Another great day at Mimi's!! We stopped in today for lunch and had the pleasure of meeting and having Kass as our service person. She was very friendly and attentive. My husband had the hot honey chicken and waffles which he loved while I did the 3 course meal. I started with French onion soup followed by chicken Cordon Bleu with a baked potato and broccoli as my sides followed by a chocolate lava cake ala mode. Everything as always was amazing! Kass checked on us several times and kept our waters topped off. My husband mentioned that we were going to take a couple of muffins home as well before she cashed us out. She said they had a special going where you bought 4 muffins and received 4 free. Their muffins are fabulous and freeze well. I like Mimi's. My mom and I were invited to a seminar that hosted lunch here in the summer. My mom thought the roast beef sandwich and thin, crispy fries were good. My husband and I had several meals since my lunch/seminar with mom. He is a fan of the pot roast and the bowl of corn chowder. He also likes the ribeye steak here. I like their mashed potatoes. Salads are a bit on the wimpy side though. Here is a brief rundown of dishes I've had at Mimi's which were pleasant: veggie burger + fries quiche florentine club sandwich tuna + cheddar melt As for desserts, the seasonal pecan pie was good but, a little bit too sweet for me. Service can be hit or miss. One time, we had a server who was not very enthusiastic nor attentive. Others were good or ok for the most part. I hope Mimi's hangs in there. There are many restaurants in this area and I know other Mimi's locations in Venture county did not make it. I do like the french cafe style and little french cafe/patio decor above is cute. Overall, it's a 3.5 for us but, rounded down to 3 for purposes of this review. Merci beaucoup. read more

I ordered using Uber Eats thinking that a restaurant like Mimi's would seal their food. Sadly, the food was not sealed. The seal sticker on the outside of the bag is useless because the food inside of the bag is not sealed. I called and spoke to April (manager) and I was told that they do not seal the food items inside the bag. As much as I love Mimi's Cafe, I won't be ordering Uber Eats from there again. I order from smaller businesses and they seal everything. I'm a little surprised. But it's good to know moving forward. read more

We Love Mimi's Cafe and have been fans for many years but it had been a few years since we last went. I was craving their Three Way Grilled Cheese Sandwich so I ordered it for myself and my daughter along with the Tomato Basil soup. I also got an order of the Spinach Artichoke Dip that came with bread. It was so delicious and just as good as I remembered. Mimi's Cafe puts out quality food and we are never disappointed. The Tomato Basil soup was warm and flavorful and the Spinach Artichoke dip is always yummy. Mimi's is wonderful for Brunch and Lunch too. If you haven't been here please check it out soon! read more

I always loved Mimi's, but it just isn't the same. I ordered the Cobb Salad and it didn't have any Turkey on it at all. The rest of the food we ordered was just ok. The restaurant was pretty dead for a Saturday afternoon. I noticed cobwebs in the window where we were sitting, so maybe a little more attention to detail would help. Service was good. And the eggs and bacon was good. Overall great meal. Service 5 out of 5 I was a bit hesitant at first of the service because I'm not a fan of the service at the Downey location but I'm glad we tried this one. BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT CHARGES!! I just checked my statement and I noticed the charge from Mimi's had posted on my credit card. To my surprise, they helped themselves to an additional unauthorized charge of $7.00 on top of what my total (including tip) should have been. Glad I keep a clear record of my daily expenses. Food was fine as well as the service during, but beware of these fraudulent transactions. I've disputed the amount with my credit card and will not be returning. Before you ask... no, the place wasn't busy and yes, I have good handwriting so the total couldn't have been mistaken for a different amount. We need more transparency on what goes on after we add the tip and sign the receipt! read more
