Family invited us to dine here for Thanksgiving dinner. First time having a holiday meal out and first time at Mimi's. Our reservation was for 1:15 and we were seated on time. Fifteen minutes later our drink order was taken and delivered five minutes later. At 1:50 our waitress appeared and took our dinner orders. Our food started to arrive at 2:20. Yes the restaurant was very busy but they weren't adequately prepared in my opinion. The holiday turkey meal was $31.99. For the cheapest meat you can buy this to me was price gauging. The meal came with soup or a choice of salads and a small piece of pie for dessert. They did have two different options for people that don't like turkey. Either salmon or a hamburger. The turkey dinner was huge. It was not some processed turkey product. It all tasted good except there was too much salt in the gravy which was put over almost everything. I wish cooks would learn that salt can be added but not removed. The restaurant was big and we had a good table. It wasn't so loud that we could hear each other. Our waitress was nice and efficient.

I've lived in the vicinity of this Mimi's Cafe for about 17 years and I've never had the chance to come in. Well, I wanted breakfast and I was tired of our usual spots, so we decided to come in and give this place a try for the first time. Walking in on a Saturday, late morning, there were quite a few people in but it wasn't busy at all. We were sat right away in a booth near the front door. The decor is a bit dated but I kind of liked the old home/country living feel about the place. Extremely nostalgic. I'd only be mad about outdated if the place smelled or was visibly dirty, which is NOT the case here. It's very clean in here. Our server was good and checked up on us fairly frequently. She was nice but not overly, the perfect combination of attentiveness and politeness I like in a server. We got two iced coffees and they were excellent. I liked their presentation, definitely wasn't expecting that. Our meals came fairly quickly and we both enjoyed what we ordered. I will admit I wasn't a huge fan of the potatoes on my plate but there was nothing "wrong" with them. I'm not a fan of overly seasoned things, especially potatoes, but my husband thought they were fine. We liked Mimi's enough that we talked about what we'd order when we came back in and that we'd want to come in for dinner sometime. Overall, a solid place for a good meal.

This was my first time ever ordering from Mimi's Cafe and I was very excited. I was in from California and I ordered a delivery order to my hotel. Came quick and presentation was perfect. The turkey club was not very good. The croissant was hard as a rock. They put mayonnaise when i specifically requested there not to be any. The turkey was slimy and had an odd taste. Fries were good and well seasoned. The Dubai chocolate muffin was smashed and sloppily made. It was also dense and extremely dry. Bummer, as I have never tried anything that flavor before. My wife enjoyed her French toast and her eggs. I ate her bacon but there were several pieces raw, not fully cooked all the way. I guess it's just hit and miss.

We just got back from our vacation and havent done a grocery run so we decided to have breakfast somewhere. We've been seeing this place beside mary calenders and we said give it a try. I'm glad i ordered the eggs and bacon croissant, it was delicious. The fried chicken and waffle tho, something feels missing but not bad. We saw that they have a lot in their menu so we want to try them again next time.

We just love Mimi's. It is very cozy inside. It is beautifully decorated with the authentic French theme. The place is very clean. We have been here several times now and every visit has been a great experience. Pleasant atmosphere with nice background music at the proper volume level. You can actually hold a conversation. Menu was quite large with a good number of "new" and seasonal offerings. Food came out fairly quick and also our food was prepared fresh. We have tried different dishes and every single one was delicious. The food was tasty , fresh and served in nice portions! The food was made from scratch and they have seasonal menu too. Our favorite dish is: the French Pot Roast- it's so good!! And also their French Onion Soup is to die for, so yummy! Their muffins and Madeline's are made from scratch daily and you can taste the difference in the freshly baked food. ( which is so rare these days). Staff were friendly and professional. We were greeted with a smile and everyone was very nice, attentive and inviting . We have met the general manager Damon and he was very friendly, welcoming and you can tell that he truly cares about his customers. We have felt appreciated and we had a great experience. Overall: My wife and I love Mimi's! It's a great restaurant if you want to taste new flavors , delicious dishes and experience French cuisine.We highly recommend this place.

