Mimi's has really gotten better. When we arrived, the Hostess was about to seat us at a booth inside. I asked if we could sit on the patio and she said yes. It was beautiful, blue skies, plenty of umbrellas and it felt like we were on vacation. Highly recommend. I had tons of special requests: egg whites, extra butter, extra cheese, crispy potatoes, blah, blah, blah. Our Server, Abraham, accommodated every one. Thanks Abraham! My only complaint is the potatoes were not crispy at all. Overall, I recommend and I will return. If you haven't been here in a while, the menu has changed and it's quite yummy. Mimi's Cafe has been a favorite of mine since I was a kiddo. I've been coming to the one in Long Beach before it closed and the one in Anahiem when I worked there. I was in the area and decided to drop by for breakfast. I'm still in love with their muffins (bran and carrot are my faves). Our server, Millie kept my coffee cup warm and her smile was very welcoming. Mimi's decor always brings back nostalgia for me and it was so cute seeing so many customers enjoying the ambiance that is Mimi's. My wife had their French onion soup which was poorly made. I had the chicken pot pie which was ok. The royal turn off was the condition of the ladies restroom. The paint is peeling off the walls, the toilet was disgusting and the odor or the restroom was atrocious. We will never return to this place. The overall experience was bad. read more

Do not order delivery from this location. I ordered a week in advance on the Mimi's website. On the day of delivery I received notification from door dash (they contract with door dash as I didn't select them) that the driver was on the way to pick up my order. To be delivered to my disabled parents that live a ways away from me. It showed the driver at the restaurant for about 10 or 15 minutes apparently waiting for my order placed over a week before. Next I get an order cancellation notice as the driver must have got tired of waiting. When I called Mimi's I talked to a rude person named Diana that said it's not there problem contact grub hub about the order. First of all it wasn't grub hub that cancelled my order it was door dash that they selected and controlled. I had no way to contact the driver or the company. It was Mimi's order placed on there website and all paid to Mimi's. I then got through to the manager after 5 calls as they would answer put me on hold for 10 minutes or more each time. I did get through to Thomas the manager on the third call and he said hello and before I finished saying hello he hung up on me. When I finally got through again to Thomas (who claims he is both the manager and general manger) his solution was to come and pick up the order myself or he would just cancel the order. Both were very rude and offered no reasonable solutions or even an I'm sorry we didn't have your order ready in a reasonable time, so the driver (Mimi's contracted out to door dash) left and cancelled your order. They even suggested that I didn't tip enough. I tipped 20% on the order. I have also eaten at the restaurant before and had to wait and wait for service and our food, but this is the last time we will give this company our business as they truly do not care about their customers. read more

Service is atrocious today, we come here quite often for a bite to eat. And today we were ignored until my friend said something to a busboy. The waitress helped every other table around us providing drinks food and still nothing. I ordered soup and salad my friend ordered an entree; after complaining to our waitress an hour later my friend's meal arrived along with my salad. It will take a Miracle to get her to come back to this restaurant. Very disappointed. read more
