This has been on my waitlist for so long! The beef noodle soup was delicious! The fried chicken was different and unique in a good way! Cucumber salad was solid. Casual place. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Great service. Good pricing.

Absolutely amazed with how good the food is! Housemade braised beef noodle soup was flavorful, delicious, meat was very tender and melt in your mouth. Also tried the seasonal duck confit vermicelli and the meat was also very soft and fell off the bone. Ingredients are different than what they normally use on the regular menu so it was worth trying and was not disappointed. The appetizer chicken wings with sweet potato was light, cooked in beef tallow. The highlight was the ranch dipping sauce which was also housemade! They also have a few different options for desserts and all housemade as well. Can't wait to return and try their Sunday brunch option.

I have been wanting to try Minyoli for a while, and few weeks ago the opportunity came over for it. And undoubtfully it was A-MA-ZING. My gf ordered the flight, and there was a person explaining to her what every glass is made of, the notes and the process that made it . The waiter was amazing, he was on everything and making sure we were doing great. The place wasn't loud and good to enjoy time with your friends without yelling. For appetizers we got different things, like the popcorn chicken, the chicken wings, tofu and century egg, braised beef and kelp, radish and tofu. Everything was amazing and love all of it. For main dish I got the jajamien, that I completely finish it quick since it reminds me the classical taiwanese food on china, so it is great to know there is one around the city to eat whenever I have a craving for it. And for dessert, the ice cream taco was on point, I was sketptical at the beggining but once you try it, it all make sense, the flour tortillas, with the ice cream and some crunchyness, was unexpectedly amazing. Full score to this place A+

Came here to check out their Sunday only menu. If you prefer to sit inside the cutesy Asian decorated restaurant I highly recommend reservations in advance or else they can only seat you in their back patio which is clean but lacks charm. The foods came out very fast so kudos to the chefs. Our waiter however provided bare bone minimal service. The popcorn chicken was a good start as its light batter and perfectly seasoned profile provided a promising start to what we were expecting afterwards...a handpie (must use the added sauce for flavor) and the hose special sesame noodle served cold was very underwhelming. Had a very starchy aftertaste in my mouth. Sadly i wished I had come in on any other day except Sunday to try the main menu items. Sorry this one fell flat for me.

4.5/5, phenomenal and cute spot for lunch. Warm, hot noodles with a super clean interior. Staff was super friendly. Friend street corn was quite tasty, and something I haven't had before. Big fan of the overall flavor level and seasoning. Sesame noodles were also good. One very small complaint I had was pointed out by our server. "The sesame noodles taste great when you order the chili oil and add it", which is true, but I also tried it and the noodles tasted pretty meh without it. I wish the noodles just came with the sauce included instead of having to pay extra, bc the jump in flavor was so much I couldn't really imagine eating it without. Again, super minor gripe

What a treat! I usually don't find a well made Taiwanese beef noodle soup. And when I do, I could literally eat this all day. The broth was rich and flavorful. And the beef was melt in your mouth tender. The noodles were cooked to al dente. I'm even salivating as I'm writing this review. I would definitely recommend trying it!

This was my second time at Minyoli, and it was even better than the first! We went as a group and split a few dishes. Even thought the restaurant was busy, the service was was quick and attentive. They were good about refilling our waters which I appreciated. We tried the corn, the sesame noodles, and the vegan mushroom lu rou fan. Even though the corn was a side dish, it might have been my favorite! The corn was so tender and I LOVED the garlicky, sticky coating. It was soooo good! The noodles and rice dish were also both very good. The lu rou fan rice dish was on the sweet side and was really good when you add chili oil. The sesame noodles were also so great. I love that there are veryyy good vegan / veg options! This is a spot you can't miss if you're in Andersonville!

tried the restaurant week brunch and it was a good time! our server whom also helps run the business was very nice. it was a fun experience to try a taste of taiwanese food! portions were smaller for the 4 course tasting menu for restaurant week. our favs were both brunch drinks, the shao bing, and the mala noodles! they also offered us a complimentary apple sidra drink for my birthday celebration which was very kind.