I haven't been here for a long time. Came here around 730ish p.m. Thursday night. Not full, maybe 5 tables were occupied. It waiter John is superb. I noticed their menu is huge compared to 7 years ago. I ordered turkey dinner and it wasn't bad at all and hubby ordered half roasted chicken. The portions were just right. The chicken was slightly dry but not bad. Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. Noise level low. Plenty of parking!!

I'm from out of town, so the weather to me has been very cold which made me crave corn chowder. Yelp showed me Mimi's Cafe as a recommendation, so I decided to try it out. I was skeptical, especially since the reviews weren't so great. My nieces and I arrived around 5:30pm, it was already dark outside. Once we walked in, we noticed that it was big inside, however, it was EMPTY. No other customers. We thought okay, fine, we'll still try. The whole time we were there, there was only one other family that ended up coming in. The service. Our waiter was great! He was friendly and uplifting, considering we were the only people anyway. We he took our order, he offered to spilt our pot roast for us since my niece & I were sharing. We really appreciated the offer. He also checked in on us often. The food. Yikes. Everything looked and sounded so good. The latte I got, was cold and didn't have any mocha flavoring. It was kind of like an unsweetened cocoa milk. The spinach dip. Don't order. Tasted like cardboard honestly. It had no taste at all. It even had this weird after taste. The pot roast, this was too flavorful. It was salty and kind of like shoyu-y??? Very strong taste. I like that the meat was soft. Maybe it would've been good with rice to balance out the taste? But yeah, the corn chowder, way to cheesy taste. Not a fan of cheese in my chowder, plus it came out cold. I'm sorry, but the food experience wasn't great at all for us.

My server here was great today! I could not ask for better service or a friendlier server. Kudos to my waitress! I had the Salmon, strawberry salad. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The salad had the perfect amount of dressing. The criticism I would have is it came with way too many tomatoes. It wasn't proportional with the amount of lettuce at all. The orange needs to be segmented. Not left with the rind on, it's too difficult to eat that way. Rather than having tomatoes on the salad, I would actually suggest blue cheese crumbles. The Saturday morning manager and his team are awesome. They didn't miss a beat and when one of our plates had to go back he immediately took action to make sure we were compensated and taken care of. Let's just say this, I think this place has lost any credibility in atmosphere, appearance, flavor, and quality. I'm truly disappointed in the reheated meals. I don't think anything is fresh at all. I ordered Mimi's Cafe thru door dash. Delivery arrived on time for a work meeting I had which was great. I ordered the chicken and waffles based off of the picture they had on the website. The chicken tenders were dry and very bland. I like to have crunchy chicken tenders and these were soft. The waffles were very thick and it was delicious. Overall the meal I received was good. Just went to Mimi's for lunch about 2 o'clock when we got there half the tables were dirty and it seems nobody was around. I told my mom let's leave this place doesn't look good , but we stayed anyways, we had the worst service didn't even have silverware were water 30 minutes after we got there. Asked for bread the girl forgot, when I asked again, and she got mad and said she's the only one working. When our turkey dinner finally came, it was gross. My potatoes were the worst old and nasty looking ,broccoli was soggy and old and the turkey was so salty. After we left, I felt sick . My mom took hers home and threw it away. For the 1st time I went to the Henderson location. It looked old and rustic, the booth chairs had no cushion and it felt very uncomfortable. I ordered a cappuccino and it tasted awful, it was anything but coffee. The sample bread was very chewy and not fresh. My Egg Benedict's had no flavor and hardly any sauce. It just to be one of my favorite places, unfortunately that was my last try. I can't afford to spend money on awful food. For sure not a cheap place. I feel bad for tte servers, I Dont feel is their fault. They do try! and that's the only reason I gave it a 2 star. read more

Came for Brunch and never disappoints. The Mimosas did not taste cheap and we came just in time when it is $7 each. Jambalaya- tasty and had some spice, the rice was nice Mahi Mahi- mild and flavorful with the capers giving a yummy twist Mediterranean Eggs Benedict- took a little longer since they had to do my eggs again, I didn't even have to say anything they automatically spotted it out for me. And it came out perfect! So kudos for detail. Fish tacos- the fish was also delicious and the slaw it was mixed with had everybody picking at it for more. My parents are picky eaters even if we go to fancy places so it was nice to find a place they enjoy. read more

