My lashes are annoying. The right eye has a little bit of curl but the left ones just grow straight. I usually heat up my lash curler to curl them but once I put mascara on, they fall down again. I'm sort of a minimalist. I didn't want the high maintenance of getting lash extensions. I went in to get the Keratin Lash Infusion lift. Once I got there, Vivian said that my lashes are thick and the curl won't hold with the Keratin lift. So she did the Elleebana instead. Happy to say that the curl holds! My lashes look so long and fanned out when I put mascara on and I don't even need to use the curler, or use it very lightly. The whole process took about 45 mins, I think. Vivian is the BEST! She did my microbladed brows and my lash lift. I am such a perfectionist and was so scared to get my eyebrows tattooed, but Vivian completely put me at ease, talked me through the whole process and told me she only wanted to do the procedure if I was ready and really wanted me to be comfortable. She was so patient with me and answered all of my questions, and I went through with the microblading. She was super gentle and did very delicate strokes that look exactly like a natural eyebrow. She filled in my sparse areas and gave me the exact look I wanted, while being so sweet and talking to me during the procedure, making the time pass by so fast. After my eyebrows she did my Yumi lash lift which took about an hour and lasts for 10 weeks! My eyelashes stay lifted throughout showers, washing my face, scrubbing my eyes, and everything else! In my opinion the lash lift is way better than lash extensions because I have no restrictions with washing my face or rubbing my eyes, and my eyelashes don't get clumped together. Vivian thoroughly informed me of the aftercare for both my eyebrows and lashes and was very knowledgeable on all questions I asked regarding what I can and can't do to maintain my perfect brows and lashes. I went to Vivian for microblading brows based on her outstanding Yelp reviews, and I was not disappointed! I was very nervous because my first microblading brow experience (at age 58 earlier this year) with someone else was a disaster and I didn't know if I had an unusual sensitivity to microblading or if it was the artist's technique. My previous issues included one brow that became inflamed for several days and therefore looked higher than the other brow, an aftercare process which included applying a liquid that stung, and caused itchiness and large scabs with minimal tattoo underneath. Vivian's technique and aftercare process, by comparison, was so easy and stress-free! Also in contrast to my disaster brow experience, Vivian doesn't use a machine for microblading, so it's nice and quiet. I actually asked her if the microblading had started yet, when it already had, as I was expecting a noisy machine and some pain. Aftercare included washing the brows quickly with mild soap 2X daily and applying an ointment that Vivian provides. Vivian's calm, supportive and professional demeanor reassured me. She listens and communicates well, and makes sure every step of the way that the brow shape and color is what you want. She is responsive to texts before and after the procedure, answering my many questions, and has a delightful personality. Overall, Vivian is a true professional and artist. Vivian was very nice and patient with me when I had my eyebrows microbladed. During my initial visit, we worked together to decide on the shape and color of my eyebrows. She remained kind and patient with me, even after I asked her over and over again, to make several minor adjustments to the shape and arch before the actual procedure. The procedure itself didn't hurt too bad, since Vivian applied numbing cream on my brows before we started. My brows were pretty dark when I left her office. She told me they would get even darker before they lighten up dramatically over the next few weeks. Over the next few weeks, the tattoo began to scab, peel, and lighten up. At one point, it looked like the tattoo had completely peeled off! But then, they miraculously reappeared as the days and weeks went on (whew). I guess it's all part of the whole healing process, so not to worry! I didn't have to fill in my eyebrows at all during the first 6 weeks and I just went back for my touch up session. Vivian made some adjustments to the shape as I requested and ran more hair strokes and shading through my eyebrows to ensure that my brows were nicely filled in and exactly how I wanted them. I have heard stories about the discomfort when doing microblading eyebrows, and the sore after the process. Therefore I was so hesitated to have my eyebrows done, and planned to cancel my appointment due to the fear of pain. I then expressed my concern to Vivian, and she provided so much comfort that made me decide to go with doing my eyebrows. Vivian has been so great throughout my microblading process. Originally, I had heard about her from a friend who had seen Vivian and came back with perfect eyebrows! In the beginning, I wasn't sure whether I wanted to get it done but I went to talk to her and she started by giving me a preview of what my eyebrows would look like if they were partially shaded in. I don't exactly have thin eyebrows, just areas that are sparse. Being happy with the preview, I decided to go ahead and try it out. The result was so great! I no longer stare at my eyebrows wishing they could be fuller. They look super natural and you can't even tell they have been tattoo'd.