Now that it's winter time, nothing like warming up with authentic Taiwanese soups and noodle dishes! The Four Gods Beef Noodle Soup is milder than the Red Braised version, but both have generous amount of beef. Highly reco the Signature Snacks, especially the Taiwanese Fried Chicken bites and Luiwei Veg Platter Pineapple tart with prickly pear ice cream We did an earlier reservation on a Friday night. Service was exceptional. Especially appreciated the server explaining the different dishes so our table could have a variety. Impressed our guests who were from Taiwan too.

My goal is to try 50 new Chicago restaurants in 2025! Restaurant: 32/50 Month tried: June Favorite dish: TBD Was really bummed when we walked in to Minyoli on a Saturday morning and they were only serving their brunch menu, which doesn't have any noodles on it!! Well, they have one cold noodle salad, but really not what we were expecting walking into a restaurant known for their noodles. Even sadder - I did not like my chicken and waffles. It was a very unique combo of flavors, and could have been good except my waffle was completely raw inside. This is where my promise to rate every new restaurant this year is tough - I don't feel like my opinion of Minyoli after one brunch is very fair. I very much want to come back during dinner and actually have some noodles. I'm hoping to do that soon and update my review.

First off, the service here was exceptional. My friend and I sat at the bar and our waitress was so fun, informative, and answered our questions with enthusiasm and great detail. I got a rice bowl - the beef Lu-rou-fan- and my friend got the four gods niuroumian. We shared the popcorn chicken. For drinks I got the Taiwanese pineapple beer and she got the sour plum house soda. A few thoughts: I wish my main had a bit more of the beef + mushroom and less rice. The popcorn chicken was delicious and we both enjoyed the plum powder but do wish it was a bit more hot + crunchy texture-wise- the chicken was room temp and tasted like it had been sitting out for a bit. Our drinks were good although my friend did note that she wished there was more carbonation to her house soda. Overall, Minyoli is a cute spot with great ambiance and amazing service and we enjoyed the different flavors present in the dishes we ordered.

Amazing experience overall. We made reservations for Saturday evening; got sat quicky-- the space is beautiful and simply decorated. We ordered mocktails: nightmarket fruit stand and sour plum.. both we good and had unique flavors. We got fried chicken as an appetizer and it was super good, so much flavor and easy to eat. I could of eaten the whole thing by myself. Our entrees-- were fantastic. We ordered the spicy tallow and the beef noodle soup with tendons. The soup was excellent and the tendons just melts in your mouth. The beef broth was the best I've had at a restaurant (perfect for fall weather). Finally, we ordered the cheesecake, it was good but not memorable. I look forward to trying other items on the menu in the future.

Anisa and I went here, and when we picked up a Taiwanese Fried Chicken piece with curiosity and placed it in our mouths, our eyes bulged with excitement, and our lips pursed with a smile. Taiwanese chicken is a popular street snack at night markets, and has a dusting of star anise, cloves, cinnamon, Sichuan peppercorns, and fennel seed. The chicken bites are itty bitty, but are still somehow magically juicy inside. We asked for suggestions and were educated about the Red-braised Niuroumian Soup Noodles, which is made with a 24-hour beef bone broth. You get a choice of a full portion of beef, tendon, or half and half. The pickled mustard greens stood out to me in the soup, as they added a brightness and acidity to the rich beef and bone broth. I am already looking forward to the leftovers, because they will be just as good, if not better. The Ganban Noodles are served hot in winter and cold in the summer. The colorful room brought some brightness and warmth to a cold Chicago winter, and the warm-hearted staff did too.