Stopped in with my daughters for lunch, hoping for a variety of options. We were not disappointed and all able to find something that suited us. I was initially undecided, but on the server Amber's recommendation, I got the Mediterranean chicken salad. Absolutely hit the spot on a 115-degree day. The over the top moment, though, is when I realized I couldn't take my leftovers (thus salad is massive), Amber offered a bag of ice to keep it cool in the car. 1000% will come back. Been craving this tomato basil soup from here for a while. Probably the best in town, I don't eat this enough. For the main I had the meatloaf, which surprisingly didn't have too much flavor. My mom always to us out to Mimi's when we were younger so when my mom found out there was one in Henderson she asked that I take her. We went in and as usual it was very beautifully decorated. The seating was comfortable and the waiter was very nice. The food I felt was a bit over priced especially after I tasted it. I ordered the French dip sandwich. The way it was built made it hard to eat and it fell apart before I could even put it in the broth. It came with no fries so I had to order those separate. That and a tea was $20. I did not order a desert however my mom did and there was a long hair in it. The waiter said he was sorry and offered another dessert however my mom decided against it. My mother might want to go again in the future but if Im picking the place it will not be Mimi's. read more

My friend and I had Thanksgiving dinner here a couple days ago. Although we were early, they seated us right away around 1:30. They brought us bread which was really good. My friend had a salad which she liked, and I had French onion soup for my starter, which was good for what it was. My friend wanted to come here and I wasn't bothered either way, just that I don't like green bean casserole they have and I asked if they could switch it out for corn or some other vegetable and the wait staff said they couldn't. Oh well, not a deal-breaker. They did not skimp on the Turkey - I had all white meat, and it was delicious. Stuffing was awesome too. They could have had more mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce but overall it was really, really good and we didn't leave hungry. Fast service and very friendly staff who all wished us Happy Thanksgiving. I would go back next year. For $30 for all you got, it was very good and fresh! read more

