directly onto a plate--something I've never seen in a dine-in restaurant. Throughout the meal, no one came by to refill our waters or check in on us, and after we finished eating, we waited over 20 minutes just to get the check. The only highlight was the muffins--they were genuinely delicious and the best part of the meal.

    Bar was super nice !

The menu is customized to say our names and 5th anniversary on top. My Husband's name was misspelled, but we had a good laugh about that. Drink were yummy. The location was beautiful. Only other thing was that we were told they take a photo of us and put it into a keepsake, which we didn't get to unfortunately experience. Someone offered to take a photo of us on one of our phones.

We had checked online and even called and were told no tables, but figured maybe we could grab a spot at the bar. When we walked in, I thought, " What's the harm in asking"...and somehow a table for two had just opened up. One of those meant-to-be moments. I started with a martini, which was great, and I ordered the macadamia crusted halibut special with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The fish itself was really good. The potatoes needed a little help, though. I definitely wish I had asked for extra sauce and a little salt and pepper, but I did appreciate that they tasted homemade with those bigger chunks. We also got the French onion soup to start, and that was so good. It had little tips of filet in it, and honestly, that might have been my favorite part of the whole meal. My husband ordered the stuffed chicken, and this is where things kind of went sideways. The chicken was really dry, and then halfway through, he bit down on what looked like a cherry pit. Definitely not something you expect, and kind of a mood killer. We called the waiter over, and they were very apologetic, and the service the entire night really was great. But between the dry chicken and that surprise, we were kind of done at that point. We were planning on dessert, but just didn't even feel like it anymore. That said, we've been here before and have had really great meals, which is why I wouldn't write it off. The service was great, everything was clean, and it still has that nice, classic feel. Also, a side note, I used the restroom before we left, and I have to say, as a mom, seeing an actual changing station with drawers and supplies made me so happy. I remember those flimsy fold down tables and being nervous using them, so this felt like such a thoughtful touch. They even had a bidet, which I tried to check out, but it wasn't working. Helpful tip: Get the French onion soup, and if your dish comes with a sauce...ask for extra. Not a perfect night, but enough good here that we'd come back again.

The menus came with a wax seal on them. The silverware and plating was perfect. Aesthetically, the space was beautiful. Our server and the staff were attentive. Napkins were folded when you went to the bathroom and things like that. I love that.   I had the "It Must Be Spring" made with sarpa di poli grappa, elderflower, lemon, basil, and prosecco. It seemed like their take on/ an elevated hugo spritz. It was light and refreshing.   Caroline had the L'Ultravioletto with vodka, creme de violette, herbal amaro, orgeat, raspberry, lemon, and egg white. The presentation was gorgeous. I really enjoyed the eggwhite frothiness of this drink..  There was an amuse-bouche delivered that was a mini lobster roll type bite. The dough was so fluffy and light, and the aioli was such a perfect sauce choice.  We started with the brioche with carmelized onion butter and smoked maldon. The bread was literally glistening, in the best way. For the crudi course, I had the hamachi crudi which came with cured and charred hamachi, compressed strawberry, cucumber, and chili crisp. The plating was gorgeous, and the flavors were marvelous together. For the primi course, Caroline had the polpo which was balsamic glazed octopus with calabrian chili, ink, and potato gnocchi. This octopus was easily in the top two octopus I've ever had. It was so well cooked. The coating was almost sweet, like a caramelized coating. For my primi course, I had the spring pea vellutata with watercress, pickled shrimp, marcona almonds, and lemon ricotta. I would describe it as a springy deconstructed split pea soup. Caroline had the Agnolotti pasta with goat cheese, pine nuts, fava beans, morels, and pesto. This was not our favorite dish of the evening, but we still polished off the plate. I was expecting more of a pesto pasta situation based on the description, but there were just little tiny dabs of pesto on the plate. Personally, I am a heavy pesto gal, so I think that was my expectation. This spring time has made me appreciate fava beans. This was my first time trying morels, but I think I need to re-try them because I didn't really form an opinion based on this experience.  I had the bucatini with sardines, anchovy, green garlic puree, and an artichoke gremolata. Personally, I didn't love the scales still on the fish, but they were tolerable. The garlic was really flavorful. I don't think I necessarily tasted the artichoke, but it was a fun thing to include.  There was a palate cleanser that was brought out that was some sort of sorbet-adjacent dessert. It was fruit flavor, I believe raspberry or pomegranate. Perfect separation for Caroline's dish, but since both of mine were fish, I would have preferred it after my pea dish.  With my main dish, I had a glass of the Torre Mora Scalunera Etna Rosato DOC (2024) from Nerello Mascalese grapes from Sicily. How appropriate given my recent Sicily travels. It was light and went nicely with my main. I wanted a cab, but it wasn't a good pairing with my main. I am glad I didn't get the cab though because it wasn't my favorite when I tried Caroline's glass.  I had the branzino with fennel, english peas, potato, pearl onion confit, and trout roe. Personally, I am glad it was just a filet, rather than a full fish, especially at a nice restaurant. The potato was nice and definitely added substance to the dish. I have had a fair amount of trout roe recently. It kind of gives savory boba lol. The pea base was lovely and complimented the fish perfectly. The skin with the pea mixture added a nice seasoning to the fish.  Caroline, who is a lover of lamb, had the lamb with lingonberry demi, smoked celery root, and roasted red beets. I love beets, so I am never going to complain about them being on the plate. I was not in love with this dish. I prefer a more medium cook to my meat, so this was a little undercooked for me. It felt blah and lacking seasoning to me. I liked the flaky salt, but the lingonberry I was expecting more from.  They brought us two little complimentary desserts: a Madeline and a puff pastry. Both were lovely and was so kind of them to include with our meal. Caroline had the bomboloni with lemon curd, fennel butterscotch tuile, and toasted fennel gelato. I love a non-traditional ice cream flavor, and this one was no different. It was creamy and light but still had the fennel flavor, front and center. I loved that the lemon curd was inside, rather than a nutella or chocolate. The sugar coating was evenly distributed, and the bomboloni came out at a perfect temperature.  I am a sucker for an olive oil cake, so I had the ciambella kumquat custard, with limoncello marscapone. I loved the kumquat custard. The olive oil cake could have been more olive oil forward, but all of these components together were a yummy bite.