I came to Hello Jasmine during a conference at McCormick Place because, let's be real, my dudes,…read morefood at the conference center is largely uninspiring and expensive. One of my friends who went to grad school in Chicago (whose food recommendations I trust with my life) told me I had to check out Hello Jasmine, so I hopped on the bus. I'm so glad I did. The cafe itself is ADORABLE. I happened to visit just before Halloween (10/28), and it was decorated in the most charming "spooky cute" way. There were little Halloween touches everywhere, and someone on staff is very clearly a Harry Potter fan. It somehow managed to feel festive, cozy, and cheerful all at once. I ordered the matcha fresh boba milk tea with fresh milk. My default is always 0% sugar because my biggest beverage pet peeve is when drinks are too sweet. (Despite being an ABC, one thing that definitely survived is my instinct to say "not too sweet, please".) The cashier gently talked me into getting 30% sugar because she said the matcha could be a little bitter otherwise. She was absolutely right. 30% percent was perfect. It was balanced, smooth, and so good that I accidentally drank it much faster than I meant to. (Oops.) I also ordered the pig blood rice cakes (made them spicy), and wow. I don't think I've ever seen these anywhere in Boston. They were seared, spicy, savory, just a tiny bit sweet, and 100% delicious. I was so excited to find something that felt a little harder to come by. 11/10, I would absolutely come back. In fact, my only complaint is that it wasn't closer to the convention center. I probably could have expensed lunch there, and honestly, those corporate dollars would have been much better spent here than on conference catering. I wish I lived in Chicago just so I could stop by more often. Hats off to Jasmine and the staff. It feels bright, authentic, and full of joy. I imagine it's exactly the kind of cafe where students go after a long week to recharge over a really good drink and something comforting to eat, and I'm so glad it exists.

My fruit tea that I got with my combo bento was also too sweet for me; though I got half sugar, it tasted like more than half. Really generous portions for one though. There aren't many seats available so it feels like a semi boba shop as well. To sum it up, I would say it is ~70 to 80% authentic, which is not bad in my opinion. Braised Pork Over Rice 招牌滷肉飯: The presentation was beautiful and the flavor was actually pretty good. In Taiwan, this dish is usually more on the sweeter side, due to the sugar and shallots added. Here, it is more peppery and savory, and the flavor was actually really good. The beans and the mustard greens were very delicious as well. Even though the flavor profile is slightly different, this was well made and something I would come back for. Noodles with black pepper sauce 胡椒鐵板麵: traditionally this dish is called蘑菇鐵板麵, which uses mushrooms, black pepper and other sauces as a base. The flavor was good, but I wish that there were more mushroom and sauce to balance the black pepper. In my opinion, this dish tasted very different from what I used to eat, but it is not bad on its own. 2/4 Fried pork chops: the meat was fried very well, and it was pretty peppery and crispy. However, I think there are different spices and flavor missing, including white pepper, msg, garlic, Thai basil, cayenne pepper, and more. I wished that the savoriness and spiciness popped up more, and I thought the spice blend and the marinade could definitely use some improvement. 3/4 Beef noodle soup 牛肉麵: I thought the bone broth was pretty good, but I believe the flavor profile should be wider, like tomatoes, five spice, 豆瓣醬, soy sauce, and more. It was a stripped down version, and I wished that is reflected in the name of the item (renaming it "clear soup" etc). Also, the amount of meat they gave us was a little bit pitiful (there were like four pieces), and there were two pieces of bok choy. When Taiwanese people eat beef noodle soup, we definitely expect more. 2/4 Additionally, I wish the drinks were made with some fresh ingredients (not just syrup or creamer), as standard/good quality boba shops from Taiwan try to make drinks as fresh as possible. That is high ask, but I just wanted to note that as a suggestion for improvement. Overall, I thought the food was pretty decent. Would I say it is the most representative Taiwanese restaurant in Chicago? No. The staff was actually Chinese loll. But I do think it reminds me of some flavors and food I grew up eating in Taiwan. If you like popcorn chicken and pork, it is likely a good place for you.

Vibes in the space are fine, it's an efficient little cafe The biggest thing is that there's really an opportunity for more sauces! For the fries, for the popcorn chicken, for example, a sauce would make a big difference to dip it in. I like this place and expect to be back

My only nitpick is that I personally prefer a thicker, chewier dumpling wrapper. The Dan Dan Noodles were the standout. Creamy, nutty, crunchy from the peanuts, packed with flavor, and not overly spicy. It was my first time trying dan dan noodles and now I totally understand the hype. 8/10. The Xian Bing took about 25 minutes to come out, which makes sense since they're made fresh. The lamb filling was flavorful and the outside was super crispy, almost like a scallion pancake. The bread itself was softer and thicker than I expected and could've used a little more flavor.