How can you possibly order your food on DoorDash and everything goes perfect and until you open the bag. How can a restaurant in Nevada surrounded by hotels and casinos send you your chicken and waffles for breakfast with no chicken? If I had just wanna waffles, I would've simply ordered a single order of waffles. What type of employee could possibly be in charge of bagging the food to go for door dash? You can't take your frustration out on DoorDash because they absolutely delivered on time and at my hotel as they have been doing for the last 12 days. Not only was there only waffles without the chicken the separate breakfast that I ordered was cold and I don't mean a little cold it was premade at 4AM type of cold! Saturday, March 11, was the 60th anniversary of a life-changing event. My wife and I went to Mimi's (Henderson) to celebrate. BIG MISTAKE. Despite only five occupied tables with two servers, we waited about ten minutes for service. An older, grumpy waitress with tattoos all over both arms took our order. Two bad omens, we should have left then. We ordered their sigmature pot roast three course meal to split. It took a LONG time. When grumpy waitress brought the "food", I was in disbelief and just stared at it. Mimi's current idea of pot roast was a kind of pot roast SOUP -- literally. Strands of beef floating in a sea of gravy atop mashed potatos -- YUCCCH ! I ate a spoonful and pushed it aside. Normally, I'd complain loudly about it, but I didn't want to upset my wife. Besides, grumpy no-name waitress had disappeared. The included chocolate "cake" was just as bad. I know cake; THIS was more like a mushy concoction of flavored sea sponge that had a VERY odd taste I couldn't identify. The celebration I had waited for since 1963 was ruined. When no-name finally showed up with the bill, I commented about the pot roast soup. She got all defensive and ARGUED with me over it that added Insult to injury. 60 frikkin years. We bagged up the soup because my wife will eat mud if there's enough salt in it, although I'm not sure which one she liked better. We had been occasional guests at Mimi's for more than 20-years. I picked up a Turkey meal on Thanksgiving Day around 11:15am. First, they tried to bill my order in the amount of $32 for a turkey meal. Which hardly had any turkey in it and very little gravy! The salad was horrible!! Only two small square slices of turkey that was tough and tasteless!!!! It took them 20 minutes to ring up my food for the $32 and something went wrong on the computer so I had to end up giving them cash to pay for the one meal and then it took them forever to get me the change from somewhere in the back room! What a nightmare! All of them did not know what they were doing! No organization on Thanksgiving Day! How sad! Also, they don't have the online ordering like they said they would have today which would include not only the turkey dinner plate but also a ham dinner plate and they said they didn't have no ham dinner plate when I got to this location and they don't even answer their phones. I think I have visited this place before years ago but things have sure changed We came in with a party of 9 for a birthday celebration !!!! Just before we sat down, a table of ten was sat and ordered, which I presume slowed down the entire kitchen. Anyhow, we order and our food eventually comes out, and both of our plates had burned food on them. Her sausage was burned, while my sliders were black. We sent both plates back, and were told they would be remade. Her plate comes back, and it is fine. Mine comes back, and there is next to no food on the rolls for the sliders. I tell the waitress at this point I'm no longer interested in breakfast, just take the plate back and I'll eat something else later. Five or so minutes later, the head waitress or manager comes over and shows me the receipt, explaining that she would not charge us for the breakfast I ordered because of the problems (and because I didn't eat it) and showing us the removed charge that she circled. I thanked her, and then paid for breakfast using the QR code on the receipt. Big mistake. I get the emailed receipt on Friday evening - and why it took all day to get it I don't understand - and the charge was not removed. This means I paid the restaurant for food the kitchen messed up twice that I didn't even eat! I paid for food that was burned and then non-existent. What the hell? I'm not even sure what to say about this. I don't want to dispute the charge with the credit card company because my wife ate her food and we both drank our coffee. But it is absolutely wrong and ethically horrible that I got charged for food I didn't eat. I sent an email to Babystacks on Friday asking for them to reverse the cost of my sliders, applying the amount back to the credit card I used to pay for breakfast. It is the only right solution to what has been a terrible all-around experience with the eatery. And here we are, three days later, and they haven't even bothered to respond. At all. We went to the old location all the time, and it took them a few months to move and open. And now I will NEVER go back. I paid for food that was messed up twice and that I didn't eat, and when I reached out to them to ask about it, I got nothing but silence. It isn't about the $15. It's about being completely inconsiderate and your head waitress lying to me. Never again.

Seeing as how it's the last Henderson spot which I hadn't tried, I decided to rectify that oversight today. I was thinking breakfast at first, but the Lamb Sandwich ($17.99) caught my eye. After clarifying the form of protein with the server, I said yes to this offering. I'm glad I did because it's a stunner. To start with, the bun is nice and soft. The pulled lamb is so tender and surprisingly free from gamy flavor, and whatever it's braised in does so much work making it irresistibly tasty. Then the tzatziki creaminess, tomato umaminess, and even the banana pepper tanginess really round out the flavors. Even the cucumber slices are perfectly portioned to add some crispiness and flavor. Fries come with the sandwich. I was hesitant since they were thick and also very brown. Fortunately, they were soft and fluffy inside, and there was enough crisp from the potato skins. They were actually a little undersalted too, but when I finally flagged down the server for some ketchup, I unlocked the code. The fries are just about perfect with a healthy amount of that Heinz goodness. I did get a bite of breakfast though. My friend's Ube Pancakes ($14.99) were cited as a dish to try on that top 100 list, and I can see why. There's plenty of ube flavor, and a good balance of a lightly crispy exterior and soft interior. The fresh mango and berries were a great touch, as was the whipped cream on the side. I'll have to have a full dish for myself one day. They offer one side with that omelet, and I chose two pancakes. I went for the Mexican Cajeta Pancakes (+$1.99), which were fluffy enough but not the absolute best. I did enjoy them with the dulce de leche and condensed milk combo more than the side syrup. I also asked the server for an agua fresca recommendation and went with it. The Jamaica ($3.49) wouldn't have been my choice, but the mildly sweet concoction worked great in between bites of chorizo omelet and also stayed sweet enough between pancake bites while revealing more of the tart hibiscus notes. Huevos Avenue is a very good overall restaurant that deserves much more business than I witnessed today, especially considering that Henderson still does not have as many great spots as it should. He took our drink orders while we waited for the rest of our party, and once they arrived, we were told about their cinnamon rolls. 2 people in our party were vegan so we skipped it, but I will be trying it when we come back. I got the orange juice to drink and the french toast with a side of grits (because I feel like it's rare to find a place that does just straight grits in Vegas). Orange juice was a good size for the price, and the side of grits was a hefty portion, I was super excited for that. The french toast had cream and fresh berries on top. The french toast was soaked and griddled to perfection, thick bread that takes on the moisture very well. And the berries kick it up a notch! They have a good selection of vegan and vegetarian food, which our friends loved! When we finished up, we were offered complimentary cookies. They were warm and sooooo good! The service here was phenomenal. Our waitress was so nice and we were having quite a laugh with her, we had a great time. It wasn't too busy in here and this place is kind of tucked away, but more people need to check it out! I will absolutely be coming back to try a savory breakfast along with that cinnamon roll!