The food does not deliver on the promises of these first observances. We each chose the 5 course menu and shared bites to try as many things as possible. The highlights: Carne Crudo and Composed Oysters were solid. Asparagus and Prosciutto was perfection with frisee and 6 minute egg. Vinaigrette perfect. Lasagna was tiny layers of pure decadence. The lows: The pulpo was so over cooked you could barely cut it with a knife. The fettuccine with lobster and shrimp was cloying and seafood was also over cooked. The lamb lacked any real presence and was completely taken over by the accompanying sauces. The branzino was basically inedible. The thinnest of filets that could not be separated with a fork and barely broken in to pieces with help of a knife. Honestly the worst branzino I've been served in a restaurant. For the price I would never recommend Allora. And honestly, I wish I would have read some previous reviews before assuming the quality of food.

Dipping it in the sauce helped a little bit but not enough for us to be able to finish it all. Also had the REV burger. It was okay but nothing stood out. Service was good.

Slightly cold and only one working heater outside, apparently their heaters are not super reliable. Service was good even tho we were outside and out of the way. Got a Cozumelchorizo omelette with egg whites and potatoes. Next time I'll try the NOLA omelette and crispy hash browns. Also got a pecan praline French toast from the Mardi Gras special menu. Delicious and didn't need any syrup as it was sweet enough. Reheated well the next day. Portions were good sized and beautifully presented. Food took a while to come out but all items were delicious. Everyone who ate with us enjoyed their food. Will def be back.

Its my little sisters bday and I wanted to enjoy mimosas with her yet I am sober I asked for a mock mimosa the server WHO I CLEARLY TOLD "I'm looking for NA with no pineapple due to allergy" he said that's no problem we can do that. And what arrives? A mimosa with pineapple unfortunately I took a sip knew right away and asked for them To be removed (thinking it was just an accident) my upper lip is now swollen due to the allergic reaction. Then i ordered my food i ask for no bacon due to "Lent" I gave up pork, yet he brought out double Bacon another BIG mistake and a slap in my face as a consumer. I was furious. Servers and kitchen staff constantly argued amongst each other with raised voices over orders including mine & others it was very disruptive and clear tension between Cooks and servers. The only reason I didn't confront anyone was because I was with my wife, sister (birthday girl) and my 10 month old daughter. I will be calling the place and asking for a refund for the horrible experience, lack of professionalism, lack of customer care for allergies, and being socially ignorant to those who ask for no pork which is my religious preference. Not only was this place awful it was disrespectful.

There are tables with chairs, couches, and a bar with seating. Theres also shelves and a fridge to purchase bottles. Wednesday's you get $10 off bottles I was greeted and well taken care of by Hannah. I sampled two reds and settled on the chilled cab for the evening. Their kitchen is not open during the week so keep that in mind. I am excited to come back and try the bites. The chef came from the Kitchen, so you know it should be good! I greatly appreciate the thought and intention behind sourcing the wines. Organic/regenerative vineyards, small family businesses, and supports women and minority owned too. Excited to continue to support this little hidden gem that should not be so hidden!

They also sell wine by the bottle and I love the fact that they feature independent wine producers. On the weekends they have food although I didn't try anything on the menu this go around. Because I was driving, I got a half pour of their local red using carbonic fermentation. Chatting with the server, I realized that this was just what I needed: a calming respite from walking around while savoring a delicious glass of red. They have a wine membership with two options at $60 for two bottles or $150 for three bottles a month. Lovely concept and space, will be back for sure!