I have enjoyed eating at the Mimi's Cafes in California over the past decade. I especially enjoy the Los Feliz location, always busy, lively, and clean. The staff is always friendly. I was excited to find that there is also a Mimi's Cafe in the Las Vegas area. I moved to Las Vegas in February, so I have been missing some of things that I had become accustomed to. On May 7, I met a friend at the Mimi's Cafe at 596 N Stephanie Street in Henderson. Upon walking in, I was surprised that there were only three tables at around 2pm, but I figured that probably people were having deliveries and take out instead of dining in. We waited for several minutes to be greeted as there was no one in the entry area. Finally a blonde woman spotted us from across the dining room and made her way slowly over to us. In audibly through her facemask, she asked if there were just two of us, no greeting, no smile, no concern at all with her presentation. My friend had never been to Mimi's, so I was excited to show him a new place to dine. At this point I was rather disappointed that the person who seated us seemed almost annoyed that there was another customer to serve. We were taken to our table. There were a total of three other tables in the dining room, and expansive area of empty tables, but she chose to sit us right next to a table of three people. Now I realize that Las Vegas is open to 80% capacity, but the idea is to spread people out, not sit them right next to another table. Now for the wait. At this time, waiting for someone to greet us at the table or even acknowledge our presence, I was able to really study the condition of the restaurant dining area. Dark, dingy, and uninviting. There was visible dust on the fixtures and wooden areas. The carpet was absolutely filthy. I am surprised that coming out of Covid closure that the restaurant was not deep cleaned during that time. I have attached a photo of the carpet where you can see the cleaner carpet along the wall and the filthy carpet in the areas that are walked on. If that were my carpet at home, I'd be too embarrassed to let anyone see it. The same is true of a restaurant. This is not filth from a short period of time, this is absolute lack of care over the long term. Disgusting. After returning from the restroom, the lady at the table adjacent to ours (a person I don't even know) leaded over and told us to avoid using the restroom at all cost, that is absolutely filthy and smells horrible. At 2pm. Finally the waitress Lisa made her way over to our table. Lisa was not rude, but she would not speak up to be heard when speaking, she didn't check on us at all after bringing our food until she delivered the check, and she was nowhere to be found during almost the entire time we were in the dining room. In fact, no one was in the dining room should we need anything. There must have been something much more interesting going on in the kitchen then serving customers and making money. This is a lousy excuse for a Mimi's Cafe. I understand now why there were no customers--people had already experienced this terribly disgusting environment, sub-standard service, and dungeon-like dining room and decided that there were so many other places to spend their hard-earned money. I even heard the woman at the table next to ours telling her friends about the Mimi's Cafes she had experienced in California and apologizing to her friends for brining them to this location. I question whether the state Clark County Health Department has been to this location in recent years. Thoroughly disgusted. read more

Mimi's is unique and stands apart from your ordinary "family restaurant"...always hitting in, my experiences, on the 4 or 5 star rating for the "family" dining category. The bread basket, the muffins, the seasonally varying menu, interesting drinks- alcoholic and non certainly add to the "character" as do the themed N'awlins decor, patio dining and background music. Order breakfast at IHOP and you get ..blahhh! For nearly the same money, you get truly well prepared food that is far more interesting. Tonight's dinner dish of chicken crepes, with mixed salad on the plate was a great pairing in taste. Add in the go-out-of-your-way-for clam chowder for $2 bucks more, the aforementioned "on the house" bread basket with artisanal offerings (AND WHERE ELSE DOES THAT HAPPEN..or , where else do you even get plain ole bread served gratuitously anymore?) and you are a happy camper with a happy camper's well pleased palette SPECIAL NOTE: If he is working, request to be placed in "Justin's" area. Justin is an outstanding wait person who genuinely enjoys his job. Tonight was the first time I had the pleasure of being waited on by this young man and truly, he reminded of me of one of those waiters in a better steakhouse- always on top of his game with food choice suggestions, congenial, attentive to every need at just the right time and made ya feel like you were his only customer and had ALL of his attention- even though he section was filled with patrons. KUDOS to the young man- an example for others in the industry and a stellar team member for the Mimi's brand. Tonight...an A+ experience from the greeter, to the food and to the service. read more

We are regulars and the French Makeover and taking things off the menu has made us go a lot less often. They have virtually nothing for kids there that kids like. I guess kids are now longer welcome in the FRENCH restaurant. Our kids used to LOVE to go there. Management is rarely seen and they seem to gossip alot about the other staff. Nothing is consistent anymore, the excuse is the cooks vary in ability. What is left on the menu has hokey French names and every little thing is EXTRA. This was a restaurant that was like a neighborhood meeting place prior to the French takeover. Unfortunately, we are looking for a new favorite neighborhood restaurant. When you ask for the Manager Anthony he never has answers only says he will talk to one of his assistant managers. He seems to not do much and pass the buck a lot. We tried this place at night and the serivce was poor. Breakfast service is phenomenal and everyone seems to really care. Wifi is VERY slow. Never see management out and about like you do at other restaurants. I guess that is a sign that they don't want to hear why their customers have to say. read more

I just had lunch at Mimi's cafe. I have had good experience at the Mimi's in the past but today unfortunately it was the worst lunch I have had in a long time. The first thing I want to say is the server is not to blame. The 14 Fries that came out with the burger were awful actually tasted like they were sitting or oil had not been changed. The server had new fries brought. Next the lettuce and tomato on the burger was wilted and soggy and the medium patty was way overcooked. The server was busy and i ate it and paid and left. The cook needs to be retrained I never would have served this to a guest . Being a person who eats out frequently it will not be a place I return to. I have been coming here for 5 years on grabbing one of the best Togo thanksgiving I have had. This year was a total fail I canceled the big order due to another increase but it's okay it's the economy but now I got just the ham and a bean casserole 90.00 and was dry with the rub I was embarrassed no one ate it. Also when I canceled the order the teammate didn't tell the manager or whatever she then tells me since I didn't inform her that she can't do it I'm like how is that my fault her team don't communicate anyways I will sadly never go back and make my plans elsewhere or at home. read more

First time back here in quite a long while. Looks like the company is trying to reinvent itself. All new French themes, greetings, new menu. Looks nicer inside than it did before. Service was very good, no complaints there. Food on the other hand was still just so so. It's an ok place to stop at if you are in the nearby shopping center and just want to rest and eat for a while. Otherwise I wouldn't go out of my way. Have to stress though that the service and staff were great and that goes a long way these days. I will be back at some point and give them another chance to wow me. read more

Mimi's has good food and great deals for locals. But, the service and staff need to be retrained in customer service. During my last dining experience I witnessed multiple issues with service with not only my table but other guest. When the manager was called out to address guests complaints she simply responded as if the guests were bothering her. Staff also ignored patrons as the asked for additional items. Again the food is good for the price but the service is lacking. Sad situation because Mimi's used to be a Henderson locals favorite. read more

Just moved to the area and decided to give this place a try--so glad we did! The food was absolutely amazing, but what really made our experience unforgettable was our waiter, Johnny. He was the cherry on top! The menu is extensive and can feel a bit overwhelming, but Johnny took the time to walk us through it, patiently explaining everything and making great recommendations. I'm absolutely delighted to have discovered Mimi's! It's a charming and immaculate establishment. The cuisine is exceptionally delicious. My go-to order is the Cobb salad and a bran muffin.
